Promote: Ensure all staff are aware of existing policies that benefit people with disabilities and carers. Review: Check your policies and procedures to ensure they will enable you to respond to employees with dementia, and carers, effectively, fairly and legally. Proof: When introducing or reviewing systems or processes think about whether these could potentially disadvantage a worker who has dementia, for example electronic pay slips. Support: Be proactive in encouraging healthy working lives that reduce the risk of dementia. Support discussion of and information about dementia and carers in the workplace.
