The Rise of the GayGB and the Pink Inquisition or prosecuted, for expressing their sincere convictions.
The Soviet Union’s Secret Police – the KGB – was a vicious persecutor of Christians who opposed communism. Millions of Christians were investigated, interrogated, tortured, imprisoned and murdered for failing to comply with political party orders, or for failing to pay homage to the Dictator of the Soviet Union at the time. 50 Million were sent to freeze, or starve, to death in the 1800 concentration camps, many in Siberia. The KGB also used “Active Measures” disinformation to discredit critics and undermine “enemies of the Soviet state”. Today, homosexual activist bullies – “the GayGB”, are the rising KGB of the West –– a force of radical homosexuals whose aim seems to include desensitising, intimidating, silencing and prosecuting Christians for their beliefs on marriage and morality. All over the world, Christians are being targeted, bullied and prosecuted for believing what the Bible teaches about the institution of marriage, sexuality and family.

1. Constitutional Court to Decide Whether State Can Determine Church Doctrine The Constitutional Court will soon hear argument on whether Ecclesia de Lange (the lesbian minister whose service as an ordained minister of the Methodist Church was discontinued following her announcement that she was getting “married” to her same-sex partner) should be granted leave to appeal the Supreme Court of Appeal’s decision that courts should not get entangled in doctrinal disputes of local churches or denominations.

The KGB, Active Measures, Disinformation and Subversion
Cheka
A term of terror in the Soviet Union, the KGB was the Committee for State Security of the Soviet Union. Initially it was named the Cheka (Emergency Committee) and founded 20 December 1917, by the instruction of Vladimir Lenin. The Cheka was established by Felix Dzerzhinsky. The Cheka was tasked by the Soviet
Politburo with arresting, torturing and executing many tens-of-thousands of dissidents, deserters, reactionaries and counter revolutionaries.
NKVD and the GULAG
In 1922 the Cheka was renamed the NKVD (People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs). The NKVD included border guards and archives. The NKVD is most notorious for running the GULAG forced labour camps, conducting mass extra-judicial executions, espionage, political assassinations and enforcing Stalinist policy within communist movements in other countries. GULAG was the acronym for Main Administration of Corrective Labour Camps. Continued on page 10

2. Freedom of Speech Attacked A Christian University of Cape Town (UCT) student was suspended from the Student Representative Council (SRC) for expressing her Biblical beliefs on her personal Facebook page. Zizipho Pae, a final year student and VicePresident of the SRC at UCT, joined millions of people around the world by posting her opinion on her Facebook page in response to the recent US Supreme Court ruling that legalised same-sex “marriage” in all 50 states in America. The backlash to her brief post went beyond irrational. Homosexual activists at UCT launched a vicious tirade of hate and intimidation against her. Ironically, the attackers demand tolerance. Homosexual pornography and the most depraved anti-Christian blasphemy were posted on her Facebook page. She was also personally threatened, insulted and vilified in most despicable ways. In response to the unlawful SRC ruling, Pae asked the Vice Chancellor to intervene. In a letter to Zizipho Pae, the UCT Vice-Chancellor stated that the decision to expel her from the SRC was found invalid and that she must be re-instated. Despite this delayed justice, this is a great victory for religious freedom and free speech in South Africa. Zizipho continues to receive unfair discrimination in SRC committee arrangements. “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.” Acts 4:19 3. Guesthouse Owners Targeted The Christian owners of The House of Bread Guesthouse in Wolseley, Western Cape, were hauled before the Equality Court in Bellville for choosing not to host a gay couple in their home in 2013. The court hearing followed an 2
investigation by the SA Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) following a complaint by a gay couple. On 24 June 2014, the Equality Court in Bellville ruled that the dispute between the homosexual couple and the Christian owners of House of Bread Guest House in Wolseley, be referred to an agreed institution for conciliation, mediation or negotiation. In Court, the Magistrate pointed out that, on the facts as agreed between the parties, it is clear that the Christian owners already on a previous occasion when the issue first arose and before legal proceedings were instituted against them, were desirous to amicably resolve the matter, but that the homosexual couple were not interested. 5. Church Fined for Firing Gay The Pretoria High Court ruled that the NG Kerk Moreleta Park discriminated against a gay music teacher (2008). Johan Strydom was fired from the church’s arts academy because of his unrepentant homosexuality. The church argued that Strydom set a bad example for his students by being involved in a gay relationship but Judge Deon Basson said it was not part of his job description to be a role model for Christianity. The church was ordered to apologise to Strydom and to pay R87 000 to “compensate for his loss of dignity and income”.(www.myboradband.co.za)
America
6. Ordered to Create Dating Site for Homosexuals Neil Clark Warren, the Christian founder of the popular dating site eHarmony, was sued by a homosexual man because his website did not provide for homosexual dating. In 2008, Warren was ordered by the New Jersey attorney general to create a dating site for homosexuals. If he refused, he would not be allowed to operate in the state at all. 4. SAHRC Harasses Christians A Christian arts training centre in Bloemfontein was found guilty of human rights violations for discriminating against homosexuals, the SA Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) ruled on 8 April 2013.
Thought Control
The SAHRC ordered that the Creare Training Centre amend its constitution to accommodate “diversity” and attend “sensitisation workshops” conducted by the Institute for Social Justice and Reconciliation Studies at the University of the Free State.
Freedom of Religion
The Department of Justice ordered the SAHRC to investigate alleged antihomosexual discrimination by the centre, following media reports that it claims that it can cure gay students and that if they refused treatment, they would be expelled. According to its policy statement, the Creare centre is available to offer ministry support, in the form of Biblical teaching, prayer and encouragement to students who want to change their sexual orientation. 7. Fined $135,000 For Refusing to Design a Gay-Themed Cake In 2013, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries ruled that Aaron and Melissa Klein, the Christian owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, violated civil rights laws when they refused to design a cake for a lesbian wedding. They were fined $135,000 as “compensatory damages for emotional, mental, and physical

suffering.” They were also slapped with a gag order that prohibits them from speaking publicly about their refusal to participate in, or design, wedding cakes, for same-sex unions. 8. Another Baker Fined Also in 2013, a judge in Colorado ruled that Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Denver violated antidiscriminatory laws when he refused to design a cake for a homosexual wedding. 9. Photographers Targeted The New Mexico Supreme Court ruled (22 August 2013) that two Christian photographers, Elaine and Jonathan Huguenin, who declined to provide their services at a homosexual union ceremony, violated the state’s Human Rights Act. (www.blackchristiannews.com)
10. Florists Targeted The Washington state attorney general filed a lawsuit against Barronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene’s Flowers & Gifts, when she declined to provide flowers for a homosexual wedding.
Barronelle Stutzman has served and employed people who identify as homosexual for her entire career. Despite this, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Washington
Attorney General claimed that she was guilty of unlawful discrimination when she acted consistent with her Faith and declined to use her creative skills to beautify the same-sex ceremony of a long-time customer and friend for his same-sex wedding. (Alliance Defending Freedom, www.adflegal.org). On 18/02/2015, Benton County Superior Court Judge Alexander Ekstrom ruled that she had violated the state’s anti-discrimination law. Ms. Stutzman is now appealing the ruling. 11. Couple Threatened for Refusing Gay Wedding Ceremony In Iowa, Dick and Betty Odgaard, the Mennonite Christian owners of Görtz Haus, an art gallery, restaurant and wedding venue located in a former church building, declined to give a homosexual couple permission to hold their “wedding” ceremony at the location. The Odgaards were forced to pay $5,000 to the gay couple. They also received threatening phone calls and e-mails from angry homosexuals. The resulting media slander and boycotts caused them to close their business. (www.becketfund.org).

Pro-Family Groups Labelled “Hate Groups” in US Army Several dozen army active duty and reserve troops were told during a mandatory military training session in Mississippi (October 2013) that influential pro-family groups such as American Family Association are classified as “domestic hate groups” (www. lifesitenews.com) 13. Walt Disney World Threatens Boy Scouts Funding Unless They Allow Homosexual Scoutmasters In March 2014, Walt Disney World (Orlando, Florida) said they would stop funding the local Boy Scouts chapter unless the group allows open homosexuals to serve as Scoutmasters. The Scouts have claimed that it would open themselves up to ruinous lawsuits if any
scoutmasters sexually abused scouts in their care. On May 23, the Boy Scouts approved a resolution saying that “no youth may be denied membership in the Boy Scouts of America on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone.” Then on 13 July 2015, the Boy Scouts of America Executive Committee unanimously approved allowing gay adults to serve as scoutmasters. These policy changes have caused many parents to instead enrol their children in the Royal Rangers or Trail Life USA (TLUSA), Christian alternatives created by scouting leaders (www.lifesitenews. com). 14. Family Research Council Security Guard Shot By Gay Terrorist In 2012, a homosexual activist walked into the Family Research Council Headquarters in Washington and said “I don’t like your politics” and opened fire on a security guard. Despite being shot in the arm, the guard managed to wrestle the gun away before anyone else was hurt. The 28-year-old terrorist, Floyd Lee Corkins, said in a videotaped confession that he hoped the atrocity would make a statement against the people who work in that building “with their stance against gay rights…” (www. cbsnews.com)

15. Couple Receive Death Threats After Refusing Homosexual Couple The Christian owners of the bedand-breakfast Chymorvah House in Cornwall, England, Hazelmary and Peter Bull, received death threats and were sued after declining to provide lodging for a homosexual couple. After a legal trial resulted in them having to

Bakers Fined Ashers Baking Company in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is appealing a ruling, which said that the business broke the law by declining to decorate a cake with a pro-gay marriage campaign slogan. The McArthur family, who own and run Ashers, said they could not fulfil the order because it conflicted with their Christian beliefs about marriage. The bakery was taken to court by the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland and ordered to pay £500 in compensation.
17. 69-Year-Old Street Preacher Arrested and Charged for Sermon In Bournemouth, 2002, Harry Hammond, a Christian pensioner, was convicted under the public order laws for saying that homosexuality was immoral. Mr Hammond, 69 at the time, was preaching in Bournemouth town centre holding a sign bearing the words, “Jesus Gives Peace, Jesus is Alive, Stop Immorality, Stop Homosexuality, Stop Lesbianism, Jesus is Lord”. A crowd of around 40 people who disagreed with his preaching forced him to the ground where some people poured mud and water on him. When two police officers eventually turned up at the scene it was the Evangelist who was arrested

18. Street Preacher Arrested Greater Manchester Police accused 57-year-old John Craven of public order offences after two teenage boys approached him in September 2011 and asked what he thought of homosexuals. Mr Craven responded by quoting the Bible’s stance on homosexuality, but said that “whilst God hates sin He loves the sinner”. The teenagers then kissed in front of him and taunted him with suggestive sexual acts. Mr Craven was arrested after the pair told the officer they felt insulted by Mr Craven’s comments. Thankfully, Mr Craven received £13,000 as compensation for wrongful arrest, false imprisonment and breach of his human rights. 19. Pensioners Interrogated In 2005, Christian pensioners, Joe and Helen Roberts, were subjected to an 80-minute interrogation by police because they had expressed opposition to their local council spending public money on ‘gay rights’ projects. No criminal offence was committed and yet the police refuse to apologise for their intimidation of people over their opinions.

21. Guesthouse Owners Fined The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal fined the owners of a nowclosed Riverbend Bed and Breakfast $4,500 for declining a gay couple a reservation in 2009. Les and Susan Molnar, the former owners of Riverbend B&B, in Grand Forks, British Columbia, cited religious convictions for why they could not agree to rent a room to Shaun Eadie and Brian Thomas. Germany
22. Christian Parents Assaulted When up to a thousand conservative Christian parents at a rally in Stuttgart, Germany (1 February 2014) were protesting against a new “sexual diversity” curriculum in schools, homosexual demonstrators blockaded the march, interrupted the rally speeches with heckling and assaulted the listeners, through shoving and throwing paint bombs and eggs. A poster that was against the homosexualising of children was set on fire by the rioters. The police, instead of dealing with the assailants and bringing order, came and took the side of the homosexual rioters, forcing the Christian protesters to leave. Sweden
20. Violence at Parliament In 1998, when the House of Lords voted against reducing the homosexual age of consent, gay rights activists outside Parliament became violent. Protesters scuffled with the police
23. Swedish Pastor Locked Up for Preaching on Romans One A Swedish pastor, Rev. Ake Green, in 2005, was charged with inviting hatred against homosexuals after a sermon urging Christians to show homosexuals “deep respect” and offer them the

“grace of Jesus Christ.” He called sexual immorality, including homosexuality, a “cancerous growth” in society. He was convicted and sentenced to one month in jail. The Swedish Supreme Court acquitted him on appeal.
What Will Happen if We Do Not Resist the Pink Agenda?
Pastors, churches and Christians may think they are exempt from the Pink Inquisition, but here is what is going to happen in the near future if we do not rise up and stop the homosexual agenda right now: 1. Churches will be sued for not marrying same-sex couples in church ceremonies. 2. Churches will be sued for not allowing homosexual couples to use their facilities. 3. Churches will be sued for not hiring homosexuals to work on the church staff, including youth groups and worship leaders. 4. Churches will be sued for firing someone after finding out that they are a practicing, unrepentant homosexual. 5. Homosexuals are going to want to teach in Christian schools and church day care centers as well as work in church nurseries on Sundays. Some effeminate homosexual men are going to want to work in the daycare and nursery like a woman. If a church refuses to let them do so, they will sue.
6. Homosexual couples will begin applying to adopt children at Christian pregnancy centers. When they are refused, they will sue. 7. Homosexual couples will begin showing up at Christian counseling centers wanting to undergo marriage counseling or family counseling. When a pastor or family counselor refuses to counsel or advise them, in a pro-homosexual way, they will sue. (Christian chaplains are already suffering backlash in the military. Chaplains have been court martialed for not providing pro-homosexual “marriage counselling”.) 8. If a church has the courage to practice church discipline and revoke the membership of a known, unrepentant homosexual, that homosexual could sue the church for his tithes and other financial contributions (such as to the church’s building fund, etc.). As a pastor, you might be thinking that the ‘nice, kind homosexuals’ in your congregation would never do that. However, do not underestimate the demonic and extremely vindictive spirit of homosexuality. We will begin to see more and more of these kinds of intimidating situations in the near future. As a pastor, you might be saying, ‘I’m just going to be nice and appease the homosexuals. I am just going to preach the good news, love everybody, and hope for the best.’ However, if you do not stand up now against the homosexual social engineering agenda, you may not have a church to preach in at all. Yes, God commands us to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel to
every creature” (Mark 16:15), but He also commands us to “reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Timothy 4:2), and to “cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins” (Isaiah 58:1). The Reign of Terror
The NKVD was officially responsible to protect the State Security of the Soviet Union through massive political repression, including kidnappings, murders and assassinations, both locally and internationally.
Active Measures
Active Measures was a Soviet term for the actions of political warfare conducted by the Soviet Security services (Cheka, NKVD and KGB), to influence the course of world events (in addition to collecting intelligence and producing politically correct assessment of it). Active Measures included: media manipulations through disinformation, propaganda, counterfeiting official documents, infiltrating churches, intimidating dissidents, character assassinations, fines, imprisonments and assassinations.
The Soviet Heart and Soul
Active Measures included the establishment and support of international front organisations such as the World Peace Council, setting up terrorist groups, or Wars of National Liberation, in Third World countries, infiltrating the World Council of Churches, educational institutions, the entertainment industries and the news media. KGB General Oleg Kalugin described Active Measures as “the heart and soul of Soviet Intelligence”.
Infiltration and Subversion
Kalugin described Active Measures as: “Subversion: active measures to weaken the West, to drive wedges in the Western community alliances of all sorts, particularly NATO, to sow discord amongst allies, to weaken the United States alliance to

The Andropov Institute of the KGB in Yasenevo, near Moscow, taught Active Measures as a system of special courses. The head of the Active Measures department was Yuri Modin, the former controller of the Cambridge Five Spy Ring, which effectively undermined British Intelligence.
Disinformation Campaigns
Some of the famous Active Measures conducted by the KGB that are documented by now declassified archives, include: stirring up racial tensions in the United States by staging incidents and mailing bogus letters reported to come from the Klu Klux Klan, placing explosive packages in Negro sections of the American population (under Operation PANDORA) and fabricating the story that the AIDS virus was manufactured by US scientists.
Exploiting Peace Movements
One Soviet department, the GRU, alone, spent more than US$1 Billion, to fund the peace movements in America, protesting the Vietnam War. They described these movements as “A hugely successful campaign and well worth the cost.” Stanislav Lunev claimed that the GRU and KGB helped to fund just about every anti-war movement and organisation in America, Great Britain, throughout Europe and South Africa.
The Battle for Hearts and Minds According to Oleg Kalugin: “Soviet Intelligence was really unparalleled… a KGB programme which would run all sorts of congresses, peace congresses, youth congresses, festivals, women’s movements, trade union movements, campaigns against the US in Europe… allegations that AIDS was invented by the CIA, all sorts of forgeries and fake materials were targeted at politicians, the academic community and at the public at large.”
Toppling Governments
The KGB was involved in undermining and installing governments. The KGB played a key role in installing puppet communist regimes throughout Eastern Europe, the Peoples Republic of China, North Korea and Afghanistan. The KGB coordinated mass political repressions and the establishment
of subordinate secret services in all occupied territories.
Agent Provocateurs
One of the tactics used by the KGB was an Agent Provocateur (inciting agent). An Agent Provocateur is an undercover agent who acts to entice another person to commit an illegal, or rash act, or falsely implicates others in taking part in the illegal act. The goal of the Agent Provocateur is to discredit, or harm, another group by provoking them to commit a crime, or implicating them in a crime to undermine the group, protest, or movement, as a whole. In the Trust Operation (1921-1926) the Soviets set up fake anti-Bolshevik underground organisations, including the Monarchist Union of Central Russia, to control and neutralise monarchists and other counter-revolutionaries. The KGB used Provocateurs to entrap and discredit anti-communist groups, which they described as reactionaries and counter-revolutionaries.
Betrayal of Resistance Fighters After the Second World War, many NKVD agents were sent to join independence movements and to create puppet rebel forces, who were even permitted to attack local Soviet authorities, to gain credibility and exfiltrate senior NKVD agents to the West, to neutralise true resistance movements.
Directing Global Terrorism
KGB General Alexsandr Sakharovsky declared: “In today’s world, when nuclear arms have made worldwide force obsolete, terrorism should become our main weapon.” Ion Mihai Pacepa declared that the KGB was the primary instructor of guerrillas worldwide. General Sakharovsky claimed that: “Aeroplane hijacking is my own invention.” In 1969, 82 aircraft were hijacked worldwide by the PLO alone. The KGB established the PLO and financed, the National

Liberation Army of Bolivia (in 1964 with the help of Ernesto Che Guevara), SWAPO, ZANU-PF, Frelimo, MPLA, ANC and PAC in Southern Africa and many more.
Assassination Attempt
The KGB was also implicated in Mehmet Ali Agca’s 1981 assassination attempt against pope John Paul II because of his strong links with the anti-Communist Solidarity Movement in Poland.
America Under FDR
The GRU (Military Intelligence of the Soviet Union) recruited Alger Hiss, an American lawyer and State Department official, who later was the first General Secretary of the United Nations. Alger Hiss was identified by Whittaker Chambers, a former Communist Party member. Chambers also identified Harry Dexter White of the Treasury Department who set up the IMF (International Monetary Fund), as a Soviet Agent.
The Profumo Scandal
The Profumo scandal which brought down Harold McMillan’s Conservative government in Great Britain and brought the Labour Party to power in the 1964 general election, was a masterful example of KGB Active Measures, including entrapment, propaganda and assassination. John Profumo was the Secretary of State for War in Britain. He was involved for a short time in an affair with Christine Keeller, a 19 year old model, who was also the girlfriend of Captain Yevgeny Ivanhov, the Soviet Naval Attaché.
Timing and Assassination
Although this affair had ended in 1961, the KGB Active Measures timed the publication of the scandal for 1963, just before the general elections. With the Conservative government
disgraced by this public scandal, the way was clear for Hugh Todd Gaitskell, the leader of the Labour Party to become the next prime minister of Great Britain. The abrupt and strange death of Gaitskell, at age 56, left an opening for Harold Wilson to exploit and seize control of the Labour Party and therefore become the next Prime Minister of Great Britain. Peter Wright’s 1987 book, Spycatcher and Soviet defector, Anatoliy Golitsyn, claimed that Gaitskell was assassinated by the KGB in order to place their agent of influence, Harold Wilson, into the key position of Prime Minister of Great Britain. Wilson oversaw the disastrous betrayal of Rhodesia and other key aspects of the British Commonwealth, as well as the implosion of the British economy and escalation of the war in Northern Ireland.
Neutralising British Intelligence
Soviet agents infiltrated British Intelligence agencies during, and after, the Second World War and throughout much of the Cold War. Donald Maclean, Guy Burgess, Antony Blunt, John Cairncross, Kim Philby and Sir Roger Hollis, are some of the better known names of highly placed Soviet Agents that caused incalculable damage to Great Britain and the Free World.
The Most Destructive Force
It is unlikely that any other Intelligence agency in history has been responsible for as many arrests, tortures, murders, imprisonments, massacres, assassinations, wars, sponsoring and training of foreign terrorist movements, and toppling of governments.
Mass Murder
The Black Book of Communism catalogues over 100 Million deaths between 1917 and 1991 alone, caused by communist governments, most of them controlled by the Soviet Union, or its agents. If one was to add the casualties of the Wars of Liberation, and revolutions sponsored worldwide by the Soviet Union and carried out by its KGB, the body count could double.
The Vision of Daniel
“A Stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces… And the Stone became a great mountain and filled the whole earth… and it shall stand forever.” Daniel 2:28-44 The Lord Jesus Christ declared: “The Stone which the builders rejected has become the chief Cornerstone.” Luke 20:17-18
The Statue and the Stone
In Lubyanka Square, in Moscow, about 900m North East of Red Square, a huge statue of Felix Dzerzhinsky, the founder of the Cheka, which later became the KGB, was erected in 1958. This statue was directly in front of the Lubyanka, the notorious Headquarters of the KGB, wherein many Christians were interrogated, tortured and murdered. In 1991, the statue of Dzerzhinsky was removed and a simple stone from the Solovki Monastery from Solovetski Island, the first prototype Concentration Camp of the Soviet Union, was placed in the square where the statue of Dzerzhinsky had once stood. The symbolism of the Victory of Christ over Communism is striking.

Man-Centred Religion On 21 June 2015, five Cuban intelligence officers arrived in South Africa to a heroes’ welcome. They had served fifteen years in a US prison for conspiracy to commit espionage and murder. They had come, they said, to thank the South African people for having hastened their release, and the South Africans thanked them for having fought for them in Angola. Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero and René Gonzalez were received by the Department of International Relations and Co-operation and spent two weeks touring the historic sites of the ‘liberation struggle.’ Gwede Mantashe (general secretary of the ANC and chairperson of the South African Communist Party) presented them to the nation(s) on SATV2’s programme “New Age Business Briefing,” and Ahmed Kathrada, “an activist in SA’s Communist Party since his youth,” took them to Robben Island.
In praise of Cuba
The “Cuban Five” described Cuba and its rulers, Ché Guevara and Fidel Castro, in glowing colours. But who are these leaders and what role have they played? In 1959 they overthrew the regime of General Fulgencio Batista and established communist rule on the island. - Ché Guevara was an Argentinian doctor, a dedicated marxist, who became Fidel Castro’s second in command. He described himself as “one of those people who believe that the solution to the world’s problems is to be found behind the Iron Curtain.” He became Castro’s executioner, and thousands were executed by him. Guevara also established slave labour camps on the pattern of the Soviet Gulags. 1) – Fidel Castro, the dictator of Cuba, aligned himself with the Soviets. In 1962 he stationed Russian missiles on the island and threatened the West with nuclear war. In the 1980s he sent troops into Angola to aid Soviet imperialist expansion and fought against anti-communist UNITA freedom fighters and South Africa. In one year alone (1987) Russia assigned more than a thousand Soviet advisers to Angola, and delivered $1,5 billion in military hardware. The Cuban army, however, suffered great losses at the 12
hands of the South African Defence Force. Igor Zhdarkin, a Russian Lt.Col., later published a book with the telling title: “We did not see it (such fighting) even in Afghanistan,” and Walter Volker, an East German history professor, wrote: “South Africa’s resistance and success in the field of battle was a direct and significant contributor to the collapse of the Soviet Union in the late 1980s/early 1990s.” The Cubans and Soviets withdrew their troops and advisers, and Castro executed by firing squad his general in charge, the much decorated general Arnaldo Ochoa Sanchez. 2) South Africa and the world were saved from soviet domination!
Liberty
It is amazing that in welcoming the Cuban Five, a great number of South Africans enthusiastically lauded a system and a country which is still officially listed as ”communist” and “repressive,” where everything is controlled by a materialist worldview and a totalitarian government, and from where millions have fled. For South Africa is nearly 80% Christian and as such might be expected to reject communism. The Bible says: “Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty,” (2 Corinthians 3:17) and nations who have experienced this freedom have enjoyed peace, progress and success. South Africa, too, owes her special position in sub-Saharan Africa to the power of Jesus Christ. It is Christians who have known the love of Christ that have succeeded and built benefits such as hospitals, missions, schools, universities etc.

powerful, sets up new rules of right and wrong, and assumes the role of God. What the Bible calls evil, he calls good. Instead of telling others to be holy because God is holy (Leviticus 19:2), he appeals to the sinful desires and elevates sin to a virtue. The Bible says: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight.” (Is.5:20-21)
Normalising Sin
In South Africa, too, this destructive man-centred religion has made great inroads. It can be seen, for instance, in the shameful treatment meted out to Zizipho Pae, a Christian student at the University of Cape Town and vice president of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC). When she learned that, in late June 2015, the American Supreme Court had legalised same-sex marriages in all 50 states of the USA, she wrote: “We are institutionalising and normalising sin. May God have mercy on us.” This “sparked a massive uproar.” Her office was trashed, she was vilified, and the UCT management demanded that she retract and apologise. Giving way to the homosexual activists and their bullying, they then suspended her. What was her crime? It was to honour God and stand for the truth! The Bible says: “God created man in his own image; male and female he created them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill

the earth and subdue it.’” (Genesis 1:27) This creation order is the foundation of human society and necessary to secure ongoing generations. God calls homosexuality “detestable,” “an abomination” (Leviticus 18:22), “very grave” (Genesis 18:20), “ungodly” (2 Peter 2:6), “uncleanness,” “lust,” “dishonourable” (Romans 1:24), “vile affections,” “against nature” (Rom. 1:26), “unseemly,” “error” (Rom. 1:27), “strange flesh,” “fornication” (Jude 7), “abomination,” (Lev. 20:13), “unholy and unclean” (Lev. 10:10), “for by these things the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.” (Lev. 18:24) - God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because they had legalised perversion! - Is Zizipho wrong when he pleads for God’s mercy?
(SALRC) suggests that Christian public holidays cause discrimination toward nonChristians.
Christmas public holidays be retained, as they are in most other civilised countries.”
Page 56 of the SALRC discussion paper, citing the Public Holidays Act, states that… ‘the declaration of the two main Christian holidays as paid public holidays sets about creating a differentiation between those who practise Christianity and those who practise other religious faiths in the country whose faith-based occasions are not included in the holidays. This provision is a violation of section 9(3) of the Constitution and amounts to direct discrimination on the basis of religion and belief. Other religions… are disadvantaged in that their holidays are not declared public holidays and they do not have an automatic benefit of pay on those days.”
This is only one example of how man-centred religion makes sin into a virtue. There are many more. In the once Christian West, the law now allows mothers to kill their children (abortion) and children to kill their parents (euthanasia). It allows children to be molested (lowered age of consent), paedophilia to flourish and prostitution to be condoned. The sacred ties of motherhood, filial devotion and marital love can be lawfully broken by cruel deeds which result in horrible guilt. If it were not for the redeeming love of Christ, how could anyone ever escape? But thankfully, “God shows His love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we are now justified by His Blood, much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God.” (Rom 5:8-9)
The last census showed that nearly 80% of all South Africans self-identify as Christians. 15% have no religion and 5% are Muslin/Hindu/Jewish/African. If the public holidays were abolished, would not the 80% Christians be discriminated against?
Whether from Cuba or elsewhere, we do not need to import ideas and systems which are bankrupt. Our own present philosophies are bad enough. For the same spirit that is inherent in communist systems has entered into the thinking of the nations and is making great strides in the world. The West, including South Africa, is abandoning its Christian foundations and betraying its Saviour and Lord. It is time that we remembered that the Kingdom of Heaven is a pearl of great price, and that we should give our all to attain it. Jesus Christ is the Pearl. Let us not lose Him, lest we be lost. In having Him, we have enough to make us happy here and for ever.
Christmas and Easter
Since 1994 several Christian public holidays were renamed or removed from the national calendar. Ascension Day was removed, and Easter Monday, Boxing Day, and the Day of the Covenant renamed. The 10 other public holidays on the national calendar are all secular.
The same man-centred religion wants to make us forget even God’s great seasons of love. Our most sacred Christian holy days have yet again come under threat. The South African Law Reform Commission (SALRC) is to examine whether Christmas and Good Friday should remain public holidays or become normal working days. Religious arguments, of course, do not count, and so the Gospel Defence League submitted the following: “We are disappointed that the question of Christian public holidays is coming up again and again. Public holidays are public. They are for all the people, no matter what their belief or practice. Everybody benefits from them. Yet the SA Law Reform Commission
Let us reply as follows:
Christmas and Easter are celebrated throughout the world on every continent and in every country. They are the most meaningful religious occasions for Christians and nonChristians alike. In observing them the State is not “unfairly discriminating” against nonChristian religions, because the Public Holidays Act does give non-Christians the right to request paid leave on one of their own holy days, e.g. Ramadan or Diwali.
