About Cameroon Humid and tropical in the South and dry in the north,the dry season runs from November to febuary ,light rainy season from August to the end of september . Average temperature:26째c Northern cameroon:the rainy season goes from may to the end of september with at least one meter of rain water per year Average temperature :30째c


Art and Culture 

As a real cross road of African arts and culture, cameroon has more than 200 ethnic groups that contribute to the wealth of the country’s artistic and cultural heritage.pygmmies,bantu,sudanese,Arab-berbers and several other create this extraordinary melting pot .Each ethnic group brings it tradition,eg Ngondo,a cultural ritual from the coastal people, ’Buma’ a dance typical to the pygmies from the equitorial jungle

In the west and the north,memorial are an excuse to organise large and colourful celebrations to honour the deceased


Fauna and Flora Fauna The savanahs of the north of cameroon are the favourite location for a large number of animals amongst which you can fine the largest and the most diverse collection of animals in Africa with 6 national parks,the north is a providential land to discover the African fauna Flora All types of trees and shrubs grow in cameroon.from the luxurious jungle in the south,passing through the center that has high-grass savanahs and scatterd trees,to the north which has an arid flora.cameroon is an open book for African flora.Flora lovers have more than enough options for natural discoveries


Leisure and weekends With 400 km of coast, cameroon is a previleged location for beach and water sport activities .with a mild climate through out the year and fine –sand beaches colourful bays and the grandeur of the ocean ,all contribute to a memorable journey.  In the South western coast,there lies the gigantic mt cameroon offering and amazing hiking experience,with a magnificient golf club..  The north is blessed with daunting game parks,while west and north west regions, host the best Africa art designs you will fine in the country and very famous for it numerous water falls 

Comment ca marche !!!! A total of 20 interns from at least 7 nationalities are expected for the project . Arrival: 25/06 - 01/07/2012 ď‚—

Upon arrival ,the intern will be picked up by a dynamic reception team put in place by AIESEC in Douala.they will have as responsibilty to drive the intern home ,intergration etc. The project starts ,4th July with a brief reception at the delegation of tourism and a presentation of the history of cameroons tourism


Phase 1 le Grand Nord 04/07/2011 The

north of cameroon host 6 national parks and famous for safari tours , Waza park is the most famous and the biggest game park in central and west Africa It host animals like ;lion, elephants, giraffe, cob, hartebeest, cheetah etc

1st Quarter report  Once

in Douala, interns will have 3 days to prepare the report of the first part of the tour ’Discovering cameroon

 Get

access to internet ,communicate with love ones,  Some interns will be promoting pictures video in social networks,  Others ,setting up blogs and websites  Animating

some shows on air in local radio and TV station


Phase 2, land of the Bamilékés Board a bus for Bafousssam, on the way we shall drop in Kékem for a delicious meal, visit the famous cocoa and coffee farms in the Hills of Kékem





land of the Bamilékés Board a bus to Bandjoun, where you will see traditional houses with pointed roof.  Take a taxi from the bus park to the bandjoun fundom (kings palace)which is one of the biggest in the western province  Board a bus to Foumban where you will pass through the river noun and Foumbot where you will see many gardens of tomatoes, maize and other vegetables. 

It is dominantly islamic and ruled by a sultan  Visit to the palace and muséums ,listen to the history of the 18 kings of the bamoum dynasty Visit the Foumban colourful market and buy some fabrics and some souvenirs

Phase 3, Day 1 Board a bus to pongo songo (Gorilla Island) Oohh!! She’s abandoned me 4 someone else


DAY 1  

Depparture to Edea and vist to the forest concessions at « Reef Haut » during the walk in the forest you may see some wild beast . spend the night at sanaga Hotel.

Day 2 Campo 

Board a bus to campo near the boarder of equitorial Guinea

on the way we shall stop for a short visit in the palm oil and rubber plantation while the local cook prapares us a delicious meal at the community house in the campo beach.

Arival at campo ,visit the campo national park.this park could only be visited on foot with a certified tourist guide since is a very dense forest with wild life species. visit the pygmies people and watch thier local dances. ste in a bar take a beer and spend the night in a local inn

 


Day 3 Campo-Kribi  Break

fast in the campo guesthouse and departure to Kribi.on the way make a stop in Ebodje,a small beautiful village situated along the nice white beach of the atlantic ocean, walk in the village to see

 the

daily lives of the villagers

 Arrival

in Kribi late in the afternoon,move to verious host families,take a shower , relax…….

 7pm,walk

to the famous « carrefour kingué » for a beer and delicious « poisson braisé »


Day 4 Lobe  you

will have a 2 hours ride in a conoe into the jungle along river lobe while enjoying the calm and peace of the river, watch small animals playing on branches while your conoe man paddles around .

 return

to the lobe fall where river lobe empties itself to the sea.

a delicious fresh shrimps and prawns

some fresh coconut



Day 5 Kribi-Yaoundé 

Board a bus to Yaoundé.

Reception Move

to Hotel

Walk

around the city of Yaoundé

Visit

public and historic monuments.
