The new initiative is designed so that teams have $20 a head, once a month, to collaborate together on how they are going currently and any improvements that can be made from themselves and their sector as a whole over lunch/dinner and have a bit of fun with a team building exercise. The call centre enjoyed a delicious platter of mixed cheese, fruits and gourmet sandwiches before hitting a round of 18 holes. The winners of the day were Toni Hooper from the Hot team, Karen Cassel from the Warm Team and Patrick Rooney from the New Team. Lots of laugher, sweat and tears brought the team even closer together. This is a great example of how the new initiative has been used to not only discuss where the business is heading and individual performance but also enjoy an afternoon out to build stronger comradeship between our staff members and have a bit of fun in the process! We look forward to hearing

NDIS- Your Questions Answered
A parent who just attended a Parents’ Support Forum has raised with us that he was informed that he would be required to provide a Carer’s Statement (which we have not heard of). He also advised that he was told this was a piece of information that has just come out of the Hunter Trial Region. Please advise as he is very anxious to find out the accurate information. Answer: Yes it does exist but is NOT mandatory. Only if it is agreed between the NDIS Participant & Carer that a Carer Statement will benefit the participant (in instances such as difficulties meeting outcomes because of a situation/ issue in the home, extenuating circumstances, declining health due to disability etc.) will one be needed.
