WHAT IS A BUSINESS ACTION PLAN? Every business has its “ups and downs” and there will always be moments of doubt and uncertainty that we will all experience. So, having a well-constructed Action Plan in place is a great way to recognize and resolves these obstacles that threaten to slow you down. As you meet one goal at a time, you’ll soon gain the necessary foundation to keep your business on track. As we are now into the 2002 – 2023 financial year, now is probably a good time to set goals, establish initiatives, revisit our strategic plans and update our business plans and commit this to our Action Plan for this financial year. As professionals I believe that we all aim to inspire and motivate our teams and clients, and as we work through a process of business or enterprise development with our business, we should involve them as much as possible in our Action Plan. The purpose of a Business Action Plan is to set out what resources are required to reach the goal, create a timeline of what specific tasks need to be completed and determine what resources are required to reach that businesses goal. However, an Action Plan can only be effective if it is firstly developed, and then actually carried out. Your action plan is the very “heart” of strategic planning and should detail clear, concrete steps to reach your goals. “A company is only as good as its people, their ability to deliver and the promises they keep”
