1. Support Small Business sticker
If you’re someone who likes to explore the different tools inside Instagram Stories, like Polls, Gifs and Quizzes, you may well have noticed a new one: the ‘Support Small Business’ sticker.
Add this sticker to your Story and you’ll be prompted to tag a small business’s Instagram handle (and yes, you can tag yourself).
Then, once you share your Story, it’ll appear on a specific shared Story feed with others who are using the Support Small Business sticker, giving it a chance of being seen by hundreds
Use the Support Small Business sticker to be seen more people!
Tip: Use this sticker to show your support for small businesses you love… they might just return the favour!
2. Instagram new “Shop” feature
Different to Instagram’s ‘shoppable product tags’, which allow you to tag your products in your posts, which link back to your website, the new ‘Shop’ feature allows your audience to browse your products inside Instagram, just like a mini store-front.
Another exciting part of Instagram Shops is the ability for brands to link their Instagram Stories to their product pages on Instagram, creating a more seamless customer experience.
Previously, only Instagram accounts with more than 10,000 followers unlocked this coveted ‘swipe up’ feature.
Tip: Add multiple images to your Instagram Shop product listings to help show them off in different ways!
3. Sharing Instagram Lives to IGTV
Different to Instagram’s ‘shoppable product tags’, which allow you to tag your products in your posts, which link back to your website, the new ‘Shop’ feature allows your audience to browse your products inside Instagram, just like a mini store-front.
Now, working up the courage to do an Instagram Live has double the incentive! Along with the intimacy that comes from engaging with your audience through Live video, you can now share your Instagram Lives direct to your IGTV once you’ve finished them, allowing your audience to rewatch your Lives, for days (and months!) to come.
So start a regular Instagram Live schedule to share new products in store, showcase top sellers or interview a supplier, and build your IGTV channel at the same time.
Tip: Select the ‘Share preview to feed’ option to share a 30 second snippet of your IGTV view to your Instagram feed, helping more of your audience discover it.
