GRADUATION PROJECT
YEAR
2010
BRIEF
THERE HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTS TO DISCOVER THE DYNAMIC AND THE FLEXIBLE IDEA OF THE CITY. DOES THIS CHANGE THE WAY WE EXPERIENCE SPACE AND WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR CITY? WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO CREATE THOSE “ FLEXIBLE BOUNDARIES. THERE IS NO MASTER IN THE MASTERPLAN ANYOME. SOMETIMES URBAN SPACE ARE UP FOR GRABES. THEIR USE CHANGES OVER TIME, THEIR INTENDED USE IS TRUMPED BY THE CROWD AND BY UNFORSEEFN EVENTS. THE DYNAMIC CITY IS A GOVERNMENTAL CONNECTED CITY, LOCATED IN NEW CAIRO. THE PROJECT IS A CITY IN A MEGASTRUCTURE BUILDING,
6
WHERE EVERYTHING IS INTEGRATED AND CONNECTED. THE BUILDING CONNECTS THE RELATED ACTIVITIES IN THE DIFFERENT GOVERNMENTS BY CREATING A SOPHISTICATED NETWORK VERICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY.

THE AIM OF THE PROJECT IS TO TRANSFORM THE AREA AROUND TREKRIONER LAKE, IN RISKOLDE, DENMARK. THE AREA IS OPEN AND WINDSWEPT, AND IS BEING USED ONLY IN THE SLIGHTEST DEGREE. THE GOAL WAS TO CREATE A SPACE THAT DEAL WITH THE LAKE, RESPECT THE TOPOGRAPHY OF THE AREA, CREATE AN ATTRACTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY THAT LIES NEXT TO THE LAKE. THE DESIGN AIM TO TRANSFORM THE AREA TO BECOME A CENTER FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES THROUOUT THE REGION. THE DESIGN PROPOSES SIX DIFFERENT AREAS: 1. STAGE ON THE WATER: AS A LARGE DOCK ON THE LAKE

YEAR
2016
BRIEF
The design team invoked the idea of disconnecting, disconnecting, and disconnecting without interruption. The concept of interconnecting adopted in the proposed design is the connection between multiple functions, whether by spatially or visually. Connections appeared in various forms and at many levels. As the various activities throughout the project were linked by horizontal walkers at the ground level, Upper corridors and walkways appeared on the upper level (the first and second floors), and that upper picnic is in the form of a bridge that sometimes passes the club, and at other times fuses into its buildings and turns from its roofs into areas that can be used as terraces
or later in many activities. What distinguishes these upper corridors is to create a unique and enjoyable situation for users through their walk upstairs, which gives them a good view of the different parts of the club. The design team decided to distribute the activities of the club so that any movement, sports or family activity is located in the northern land, while imparting a spirit of movement to the movement paths and architectural design, while placing other activities such as the conference room, the main restaurant, salons and wedding halls in the southern land, while adding a spirit of Tranquility, simplicity, nature and relaxation in place.

WITH THIS PROPOSAL A NEW CLOSE CONNECTION BETWEEN SVENDBORG CITY CENTRE AND THE HARBOR IS ESTABLISHED. THE PROPOSAL CONNECTS THE CULTURAL ASSETS OF THE CITY WITH THE UNIQUE LANDSCAPE WHICH SVENDBORG IS PLACED IN. THE PROPOSAL IS A SIMPLE PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY CENTRE, WITH THE RICH HISTORY OF SVENDBORG AS THE GENERATOR. THE AIM WAS TO CREATE THE BEST POSSIBILITIES FOR URBAN LIFE WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES. THE PROPOSAL SHOWS HOW THE POTENTIAL OF THE HISTORICAL CITY CENTRE CAN BECOME THE DRIVE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF UNIQUE URBAN SPACES, ROOTED IN
THE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT AND ATMOSPHERE. THE AREA CONSISTS OF A STRING OF URBAN SPACES, EACH WITH THEIR OWN CHARACTER. THE VISION IS TO EMPHASISE THESE DIFFERENCES, AND CREATE A HIGHLY DIVERSE CITY WHERE EACH SPACE HAS ITS OWN ATMOSPHERE AND ACTIVITIES ARE SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE CITY CENTER.

COMPETITION (1ST PRIZE - GUC DESIGN UNIT TEAM )
YEAR
2010
BRIEF
THE AIM OF THE PLANNING IS TO CREATE A WELL CONNECTED UNIVERSITY COMPLEX WITH HIGH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SPACE QUALITIES IN THE FORMER BORSIG AREA AND TO GIVE THE EXISTING, HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT BUILDINGS A NEW ARCHITECTURAL CHARACTER. THE HERITAGE-PROTECTED INDUSTRIAL HALLS ARE CONNECTED BY COMPLEMENTARY BUILDINGS - OLD AND NEW, HOWEVER, REMAIN CLEARLY LEGIBLE. THE OLD SIEMENSHALLE WILL BE FLANKED ON THE WEST SIDE BY THE NEW BOARDING HOUSE, WHEREBY ITS CULTIVATION WILL BE INTEGRATED INTO THE NEW APARTMENT BUILDING AND THE OLD BRICK FACADE WILL BECOME A DETERMINING PART OF THE ENTRANCE HALL. THE NEW,
L-SHAPED BUILDING OF THE STUDENT HOUSING BLOCK DEFINES A COURTYARD ON THE BACK OF THE SIEMENSHALLE, WHICH FUNCTIONS AS THE NEW CENTER OF THE CAMPUS. THE «SMALL HALL» IS UPGRADED NOT ONLY BY SPATIAL BUT ALSO BY ITS ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE, AND FORMS THE NEW MAIN ENTRANCE AREA OF THE UNIVERSITY. ON THE COURTYARD SIDE, OLD AND NEW PARTS OF THE BUILDING ARE CONNECTED BY TRANSPARENT DEVELOPMENT GALLERY. ON SEVERAL LEVELS, THE WORK-ORIENTED STUDENT WORK ZONES WITH A WIDE RANGE OF VISIBILITY ARE MADE POSSIBLE ON SEVERAL LEVELS.
