RUM

A.H. RIISE gained an international reputation for the production of some of the very finest rum to come out of the Caribbean in the latter half of the 19th century, mainly due to his close association with the Danish Navy. A.H. Riise Royal Danish Rum 55% pays tribute to the long-standing relationship the Danish pharmacist had with the navy, supplying it with rum for the sailors’ traditional rum ration for many, many decades.

Today we have remained as true as possible to the original process of creating this deep, full and heady rum which is created from a carefully selected blend which has been left to mature in old oak barrels for anything up to 20 years. These have been stored in cooler European cellars, allowing the rum to mature slowly and take on its own unique character. This is a powerful and flavoursome rum, which distinguishes itself by having a high alcohol content without this affecting the taste. However, for the aficionado, you will be pleased to know that with each sip comes the distinguishable ‘bite’ of an alcohol-rich rum.
