Timing Is Everything

It’s always fun to read “Three Perfect Days,” but we like it best when the readers are actually heading to the featured destination. That was the case for Rob Peralta. “On a recent United premium service fl ight from LAX to JFK, I was reading the September Hemispheres and stumbled upon ‘Three Perfect Days in Paris,’ which was well timed, since I was heading out to Paris the following week,” he writes. “I read the sidebar about Wendy Lyn’s food tours around Paris, and thanks to infl ight internet I went ahead and emailed Wendy to see if she could fi t me in for a tour when we got there. She responded seconds later, and we worked out a food tour before I landed at JFK!” Now that’s a tasty story. Over at hemispheresmagazine. com, commenter Louise Steinbach offered her own Three Perfect Days in Los Angeles (October): “A day at the Getty, night in Hollywood; a morning and afternoon hiking in Runyon Canyon, and a night in Hollywood. Then a whole day and night in Malibu!” Sounds like fun, Louise; we’ll travel with you anytime.
