The rum is a tribute not only to A.H. Riise, but also to the indigenous population of the islands as well as the Danish colonists. A memory from the time when they all served the same King.

A.H. RIISE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION RUM is a special limited edition rum. It was created on the occasion of the 100th ANNIVERSARY of the transfer of the Danish West Indian Islands to the United States, which took place on March 31, 1917. Just as the life and the people on St. Thomas, St. Jan and St. Croix is multifarious, so is this exclusive rum. The bottle is a beautiful blend of rums stored for up to 21 years in exquisite sherry casks that has previously contained Pedro Ximenez sherry, Oloroso sherry and port wine. The sherry casks belong in the sweet range of the sherry universe while the port wine cask has contained ruby port.

This rum is bottled in a beautiful and sophisticated luxury carafe with an engraved cork plug and is followed by in an elegant and stylish gift box. The check printed on the numbered bottle is a copy of the check for USD 25 million – the amount that the US paid the Danish Government for the Danish West Indies.

www.ahriise rum .com In 1838, the Danish Government officially granted A.H. Riise an exclusive right to produce alcohol on the island of St. Thomas in the former Danish–West Indies, (now U.S. Virgin Island).
