Caregivers are welcome to interact, play and learn with your little ones in a variety of activities planned by library staff, accessible throughout Kids’ World. For all ages. Caregiver supervision required.

Rainbow Pride Storytime

Saturday, June 4, 10–10:30 a.m. Lindsey Room

We’ll share stories, songs and crafts to celebrate inclusion, diversity and all types of families. Books such as Love is Love by Michael Genhart or Mama and Mommy and Me in the Middle by Nina LaCour may be shared and many titles representing a variety of family structures will be available to check out.

Black Joy Family Time

Listen to award-winning stories that feature Black children’s everyday lives which are playful, bold, curious and more! A selection of books will be on display for check out.

PeeWee Artists

Mondays, June 27, July 11, 10:30–11 a.m. or 11–11:30 a.m. / Hendrickson Room

Bring your little one into the world of process art in this hands-on, in-person program. Be sure to dress for a mess. Sign up for one 30-minute session.

Ages 2–3 with caregiver.

Wonder Time

Thursdays, June 30 and July 14 10:30–11:15 a.m. / Hendrickson Room

Bring your budding engineer or scientist to Wonder Time, a STEM program for reading, asking questions and engaging in hands-on learning. Ages 4–5.

Countdown to Kindergarten

Saturday, June 11 9:30–10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.–noon Hendrickson Room Get important information about kindergarten, helpful tips and more in this fun-filled hour.

Due to space restrictions, attendance is limited to child plus one adult. Register for one session only; both sessions are the same. For kids entering kindergarten in fall 2022, and one caregiver. Arlington Heights cardholders only.
