Chipping Norton Granted An Upgrade
If you had the power what would you change about the world: That education becomes free for everyone. What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you: My wife supported me through 6 months of chemotherapy – along with family and friends. If you had to teach something what would you teach:Emotional intelligence to the disempowered, closely followed by mental resilience to amateur and professional golfers. Something no one knows about me:Only consumed water for 12 days (no food), as a personal goal and many other different reasons.
Recently our Chipping Norton Lifestyle Centre received a new pergola for their backyard thanks to a generous $25,399 grant from NSW Government Community Building Partnerships. The clients love the shaded area under the new pergola, spending a lot more time in the backyard than ever before. The new pergola will also have Café blinds which will be able to close in windy and rainy weather and use as another room.

Currently Seeking Expressions Of Interest We are currently seeking expressions of interest for staff interested in upskilling themselves and being a ‘Disability Fitness Trainer’ as part of our Health and Wellbeing initiative. We will train our staff via an online training program that has easy-to-digest modules which outline the medical conditions associated with specific disabilitytypes, including the best exercises that will benefit these disability-types. Staff will attain the knowledge to support our clients with participation in fitness programs, including providing relevant and adequate support. The training is self-paced, and staff receive a certificate for each module, once they pass the online exam. Afford will pay for staff to be trained in these modules and will receive a higher rate when delivering these fitness programs to our clients.
