Find a good bucket for milk. Something your cow likes. Avoid red colors.

Get a sturdy short stool. Sit on the same side of your cow every time. Cows like routine.

Wash your cow’s udder with soap and warm water. Apply Vaseline. Be gentle. Don’t make your cow mad.

You and your cow are now ready. Wrap your hands around two of four teats. Again, be gentle this is not a faucet.

Squeeze the base of the teat then down to push out the milk. Repeat until it looks deflated. Note, every teat will release whole milk. Cows do not produce skim or 2% milk.

South Beach has been ranked as one of the top five most beautiful beaches in the world.
W
e are finishing our Thanksgiving meal, the best by far I’ve ever had. Juicy, crab-stuffed turkey medallions, bathed in a tropical sweet pineapple sauce, served with spicy steamy weather, organic sun rays, locally grown palm trees, beach with white sugary powder-like sand and, a side of the thirsty blue ocean, all in South Beach, FL. As soon as we stepped out of the airport, a warm and welcoming breeze shook our hands hello. What a pleasant surprise after the cold and windy DC weather earlier this morning. Although a bit tired from two-hour flight, we are eager to put our jackets away and hit South Beach. It is the most beautiful, diverse and welcoming beach in the United States. There is nowhere else you will see a famous bikini model and a homeless person lounging on the beach next to each other.

Or a group of backpackers listening Reggae music from a a boom box while watching a photo-shoot for a sports calendar. All it takes is one look at the hypnotic state of the ocean, insolent seagulls trying to steal food from the beach crowd, blinding white sand and of course, the generous and warming sun.

The above coombination makes me forget the cold and bleak November back in DC. This is an experience I won’t forget or can compare to our usual Thanksgiving break. I think it’s time for a Piña Colada and a dip in the ocean.
B
esides the picture perfect beach, one of the places I always go to is the Lincoln Road. While all the tourists rush to Collins Avenue or Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road is one of the places where locals like to hang out. I’ve also noticed that it is quiet different from any other time of the year. I love it here during this time of year. I am not tripping over tourists and I really enjoy the true culture and spirituality this place has to offer during an ordinary holiday time making this an extraordinary experience. Streets are less busy, crowds are more diverse. The aroma in the air is stronger and so much more tempting. Lincoln road is the best place to enjoy

Of course, I am eager to see the usual suspects: Mr. Clucky (a pet rooster) and his owner taking a bike ride, a unicyclist in a skin colored tight lycra suit, the patriotic duo (a Chihuahua and its owner dressed up in red white and blue from head to toe or from head to paw), and the three Great Danes owner, who is barely noticeable behind his dogs due to his height. Infact, I am never sure who is taking whom for a walk. South Beach is packed with its hidden gems and unique experiences. Every time I am here, I always discover a new one. This time around, it’s the best turkey medallions stuffed with crab meat and bathed in a pineapple sauce.

though this is a tourist attraction, I have never experienced anything so outlandish. Latin pop music 24/7 and leopard dressed bartenders take turns dancing on the bar. This place always has something new to offer. Delano on 18th and Collins. The very first step I take into that extraordinary hotel and lounge, I always fell like I am walking into paradise. Everything in here is white and sleek. The white sushi bar, the 18 foot tall sheer white curtains, white arm chairs, white furry blankets on the furniture, the white french double doors leading to the pool area. The Fox Cafe on 5th and Ocean. It is the best live guitar music I’ve ever heard. Add a few tasty strawberry mojitos, a dancing girl dressed in white to accompany the music and my evening is complete.

Pasha’s on Lincoln Road. I never skip this restaurant because of the best freshly squeezed tangerine juice and a spicy salmon paella wrap. It is a tradition of mine for an early lunch after a much anticipated flight.

Helpful Tips For Travelling With Your Dog to Paris
Chi and I are planning our second trip to Paris. The city full of history, art and fashion. The city where jeans, baseball hats and snickers are not much welcome. To get the most out of Paris and truly enjoy your trip, I suggest trying to blend in with locals as much as possible. The less obvious you look like a tourist—the better. Trust me on that. -´ZI FIIR XS 4EVMW ½ZI XMQIW including last year when I took my dog Chi along. I was pleasantly surprised of the outcome. It was the best trip I’ve had. Parisians love, admire and spoil their four-legged friends as much as they can. You will see cute small furry faces peeking out from designer purses in bistros and cafes, or trotting along the Louvre and of course, in all the best shops! I personally have witnessed dogs riding on bicycles and scooters along with their owners. Another interesting aspect is that people were much friendlier and eager to talk, when I had my Chi with me. While taking your dog may sound like a fun and easy thing to do, there are several things you need to know before you commit to such a decision.
When I decide I am going on a trip with my dog, I immediately start planning on the preparations for the trip. This helps make our trip go as smoothly as possible. Here are some ideas, no matter if you are going on a vacation, visiting your family or just getting away for a long weekend. First, you need to check MJ ]SYV ½REP HIWMKREXMSR MW pet friendly. In my situation I have researched about Paris beforehand to make sure my dog will enjoy the trip. You need to consider everything your dog will need for the entire trip. Leash Your Pup
Keep an ID on your pet at all times. Your pet’s tags should include your address, phone number, and perhaps even the local phone number you’re using, just in case the two of you get separated. Keep a recent photo of your dog on you also.
You’ll see that most places require this anyway, but it’s always a good idea even if they don’t. It’s the best way to prevent confrontation between your pet and another’s. It’s also a way to ensure that your dog doesn’t run away.

Food Now let’s talk about the food—a very important subject, as you and your pooch have to eat. While your dog may not see or taste any difference between American and French dog food, you on the other hand, must try as many authentic dishes as you can. I know for a fact that a lot of people don’t go to Paris for the sightseeing, they go to Paris for its cuisine. Most of the bistros and cafes allow dogs, however sometimes you may get an owner who will yell something
at you in French, basically telling you to get out. Don’t take it personally. He or she may just have a bad day. A great place to check out is Café des Deux Moulins on Rue Lepic in Montmarte. The views are to die for and their baked goodies are out of this world!
Sightseeing Now that everyone has WEXMW½IH XLIMV ETTIXMXI [I can talk about places to see. First, since you can’t get anywhere without public transportation, I am pleased
to announce that all types of public transportation allow small dogs on board and you don’t even need to get them a separate riding pass. Dogs ride free. It is required by law to have your dog on a leash while you throttling the streets of Paris, but don’t be surprised to see a lot of dogs unleashed. Check the following attractions becides the usual tourist places, Park Montsouris, Luxembourg Gardens, Parc Bercy, Bois de Vincennes Versailles Park . You won’t regret the experience and your dog will be so happy, it will bark in French all the way home. Bon Voyage!

You walk into the room and immediately, wham! This unique aroma tackles you in your stomach. Pound of home-cured chopped bacon, two large onions fresh picked from my grandma’s garden and a quart of homemade sour cream, all sautéed tigether and poured over cepelinai. This is not your typical low fat meal, but oh it’s worth every single calorie. Sandwiched between Poland and Latvia, Lithuania, is a well known for its creative approach of cooking potatoes. Lithuanians either stuff everything with potatoes or they stuff potatoes with everything, pour lots of fried sour-cream, bacon and onion mixture over it, and there is a dish to die for.
Cepelinai, Lithuania’s national dish, derives its name from the German airship Zeppelin and combines potatoes, bacon, onions and sour cream with spectacular results.
Since I was born and raised in Lithuania, I can count at least twenty dishes my grandma made with potatoes. Our main, and may be even known to some of you, national dish, called cepelinai is made out of grated potatoes and ground meat, and is formed similar to dumplings. Sounds simple?

Well…that’s what my boyfriend thought last weekend when I told him I would like to make it. He still swears that he found some ground potatoes in our guest bedroom two days later. The recipe involves many steps during the preparation and it is very labor intensive. Peeling, grating, boiling, mashing, squeezing, chopping, frying, grinding, then stuffing and boiling again. It’s a must have during major holidays. I’ve tried this dish in many places, but nothing comes close to my grandma’s cepelinai.

Adam, Eve and the Orange Eve gazed at the beautiful orange fruit and thought how vibrant and tasty it looked. She thought how wonderful it would be to pick an orange from the tree and take it home to Adam, but first she was anxious to try it herself. Eve stretched high to pick the largest orange and hurriedly tore it apart. It was fragrant, juicy and sweet. She rushed to pick some more fruit and took it back to Adam. They quickly ate all the fruit in silence, they wanted some more.

Alexander Rodchenko 1891-1956
Beginnings
Rodchenko was a Russian artist, sculptor, photographer and graphic designer. He was one of the founders of constructivism and Russian design. Rodchenko was one of the most versatile Constructivist and Productivist artists to emerge after the Russian Revolution. He worked as a painter and graphic designer before turning to photomontage and photography. His photography was socially engaged, formally innovative, and opposed to a painterly aesthetic. Concerned with the need for analytical-documentary photo series, he often shot his subjects from odd angles—usually high above or below—to shock the viewer and to postpone recognition. He wrote: “One has to take several different shots of a subject, from different points of view and in different situations, as if one examined it in the round rather than looked through the same key-hole again and again.”
Constructivism was an artistic and architectural philosophy that originated in Russia beginning in 1919, which was a rejection of the idea of autonomous art. The movement was in favour of art as a practice for social purposes. Constructivism had a great effect on modern art movements of the 20th century, influencing major trends such as Bauhaus and the De Stijl movement. Its influence was pervasive, with major impacts upon architecture, graphic and industrial design, theatre, film, dance, fashion and to some extent music.
Rodchenko was born in St. Petersburg to a working class family. His family moved to Kazan in 1909, after the death of his father, at which point he studied at the Kazan School of Art under Nikolai Feshin and Georgii Medvedev, and at the Stroganov Institute in Moscow. In 1921 he became a member of the Productivist group, which advocated the incorporation of art into everyday life. He gave up painting in order to concentrate on graphic design for posters, books, and films. He was deeply influenced by the ideas and practice of the filmmaker Dziga Vertov, with whom he worked intensively in 1922. Impressed by the photomontage of the German Dadaists, Rodchenko began his own experiments in the medium, first employing found images in 1923, and from 1924 on shooting his own photographs as well. His first published photomontage illustrated Mayakovsky’s poem, “About This,” in 1923. From 1923 to 1928 Rodchenko collaborated closely with Mayakovsky (of whom he took several striking portraits) on the design and layout of LEF and Novy LEF, the publications of Constructivist artists. Many of his photographs appeared in or were used as covers for these journals. His images eliminated unnecessary detail, emphasized dynamic diagonal composition, and were concerned with the placement and movement of objects in space. Read more >>
The term Construction Art was first used as a derisive term by Kazimir Malevich to describe the work of Alexander Rodchenko in 1917. Constructivism first appears as a positive term in Naum Gabo's Realistic Manifesto of 1920. Alexei Gan used the word as the title of his book Constructivism, which was printed in 1922. Constructivism was a post-World War I development of Russian Futurism. The constructivists tried to create works that would make the viewer an active viewer of the artwork. As much as involving itself in designs for industry, the Constructivists worked on public festivals and street designs for the Bolshevik government.

Luigi Bezzera was an owner of a manufacturing business, but not very successful. In his spare time he enjoyed sharing a cup of good coffee with his family and friends. He carried a passion to enhance the flavor of the coffee and to speed up the preparation process. After couple of sleepless nights in 1903, the very first espresso machine was born. Luigi was not successful in marketing the machine and sold the rights to his espresso machine patent in 1905 to Desidero Pavoni.
