Welcome‌‌ And a very Happy New Year! This time of year brings much excitement as romance is always in the air with wedding and honeymoon plans taking shape.
This month, we're suggesting some wonderful places to say 'I do' as well as some exciting and adventurous honeymoon options. And of course our experts are on hand to make all those thoughts and dreams a reality.
AFRICAabout & BEYOND TO Messing on GUIDE the River!
WEDDING DESTINATIONS When planning a wedding, one of the first things to decide is, where? Whilst almost anything is possible, our four most popular wedding settings in Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean are a safari, Cape Town, the Winelands and beach. Each of these settings offers a unique perspective that can be personalised to create the perfect feel and style to suit you.
So many of our lodge/hotel partners now have designated very special areas of their properties for weddings from the banks of the Zambezi River to glorious gardens within the Winelands. They help us plan, prepare and provide those key details and special touches.
On safari Elephants as ushers, hippos as page boys! Well not quite, but certainly curious on lookers as a wealth of camps from Tanzania to Zambia, South Africa to Kenya offer exciting and unusual places to tie the knot. An island in the middle of the Zambezi, a wedding breakfast in the wilderness, or an elephant back ride arrival instead of a car. All these things and more are possible when you let your imagination run wild on safari.

On the beach
You’d be right to instantly think of Mauritius or the Seychelles for a beach wedding, but the pristine coastal stretches in Mozambique or Zanzibar as well as the numerous South African beaches, might also offer the ideal wedding location.
The Winelands
The Winelands in the Western Cape of South Africa are lush, green and beautiful and provide the most serene backdrop for a wedding ceremony. Many charming and picturesque guesthouses are found here providing first class hospitality.

Brides & grooms say their vows under the watchful gaze of Table Mountain. Outstandingly attractive locations such as Kirstenbosch Gardens, Camps Bay, gorgeous hotels & private villas and the Waterfront all offer idyllic settings.
A Dream of a Safari After the whirl of a wedding, a relaxing safari is an ideal way to start a honeymoon. Here are just a few of our favourite safari lodges in pristine, remote locations where if feels like the rest of the world is a million miles away.
Azura Selous - Tanzania The setting here could not be more perfect. This luxury camp is positioned on the banks of the Ruaha River in Selous Game Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is teeming with wildlife and birds. The camp is set in a remote region of the park and throughout your stay you’ll be hard pressed to see vehicles from other camps and with just 12 luxury tented villas, exclusivity comes as standard. Each individually designed villa feels like a private haven with views over the river, where hippo calls serenade you to sleep. Awaken refreshed the next morning ready for a thrilling game drive, walk or boating safari. Alternatively take some time out in the spa or soak up the surroundings from your private plunge pool.
