nown to be the favourite of King Haakon VIIIth of Denmark, our King Haakon X.O. Royal Reserve Rum has been faithful to the original late nineteenth century recipe created by A.H. Riise in his ‘apotek’ on the island of Saint Thomas in the Danish West Indies.

You can enjoy your own taste of royalty as you savour the subtle and delicate blending of some of AH Riise’s finest cask-aged blended rums which have matured to perfection. This is also a rum to be drunk with close friends as it has been created specially to celebrate the unique friendship between Riise and the then Prince Karl which began when the young Prince served on the frigates Jutland and then Fyen, which acted as maritime protection vessels in the Caribbean, frequently mooring off Saint Thomas when taking on fresh supplies. King Haakon X.O. Royal Reserve rum is distinct both in colour and flavour, hinting at a rum that is more for wintertime with its notes of red berries, sweet spices and traces of cinnamon.
