we discussed architectural drawing systems such as - multiview drawings - orthographic projections - plans & sections & elevations

we analyzed and compared the four projection systems: - multiview projections - axonometric projections - oblique projections and - perspective

to hone our drawing skills we made drawings of an actual building in the city we live in / i chose the beach chalet, an ocean-front restaurant built in spanish revival style on the edge of golden gate park, san francisco

we explored the idea of a tiny house and analyzed the opportunities and challenges of such structures

pros - inexpensive to build and maintain - mobile set-up / flexible location - self-sustained operation - cozy living experience

the first sketches were based on a 20’ x 8’ layout and had a loft-bed area above the bathroom to have a better understanding of the scale and features of our design, we taped out the floor plans in real size floor plan / first floor

evolution of design in the course of the building process the house went through several design iterations in search of optimal solutions to utilize space while maintaining maximum comfort level
