VSi’s Fall Flat Vending Roster Boasts Rising Trends And Skelanimals V
ending Supply inc. has announced its fall flat vend merchandise schedule with new in-house creations, extensions of established series and fashionable licensed characters. The Skelanimals sticker series effectively blends charming animal creatures with gothic themes and personas. It is the first such Skelanimals product designed for flat vending. Created by artist Mitchell Bernal, the franchise has broad appeal among teen and adult women, and offers some male crossover. The darkly charismatic pets have surged in popularity, expanding into apparel, vinyl toys, plush, jewelry and perfume. VSi’s Ian Cooper stated, “Not only do we
believe they can stand on their own as a vending product, they’ll soon have an impact in the retail industry.” While the release has been timed for the Halloween season, Skelanimals’ wide acceptance allows for yearround vending opportunities. Sweet Shop Tattoos and Tattoo Mania are two original series directed toward younger children. They feature vividly colorful depictions of cupcakes, pies, cookies and other confections. “Retailers are asking for candythemed products,” Cooper noted. “It’s an emerging trend that is becoming a must–have for young girls everywhere.” Tattoo Mania stresses diversity with striking images designed for eclectic tastes. The
stylish color artwork features a genre assortment ranging from sharks and pirates to muscle cars and winged musical instruments. Ultra Tattoo Classics and Classic Girl Tattoos are two of the company’s bestselling series. It’s augmenting each with 10 new designs. Classic Girl Tattoos #6 broadens the line’s mix with rich colorful themes including fairies, blue songbirds and starstudded rainbows rendered in the same technique as previous entries. Ultra Tattoo Classics #11 extends the category with alluring graphics for both sexes. The lively illustrations include a flaming skull, sharks, roses and butterflies. “Ultra Tattoo Classics has historically been the top-selling series in the industry,” observed VSi’s Heather Nathanson. “It’s a classic mix that has a proven track record of universal appeal.” All series feature 10 sheets of tattoos with three different designs per vend. Their size makes them perfectly suited for their target audiences. Vending Supply inc. is based at 3761 E. Technical Dr., Tucson, AZ 85713 and maintains a website at vsiart.com. KEEPING UP APPEARANCES: New from Daimer Industries is a gum-removal kit that can be used with the company’s KleenJet vapor steam cleaners. A cleaner using the kit can reportedly remove up to 500 pieces of gum per hour. It uses a “steam vac” squeegee with stainless steel brush and bottle of specially formulated gum-dissolving concentrate, which are effective on hard surfaces, including sidewalks, parking lots, pavers, walkways and some indoor floors. “It’s a problem that’s been around and there is now increasing awareness of how to fix it,” said Matthew Baratta, Daimer’s marketing manager. “The 1000CV is light weight and portable and can easily remove gum from hard surfaces, saving company time and keeping up appearances.” Visit daimer.com.
