01 In & Between the Ridge [Team Work] Topic: Redevelop of third Landscape Project Location: Genova, Italy Date: 05/2021
Cities are forming faster than the vocabulary to describe the causes and effects of horizontal urbanization. The city today increases of horizontal surface area, a phenomenon following which appears the waste as a leftover in the core city. Vertically, the natural and urban limits set a different law. Natural tissues, unreachable and detached from the centralized structures create boundries to the humanmade landscapes. The in-between describes an interface where landscapes remain at the margins, awaiting for a social value and renewed status. We focused on the concept of third landscape, use it as a guideline to redevelop the abandoned industry area: ex-quarry camadoli, which is located between the natural and urban area. The design hypothesis include a complete route among the ridges and an ecological recovery and a conservation of the fortifications, the ruins and the air force batteries without compromising the sense of the space for the recreational use.

At present, under the condition that most of the urban infrastructure has been built and the rural ecological environment is relatively fragile, we cannot use landscape methods to make significant changes of the environment. In the meanwhile, climate change requires the improvement of the landscape to respond to various environmental problems. Therefore, my project selected two areas with distinct characteristics that the highway crossed to discuss different strategies for low-cost landscapes facing to different sites.

Low cost landscape is with the idea of low intervention, low consumption, low construction and low maintenance, is trying to research on controlling the landscape architecture construction interference to the environment and reducing landscape cost of construction and conservation from material selection and labour management. With this kind of design approach, the places will develop in a sustainable way that using less energy like electricity and water and having a self-sustaining ecosystem. Therefore, I named this design method that changes from a small landscape to improve the environmental quality of the entire area as “Green Sprawl”.

03 PACE OF NATURE [Team Work] Topic: Fringe of urban space Project Location: Lugano, Switzerland Date: 12/2019
The project is about the concept of bringing the mountain into the city. Lugano is considered a highly developed city, with good connections and infrustructures, but it lacks of aesthetics and ecofriendly facilities. It is surrounded by mountains but you cannot perceive it being inside the city. The idea, then, is to built a balanced upsidedown relationship. San Salvatore is one of the biggest attractions of Lugano, with a huge historic value, therefore, the focus point of the project in on how to lead people to this mountain, how to attract them in a simple yet strong way. This leads us to Lugano Paradiso, where visitors will be guide from the main points of arrival (Ferry, Funicolare, Train station and the starting of the Trekking) to the mountain. After getting on top of the mountain, people will understand why we are giving all this importance to it. The views are breath taking, so one of the main purposes is to point out these viewpoints, in addition we want visitors to go deeper on understanding, discovering the mountain (nature) and its secrets (legends).

Some visitors will like to have different experience of the mountain, the idea is to highlight that entrance by creating a green wall which will guide you gradually into the mountain, whrere there will be the resting area.
The tourism development of the Paradiso area is dominated by the waterfront landscape and boat tours of the Lake LUGANO, and the streets as the first arrival point of for tourists lack sufficient guidance. Secondly, there is not enough public space in the street for the mixed commercial and residential area, and green space provides people with leisure activities. Thirdly, the lane also has security risks, which is not conducive to the implementation of bicycle-based transportation.

05 Axis? aXis! LASUE 2020 - Urban Design of Future Park on Station Farini
Topic: Garden of culture and communication Project Location: Milan, Italy Date: 09/2020 Scale: 736ha
The site of the 7th LASUE International Workshop was chosen at Farini Station next to the center of Milan. This is a historic railway station with complicated traffic conditions nearby, and difficult-to-cross railway lines have become an obstacle to the north-south connection. In response to this situation, we chose to use a combination of pedestrian bridges and buildings to build a layer above the railway line. This pedestrian bridge's shape is like a "X" in between the railway station. Then with the new structure covering the station, the newly built Brera College was colluded with various parts of the pedestrian bridge. Build an open and green garden-style university in this area. Moreover, this open urban garden will also become another cultural and artistic center in Milan. We will use the abandoned building to transform it into a new Art Museum and concert hall. All the buildings will be connected together by this X-shaped flyover, allowing this X to patch up the defects of the north-south connection.

06 Last Evenings on Earth Landscape that exists on imaginary
Topic: concept design of landscape Project Location: Milan, Italy Date: 12/2019 Scale: 569ha
This is a project which illustrates a landscape that does not exist from a course of landscape culture and history. My topic focused on the festivals-the meaning of the celebration of each days people chosen as festivals. Taking the example of new year's eve, how does a landscape would show the celebrating action of humans in city center? what are the real changes through passing time? What is the difference between normal days and festivals? Those are the questions I would answer in this concept project.
The interpretation of this question starts from the festival. Festivals are the rhythm of the existence of a particular organization (usually referring to a country or nation). At a fixed pace, let the members of this organization coordinate the ritualized process to strengthen the endogenous centripetal force of the organization. This is the fundamental mission of the festival. Taking New Year's Eve as an example, this festival usually takes place in the city's central square, accompanied by large-scale events such as fireworks shows, light shows, outdoor concerts and collective countdowns to celebrate the arrival of the New Year. As the Earth rotates, these celebrations are repeated in cities in different regions as the time zone changes.
Duomo is located in the center of Milan, similar to all other places where New Year's events are held. The space of the square presents the characteristics of wide and open. Most of the pavements are made of hard, regular bricks. And there will be a monumental visual center as the endpoint for all crowds. It is ironic that Duomo, as a landmark of Milan, stands for the homogenization of collective activities and for liberty and democracy, which are contradictory sets of ideas. Except for the New Year's Day, people living in this city have a wealth of possibilities in a day's activities due to differences in their occupations and hobbies. But on the day of the festival, only the same routes and the same activities are left in this square.People were afraid of time passing, so they created festivals and pretended to take the initiative of time. 12:00
12:00
As a response to this phenomenon, I propose to use space itself to mark time and let the change of natural laws replace the subjectively defined festivals, to achieve the purpose of reorganizing space and paths.

DAILY ACTIVITIES
In my design, first I spread the time scale as a plane in this area, so that the rectangular square is divided into periods one by one. Although calendars in different cultural backgrounds calculate time in different ways, the time scale defined according to the Earth's rotation and revolution period is indeed objective. The second step is to cancel the ground pavement COUNTDOWN that represents rationality and order, to preserve the free attribute of the square, and to use events that occur when people celebrate, such as countdowns and music performances, to project three-dimensional activities onto the two-dimensional landscape plane, The event at a specific time becomes a fixed space, allowing it to exist at every moment, to achieve the purpose of removing the special meaning of the ritual. The third step is to embed various ancient timing devices such as moon phase timing and sundial timing in the square, and use the daily light and shadow changes of these devices to show the changes of time, so that people can feel the changes in a physical sense in every moment, every moment is in eternity. 02:00
04:00
FIREWORKS COUNTDOWN LIGHT SHOW MAGIC SHOWDRAMA SHOW PARTY
CONCERT
This design expresses opposition to people's pursuit of ritual moments. In my opinion, the replacement between years is the same as the replacement between days. Every day the earth is orbiting the sun, and the twenty-four pointers of each night are pasts that cannot be repeated. All evenings are the last evenings on earth.

Back to City Conceptual Planning of Public Space and Underground Space in Jiangwan New Town, Hangzhou
Topic: Urban Public Space Project Location: Hangzhou,China Date: 07/2017-10/2017 Scale: 569ha
The goal of planning Jiangwan New Town is to build a world-class Central Vigorous Waterfront Zone, relying on the ecological resources of the riverside, with the four thematic functions of "cultural tourism, life services, art exhibition and headquarters office", and with perfect supporting functions, to build itself into a 24-hour Vigorous City, which is also the height of CBD and Financial City of Qianjiang New Town. End service area. The planning takes rail transit line 9 as the East-West functional axis, forms four regional core and image landmarks around four rail transit stations, combines TOD model theory, realizes the intensive utilization and development of land around the station, mainly lays out the functions of culture, tourism, commerce, office, Hotel and art, and peripherally lays out riverside communities and countries. The function of community and international schools is to layout the headquarters functions of emerging industries along the viaduct area. The planning relies on the riverside shoreline to form the East-West active main axis, extending one horizontal and five vertical green corridors inward, and constructing the regional public space framework, evenly distributing, so as to realize the "blending of urban and green".
