Ask Laur! You ask, Lauren answers!
Laur is an anonymous doll with photography and fashion know how. If you have a question, email it at agdollawesome@gmail.c om, with the subject as "laur"
Dear laur, I'm looking for a blond haired doll that is easy to take care of. Do you have any suggestions? -GABI Hi Gabi! I love all the blond haired dolls, but some of them have difficult hair to car for. If you're looking for a historical doll, Kit would be a great choice, because of h short hair that is straight. However, you can't put her hair in too many styles. If yo want a doll that CAN have hairstyles, I suggest #63, #53, or #56. .

#53, #56, #63 dear Laur, I'm wondering how I can make my doll's personality unique. I want her to be girly, and I'm not sure what other features could be original? -ELLA
Dear Ella, your doll can be unique in a number of ways! Do you like any personality traits from books? Maybe she wears braces, or likes to study the stars! Maybe she wears her highlights all the time! Do you like a certain music artist, she can like it too! You could also base her off yourself, a TV character, or a person you admire, whatever it is, ever doll is unique!

We used faux fur for the sheets and end blanket, and southwestern style floral for the duvets and pillow. We added accents with a rose pillow, checkered print, and a pillow wrapped in water colored triangular print!

Interview With Melody Ellison AGG: Hello Melody! We're glad to see you! What's the best thing about living in the 1960's? ME: It's great to be here! I really love the vibes of the music here. I think motown has a unique sound, and I'm working on my own song too! AGG: Great! Since you love music, do you play any instruments? ME: I play the violin, clarinet, and guitar. I also love to play the piano! AGG: Cool! Whats the biggest problem in the 60's? ME:The main problem is definitely civil rights. Just because you have different skin colors, it doesn't mean you should be treated differently. AGG: Agreed. What are you going to do to change it? I believe that even a little dent can make a difference, So I sing for change, and raise money to brighten up our neighborhood! AGG: Awesome! Who is your role model? I think that the bravest people are my mother and Martin Luther King Jr. AGG: That is a great answer. Thank you Melody, we loved having tou Here! ME:Thank you, I was great to be here!

Mini, Mini, Mini! (dolls) We all love and cherish our dolls here. So what is the need for a twenty dollar mini doll? In this article, we'll dig deeper into the uses, and play value of mini dolls. For every GOTY or Beforever doll, there is a matching mini doll. These $20.00 retail value, 6.5", and stunning mini dolls, look exactly like the real doll. Right down to the mini clothing pieces, the mini hairdo, mini shoes, even the mini bloomers! The only different thing is that their eyes are painted on, and their face molds are the same. The fabric on their dresses are abridged, and they come with a mini abridged book! The book is not sized for mini dolls, but it is perfect for the 18" dolls! They are hardcover, and look GREAT on your doll's bookshelf. But one might ask the question: What are they used for!? We interviewed Madison from Delightful World Of Dolls to hear what she knows! AGG: How do you come up with names for your mini dolls? DWOD: I give them names inspired by the 18” dolls who “own” them, like Jocelyn is inspired from Jasmine, Celina from Cécile, Jessa from Josefina, and so on. :D AGG: What are your favorite features and uses of mini dolls? DWOD: I love how tiny they are! If you’re traveling and still want to make dollrelated blog posts but don’t have enough room to take a big doll with you, you can simply bring a mini doll along. Their hair is also easy to care for, though it is definitely different from the 18” AG dolls (if you don’t have a Pleasant Company one). They are pretty easy to stop motion with, too. I also love how they can act as an American Girl doll for your actual 18” American Girl dolls! ;)
Be sure to check out Madison's AWESOME blog: delightfulworldofdolls.com Give her a follow, a comment, and a like for Melody Ellison Mini doll great posts about her dolls Image credit: American and mini dolls! Girl AGG:How do you come up with the Mini Doll Monday post content? Do you do the same as you do with your real dolls? DWOD: It’s actually almost easier to come up with Mini Doll Monday post content than it is with my 18" dolls! Because they’re so small, it’s very easy to take my minis anywhere and make a cute photo story. Also, since they’re easy to craft for, most DIYs are simple to put together as well. And whenever I get inspiration, I jot it down so I always have ideas banking up for each Mini Doll Monday, just like I do with my 18" dolls and their posts. :D AGG: How many mini dolls do you have? Are there any on your wishlist? DWOD: Currently, I have five mini dolls (all preBeForever) MollyAnne (Mini Molly), Jocelyn (Mini Saige), Celina (Mini Cécile), Jessa (Mini Josefina), and Emma (Mini Emily). On my wishlist I want (all pre BeForever) Mini Elizabeth and Mini Kaya (probably off of eBay) they’re so cute! AGG: Have you ever come up with any cool DIY's for your mini dolls? Do you have pics of them to share? DWOD: All the time! They are incredibly fun to craft for. I actually have a whole category devoted to Mini Doll Crafts on my blog! :D And yes, here are some photos of my favorite mini doll DIYs:
A very overworded old picture of how to make mini doll shoes, also from the Mini Doll Mag. ;)
This was the second craft I ever made for my mini dolls, and it was when I was nine years old! MollyAnne shows you how to make a mini doll chair out of an empty toilet paper roll.
This is a picture from my discontinued Mini Doll Mag, a magazine by mini dolls and for mini dolls. I make this craft the most!
This mini doll craft is super simple and can expand your mini doll’s wardrobe dramatically!
AGG: thank you so much Madison for informing our readers all about mini dolls! DWOD: Thank you SO much for interviewing me! It was super fun and I really enjoyed it! :D
To conclude this article, we'd like to tell you that the AG Gazette has had our fair share of fun with mini dolls! We used to have mimi Cecile, Mini Samantha, mini Rebecca, and mini Felicity! We would wash, shampoo, and condition their hair. They were the first dolls we had. You can also have a chance to get featured in this magazine, if you share a picture of your mini doll family by emailing us at agdollawesome@gmail.com. Since we get a lot of mail, in the subject, please put: "mini doll fam" (without quotation marks.)
