WHAT WE LEARNED: The month of October proved posi3ve for Majes3c Star Casino, with engagement and growth improving on all social pla=orms. In order to increase fan count, we implemented a boos3ng strategy and con3nued to incorporate custom designed shareable images that highlight gaming. The posts didn’t perform quite as well as September’s strategy, which shows us that fans are interested in other aspects of the brand, such as dining. This gives us great insight for future social calendars and content planning. No Limit will start shaping promo3ons and will offer giveaways such as buffet passes, Steakhouse passes and other bonus compensa3ons for Facebook fans. Boosted shareables on tongue-‐in-‐cheek posts had an average of 104 likes, an average of 5.5 comments, an average of 2.5 shares, and 33.5 average clicks per post — while reaching an average of 3,337 people. The boos3ng strategy had a significant impact on posts’ reach on Facebook, which yielded a meaningful increase in likes and clicks per post. Dining posts, including one boosted post, garnered an average of 35 likes, 3 comments, 1 share, and 18 clicks per post and reached an average of 839.5 people. Alterna3vely, dining posts excluding the boosted post garnered an average of only 14 likes, 2 comments, 1 share, and 14 clicks and reached an average of only 295 people.
NEXT STEPS:
Instagram contests are a great way to improve popularity on the photo-‐sharing pla=orm. We strongly suggest designing and execu3ng an Instagram contest for the month of November, as we only received four Instagram followers in October without a contest, while September’s contest garnered the page 40 new followers. The remainder of 2014 will require planning and coordina3on as we begin execu3ng major social campaigns. The first of these events is the launch of the iGaming pla=orm, which will require clear communica3on between Ericka and the No Limit design team. Moving forward, No Limit will be focusing on execu3ng the branded Advent calendar, where fans will have a chance to receive a daily prize throughout the month of December. The promo3on, 3tled “A Majes3c Holiday Giveaway,” will be a fantas3c way to engage current fans of the page, as well as gain new fans. With Majes3c Star Casino on the verge of 10,000 Facebook fans, this will be an effec3ve method to push toward this social media milestone. Throughout the remainder of the year, we will con3nue implemen3ng a boosted strategy. Based on analysis, we find that tongue-‐in-‐cheek boosted posts outperform other kinds of Facebook posts, and posts about dining op3ons tend to outperform messaging around gaming.
