Extension for Bonnefanten Mueseum Maastricht, hollanddz

The project:

the project is to make an extension for the Bonnefanten museum in Maastricht by the famous Italian architect Aldo Rossi after analyzing Rossi's' personal life, influences, Art and Architecture.

the site

maastricht, holland

Avenue Ceramique

about the project

For Bonnefanten Museum, the architect Aldo Rossi designed a building with a symmetrical E-shaped following the symitrical typology in maastricht and a 28m tower that rises above the Maas River in the central wing extension. The design leaves much to the imagination of the viewer, but the notion of the museum as a cultural symbol, with strong connections between past and present, is incorporated in the building, with its familiar references and strange elements that are both reassuring and disconcerting. Rossi’s work is sober and whimsical, classic and modern.

THE PROGRAM

THE OLD PROGRAM WAS A TYPICAL MUSEUM WITH CAFE AND THE EXTENSION ADDED A WALK WAY TO SEE THE CITY, A LIBRARY AND LENDING MUSEUM FOR THE PUBLIC WHERE PEOPLE CAN SHOW THEIR OWN ART AND RENT ART PIECES, TO MAKE THAT CONNECTION BETWEEN THE BUILDING AND THE USERS (MEMORY CONNECTION)

facde design

The project:

is to design a new facade typology architectural problem

that helps in solving an

concept :

taking the form of installations and public art, interactive spaces and structures can offer a welcome respite . this is most often as an entertaining diversion..at every level, it encouraged us to leacce our isolated self and interact with a greater social group the chanllenge is to take this technology to another level where it serves as a solution for architectureal problems in order to solve the problem of circulation in stadiums, our project aims for constructing an interactive skin that creaes entrances in response to human approach

research :

the interaction between viewer and what is viewed can be physical or remote, whether the object responds to a bodily presence or an electronic device such as a mobile phone a motion detector is a device that detects moving objects, particularly people. it is often integrated as a component of a system that automatically performs a task or alerts a user of motion in an area, these detectors can be placed underfloor to detect the motion humans, and thus control the movment of the panels in the facade based in the distance between the movement and these panels

EVERYTHIZNG THAT IS ABSORBED AND REGISTERED IN YOUR MIND ADDS TO THE COLLECTION OF IDEAS STORED IN THE MEMORY A SORT OF LIBRARY YOU CAN CONSULT WHEN A PROBLEM ARISE, SO ESSENTIALLY , THE MORE YOU HAVE SEEN, EXPERIENCED AND ABSORBED , THE MORE POINTS OF REFERENCE YOU WILL HAVE TO HELP YOU DECIDE WHICH DIRECTION TO TAKE , YOUR FRAME OF REFERENCE EXPAND

HERMAN HERTZBERGER WE KNOW THAT CHILDREN EXPERIENCE THE WORLD THROUGH THE SENSES WITH EACH SENSE ACTIVATING OTHER SENSES , THEY SEE TEMPERATURE THEY TOUCH LIGHT THEY TASTE SMELLS AND THE DESIGN CHALLENGE IS TO CREATE SPACES THAT CAN BE PERCEIVED AND USE BY ALL FIVE SENSES

“Give the pupils something to do, not something to learn; and the doing is of such a nature as to demand thinking; learning naturally results.”

CONCEPT

THE DUALITY CRISIS JABAL AMMAN IS A PART OF THE OLDEST CITY IN JORDAN IT'S DEEP HERITAGE IS UNIQUE AND UNLIKEANY OTHER PART OF THE COUNTY, IT'S HERITAGE IS STRONG AND VIBRANT WITH CHARACTER ,AT THE SAME TIME JABAL AMMAN IS PART OF SOMETHING NEW, THE RAINBOW STREET, FIRST CIRCLE ,AND LOOKS UPOON THE WEST AND THE NEWER AREAS OF JORDAN .JORDAN IS A CITY WITH MANY CHARACTEREISICS AND ANYTHING LOST IS LOSE TO ALL OF US THE IDEA IS TO PERSERVE ALL CHARACTERISTICS EVEN IN THE FACE OF DUALITY AND EMBRACE IT AS THIS AS WHAT JORDAN IS . A DIVERSE COUNTRTY

ibrahim hashim landscape project

amman jordan

The project:

is to design the outdoor space around the home of ibrahim hashem where all design interventions foster a socially and enviromentally-sustainable place for the visitors and students also we are required to design a small , safe , functional and attractive outdoor space fpr those who work and study in the dense urban enviroment of the area

ibrahim hashim’s house

Ibrahim Hashim Residence is a vital Ammani house from the 20s that was the residence of one of the earliest Prime Ministers of the Kingdom of Jordan, with an important location adjacent to the German Jordanian University and with a close connection to downtown. It can be viewed from many Hills of Amman. site analysis

the outdoor spaces are balanced in terms of shadowed and non-shadowed areas

the path to project from the top can view the whole project wich need to be considered , also at the street entrance, the front yard has a big area that can can be used for gatherings and other big events

the south and south west wind is blocked by the wall a wic indicates that there is no need for wind blockers

the concept

is to creat a new space wich will enriches the urban context of jabal amman and act as a node for community . our represntation idea will be though the inrichment of the wall which will serve as a link and also as an artistic piece wich will enhace the genral view of the project . the wall will also extend to the paln to reflect the same languge and to the continuity of the artistic piece

plan

our campus, al balad theater , the school, the craft shops and the old ammani houses .. all can interact toghther in harmony and together can improve the community through our project
