Detailed Plan Entrance
Campus entrance Campus entrance not merely an entrance that is concerned with the aesthetic but also it speaks about the image of Tunghai university. The combination of white lily and blue iris is the representation of flag of THU while 3 holes at the long wall represents the 3 motto that THU stands fortruth, deed and faith. Royal poinciana provides the memorable Luce chapel experience for everyone and the tall grass at the road divider is the memory of how it once used to be in THU.
Corner plaza The community park at the campus is situated as a corner plaza for the campus. one of the main attraction of corner plaza is the iconic elevated walk where the connection between the elevated walk from the MRT line is covered using the roof structure that inspires anyone to think of Luce chapel of tunghai university. Since the corner plaza is very close to the Taiwan Boulevard and the future MRT line it is importent that one should feel they are away from the hustle and buzzle of the urban atmoshere at the same time one can experience urban experience of cars moving and the trains running when they stroll over the elevated walkway. The community park will provide an extra opportunity for the university to spread thier idology through several worshops offered to the people of the nearby tunghai community.

Opportunity
Yangmingshan National Park is one of the nine national parks in Taiwan, located between Taipei and New Taipei City. The districts that house parts of the park grounds include Taipei’s Beitou and Shilin Districts; and New Taipei’s Wanli, Jinshan and Sanzhi Districts
Opportunity 1: the existing site provides hot spring facility, if we look in the context the site is close to a volcano thus naturally there are many other hotel business who offers similar experiences at the region, it’s big time to shift the business opportunity to something that can go well with the existing facilities.
Opportunity 3: bayan community no longer entertain the tourist, there are many reasons what lead to that decision, our site at the yayan community have a lot of similarities to bayan, it’s really important that we need to address the issues of bayan and to provide a solution through the design.
Opportunity 2: Soundscape , site located at the borders of yang ming shan national park and the national park is rich in flora which in turn creates the habitat for many birds and insects, which can be a useful source for the soundscape, also yang ming shan region receives 200 days of rain in an average which again provides the music for ears.
DESIGN CONCEPT
YANGMINGSHAN MOUNTAIN
The design concept is based on 1. Cultural Tourism 2. Soundscape Concept of design comes from the opportunities that is present at the site, in order to survive the years to come it is really important how wisely we can use the cultural facts that is present at the site. In an environmental context, the soundscape helps us to understand acoustic ecology of a place. The more resilient an environment is,the greater its ability to weather a significant disturbance without irreparable harm and change.
MASTER PLAN
Design concept

Site Mirador
DESIGN CONCEPT
A completely brand-new experience and reinterpretation of historical legacy are launched for people to glimpse a period of 450 years of life-and-military history through the powerful Lost-and-Found series of walking experience that intertwined the cultural and natural landscapes of Zavial in Portugal. Site Mirador’s geography and its splendid and adventurous history present an unique opportunity for people to experience the power of nature within the context of cultural atmosphere.

MASTER PLAN
LOST AND FOUND
Narrative 1. Entrance
2. Overall site view
1. First “Lost & Found” To enhance the feeling of lost, we have played with the topography at the [Entrance] by excavating the site in front of the wall. The lower ground and the added ruin-like stone wall hide the Zavial Fortress and Battery, making them completely invisible at the entrance, which in turn intensify people’s curiosity and anticipation toward exploring the ruin. The elevation difference, created by the wall, successfully defines the space and strengthens the importance of heritage ground. On the observation deck, the open horizon of sea level suddenly appears, and the Fortress and the Battery are found loomingly in the vista.
3. Getting down to the underground
4. From the battery
2. Second “Lost & Found” In order to preserve the remarkable ocean scenery and to retain the authenticity of the ruin landscape, we decide to leave the landscape untouched as much as possible and design underground structure. To enhance the feeling of lost, the lighting of staircase leading to the Fortress is dimmed, thus people would naturally be drawn forward by the leaking light from the roofless Fortress. In the found experience, we decide to leave the roof completely open and extend four walls of ruin fortress downward to reinterpret the relatively confined spatial experience of fortress which solider went through during the war time.
5. Battery to information space corridor
6. Information space
3. Third “Lost & Found” In order to feature the military culture, the spatial experience of underground military facilities are created. The lost image is achieved when people walk in the underground tunnel from the Fortress to the [information space]. When people turn right at the end of tunnel, people find illuminated ruin which lights up by the natural sun light, penetrating down from the rectangular ceiling opening in the center of [Information space].
7. Mirador Corridor
8. Iconic Mirador
4. Fourth “Lost & Found” When people circle around the information space, they would see a light at the end of tunnel waving to them. People feel lost again when they try to approach that light in the dark long military tunnel that strengthens the contrast of last lost-and-found experience. In the found experience, people carefully walk and stand on [Mirador deck] above the choppy sea, an unprecedented ocean experience, feel the wind and sea water blowing across the body, and listen to the sound of waves hitting against the reef in contemplation.
