12. $ustainability $ustainability Working Group At the National Meeting of REMS Members, held in May 2019, it was decided that the network would have a WG focused on discussing and carrying out actions focused on the topic of sustainability. Initially, based on the discussions held at the National Meeting, the group thought about organizing an auction or a raffle. However, deepening the debate, it was concluded that the best (most profitable) would be to develop a presentation to be sent to possible financiers. This presentation was finalized by the WG and awaits the evaluation of the Executive Secretary and the Council of Representatives. The organizations that participate in this WG are: Instituto Compartilhar, Clube de Regatas Curitiba and Azo (in addition to the Instituto Família Barrichello, organization responsible for REMS Executive Secretary).
Donations from Members Also at the National Meeting, REMS started a campaign for members themselves to make donations to the network, within their means. The members who collaborated in 2019 were: Vida Corrida Project (Neide Santos), Passe de Mágica Institute (Ismar Barbosa), Sesc São Paulo (Eduardo Uhle) and Azo (Odara Mendez). The total amount collected was R$ 1,550.00.

Meeting on “Project Development and Fundraising” REMS was hired by Sesc to provide consultancy in the city of Registro, Vale do Ribeira SP, benefiting 11 cities and 40 sports professionals. The theme that motivated the leaders was “Project Development and Fundraising”. The meeting was organized by the Technical Sports Chamber that meets at the Vale do Ribeira Development Consortium (CODIVAR) and supported by Sesc Registro. William Boudakian, Executive Director of the Instituto Família Barrichello, organization responsible for REMS Executive Secretary and the consultant Marinela Burgos led the work to strengthen the network of professionals that was formed during the Execution of the F5 Project, carried out by the Instituto Passe de Mágica, which focused on strengthening public sports policies. The bond created by professionals and leaders remains firm and the idea is to support municipalities to improve the writing of Projects and share Fundraising strategies so that they can gain autonomy in this area. Vale do Ribeira is a very extensive region and has the largest Atlantic Forest reserve in the State of SP. It also has low levels of human development and sport has been a lever for transformation.
