designed this set of bed, side table and chest storage made with acacia wood and metal framework which is quite unique in its own way.

The bed has a sturdy frame with a simple headboard with an asymmetrical detail .

The side table has a hollow level with metal framing its structure. is simple yet interesting with three different kinds of storage and with the play of positives and negatives.

Conceptual sketches

The task here was to make 4 table top items with clay inspired by the “4 elements of earth” making all 4 of them look like a piece of a collection at the end..

I have used terracotta to represent land and the curvy structure from waves to connect all of my pieces together, while also showing other elements.

I had participated in a competition where I had won the best concept for the theme of Dubai plan 2021, which led to the opportunity to live paint at THE DUBAI ART WEEK 2021.

I have worked on a piece that symbolises the themes of Dubai plan 2021 in an abstract way. It shows how its people are in an inclusive and cohesive society, and are creative and happy. People of different cultures and races are coexisting with harmony and respect for each other. Which is the first theme of Dubai plan 2021.

The map of UAE with the eye symbolises the compassionate government always looking out for its citizens and how Dubai has grabbed everyone’s attention in terms of a smart and developing city. The stairs depict the initial few steps of development that made Dubai the economy hub that it is today, the arrow emphasises this success.

The extended forehead string of the battoulah (traditional Arabic veil) represents the constraints that were casted upon a desert city by the world, that are being broken and Dubai is growing in all aspects while preserving its past and its traditions.
