Sydney Gift Fair 2022 Highlights
After two years, the Australian Gift & Homewares Association (AGHA) finally opened doors again in February to the Sydney Gift Fair at Sydney Olympic Park.
Whilst everyone expected a smaller show due to the most recent outbreak of Covid-19, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive about the quality of buyers that came through the doors with many exhibitors also confirming that approximately 70% of buyers were new businesses.
The general vibe at the Sydney Gift Fair was incredible with retailers excited to be back seeing and touching product and meeting with suppliers and exhibitors put a huge effort into the look and feel of their stands. It really was a show to remember, here are the highlights…
OPENING CEREMONY
What a privilege it was to have the Member for Parramatta and Minister of Corrections, The Hon. Dr Geoff Lee officially open the Sydney Gift Fair on Friday 18th February alongside AGHA CEO, Wayne Castle, AGHA President, Michelle Lawson and Sydney Showground General Manager, Darryl Jeffreys.
THE TODAY SHOW WEATHER SEGMENT
Channel 9’s Weekend Today, with weather presenter Dan Anstey, crossed live to Sydney Gift Fair at Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday 19th February to chat with some of the incredible AGHA exhibitors as they showcased their stands and demonstrated their products.

Our artisan’s stole the show with their exclusive handmade products and beautiful personalities. The Artisan Lane was a walk of wonder with a debut of artists, jewellers, weavers, clay artists, calligraphists and more.
THE LAUNCH PAD
A pavilion of up-and-coming business owners was the hub of new and exciting products.
