Motivational letter “Nothing gets transformed in your life until your mind is transformed.� Dear IFMSA-Iraq family, It has been a long journey that we have been through together.We shared experiences, laughs and memories.But, when it comes to our NMO interest we all stand to offer the best for the NMO and the country generally.I have learned as much as I can to have more options in life and in IFMSA as well, and when I had them I choosed to serve my NMO again.Hereby I am now a candidate for capacity building division director for the term 2020\2021. I believe all decisions and actions we take is a reflection to earlier incidents in our life and capacity building was the core of it for me.The eagerness to learn that I had since I was a child made me go through lots of learning journeys and landed me finally to where I actually am , but my vision is to share knowledge to every person who needs it otherwise why we are taking knowledge in first place ?.To create an educational environment in our country and in our NMO on a smaller range is my ultimate goal,the carrot that I am running to get, and I believe working in the capacity building team is one step forward towards catching that carrot. We always talk about paying back to the place that raised us initially, well this is the time to do so.Running for a second term is another way of saying thank you to IFMSA-Iraq for everything is given to me, serving the division that I love the most in my utopia or even a better realistic community,which is IFMSA-Iraq.

It is an essential need to add trainers’ scoring system to our regulations in order to ensure high quality of capacity building in our NMO.The system will depend on certain criteria will be taking ( preperations , evidence based materials and follow up post event ) into consideration and each stage will have part of that system.
Educational database: Since we have established an educational platform this term,in addition to that the international team has updated their database as well, my plan is to cope with NMO emerging needs regarding updating materials and adding new sessions’ materials. Trainer’s Database: Since we have established a trainers database this term, my plan is to incorporate the trainers scoring system with the trainer’s profile in the database

Since our NMO is going in the direction of creating policies, we need to make the process smoother by showing our participants the way step by step
Since we were working on NMO strategy in addition to SCOPH strategy this term, we have encountered difficulties regarding lack of our member’s awareness about strategy making.A toolkit in addition to CB sessions would solve the problem.

C A PACIT Y B UI L D I N G 1-online platform : We will focus on the online sessions due to the necessity that urges us to: a- online camps that suits the needs of the NMO and ensures that our members are well equipped with needed skills and knowledge. b- In coordination with MMPSDD & EB we will establish online platform for IFMSA-Iraq recorded courses with interactives materiels needed. 2-The debate will be our main new CB approach. We will in collaboration with VPE to target external partners in order to bring professional debate procedures into the NMO . Other initiatives will depend on the outcomes of this one and will be discussed later on during the term
3-Providing a diverse approach towards our national CB resources by providing written manuals and toolkits . 4-SC empowerment by specified camps and training sessions 5 4-Hold pre departure trainings (exchange – international meetings – conferences ) in coordination with exchange officers , the president
6-NMO management sessions development and accessibility 7-Members needs assessment 8-Focus on camps and sessions follow up reports and follow up with the members until the objective is reached 9-Work on strategy to activate CBD in all local committees : a-Sharing calls for international SRTs is not enough to activate CBD in the LCs .But , encouraging members is also necessary for the process b-Introduce the CBD properly to all LCs by physical and online introduction so they can be familiar with the division and how to be part of it
INTER N ATI O N A L LY 1-Hold Mesopotamia camp with the coordination of NMO president : As the Mesopotamia camp is one of our major priorities and is considered as a massive opportunity to increase the publicity of our NMO in addition to placing IFMSAIraq in its proper position in its international field: a-making sure that workshops delivered in SRTs aligned to NMO need . b-assuring the sustainability of Mesopotamia camp in collaboration with other team of officials members .
2-broaden our connections that might help us as IFMSA-Iraq and CBD through long-term promotion . 3- sharing calls of international SRTs for our members and insure the quality of them in pre departure evaluation 4-encouraging our trainers to facilitate SRTs worldwide 5-To Contact the CBRA EMR for following up with the cancellation of our SRT due to covid situation to discuss our other options
T EAM OF O F F I CI A L S D UTI ES 1-Making sure to be approachable by the members physically and online . 2-Being flexible and collaborating with other fellow team of officials members . 3-Contributing efficiently to the decision making process of the NMO as well as collaborating with the team of officials to hold TOMs with the highest outcome for the benefit of the NMO . 4- to work with the team of officials on an early solution for the wave of resignations that we encounter every term.The solution can include a toolkit that explains general team dynamics concepts in addition to pre-resignation final approaches.
