SVEN PETERS / 38 TAMARA PETERS / 37 ALYSHA PETERS / 4 JORDI PETERS / 2 WHY WE’RE TRAVELING / SVEN: We’re going to Charleston, South Carolina, for a home exchange. The people who own the house we’re staying in will be at our place in Holland.

WHY CHARLESTON? / TAMARA: It was an accident! I was looking for places close to New York and Florida, and I mistakenly wrote to a family in Charleston. They really wanted to do an exchange, and we decided it would be a good idea.

NEVER LEAVE HOME

WITHOUT IT / SVEN: Drawing paper and coloring books to keep the kids occupied. We always hope we’ll have time to read something ourselves, but with the kids that doesn’t always work out.
