diagrams
colour
the are diagrams simple but rather playful, but sterile enough that they remain informative enough you see it as something you would use as a reference guide.
flourscent was used to make the book stand out, espesially on it’s spine. I used it on all the right pages so it’s on the diagrams to bring your attention to them. orange was used because it’s gender neutral and doesn’t imply anything.

binding
stock
as with the likes of subway and trinity kitchen, you would queue after reading the menu to order the items/ or take a prepackaged meal you would like, for either eating in or for takeout.
plain white mountboard was used for the stock of the publication to ensure it’s longetivity, due to it been a reference guide it’s intended to last a long time to be used.

packaging
colours
binding
originally the book was going to be packaged in a slip-case but this never ended up happening due to the book been strong enough on it’s own it didn’t really need it in the end.
i’d intended to print the book in flourscent orange but the red was simply to pink, concerned with it looking as if it’s targeted at girls i changed to orange last minute which i thought was alot more neutral.
tied in with the packaging, the binding was going to be case bound, without the cover. No cover because I really liked it without, however I’d have to produce alot of pages to be able to fit the amount i was after so i perfect bound

layout
layout
type
I kept a consistent layout throughout the book, leaving a gap on the left side for notes relating to the book it’s self and the topic. Using the top left for the page icons. The right page was keep to the same size as the body copy and title.
edmondsans became my font of choice throughout the book, it’s clean, modern and worked well as body copy and for titles so i used it throughout due how well it worked for both applications.
