PRESIDENT AIESEC UNILA 15/16 APPLICATION QUESTIONNAIRE PRISKA WAHYURININTA

GENERAL QUESTIONNAIRE

2. Motivation to apply for LCP AIESEC Unila 15/16 My motivation WHY I apply for this role because when I reflect again in my self, I don’t feel satisfied of my work yet. I still want to give more contribution not only for my functional but also THIS ENTITY. and like someone said, “If you want to change it, so change it! Be the one who change it!”. So I don’t wanna be a complainer and just feel satisfy about what I’ve done in my functional oGCDP. But I want to be the one who will solve it. Because there are some lacks that must be solved. And Basically, I LOVE THIS ORGANIZATION and THIS ENTITY. I want this entity grow up and be the LC. I want to boost up AIESEC Unila’s performance with my capacity to lead my teams. 3 key areas development from this role: -

Strategical Thinking Team Management Effective Communication

3. What does AIESEC mean to you as person? AIESEC means a lot for me. AIESEC has changed my life. From the person who don’t know exactly what is commitment, value, integrity, team work, hard work, leadership, etc. From this platform, I really feel those! The place for me to explore and develop my potential. The place that I learn how to be better person. The place that I get most amazing experiences in my life. The place I learn how to lead and be leaded. This organization is my second home after family. I found laughed, cry, anger, friend, sisterhood, brotherhood, teamwork and everything in organization that you never found before. It change my perspective about what life is. AIESEC dares people to dream big and to be upnormal. This organization changes someone from nothing into something. 4. What is the most memorable moment within your team in AIESEC? Why do you choose these experience as your memorable moment? The most memorable moment within my team in AIESEC is when I and my oGCDP team are really worked hard for preparing audit, deadline and everything. I choose this moment because I can see how serious and responsible they were for this functional and entity. I was blessed at that time. Thank you God, I have amazing super team! We woke up early in the morning at 3 am together. We reviewed all the oGCDP knowledge, SOP, XPP and everything. And we celebrated our team in one day bonding karaoke. A Work Hard must be celebrated. And this is the most memorable moment in my team!! I can see their hardwork and happiness during this AIESEC journey. 5. What are your strengths and weaknesses? How do you overcome your weakenesses? My strengths are hard worker, highly motivated, eager to learn, committed and optimistic. My weaknesses are moody, hard to wake up in the morning, emotional, stubborn, sensitive, and a little bit grumpy. How I overcome my weaknesses is not easy. But I am trying as always. One of the effective ways to

overcome my weaknesses is join organization. So I will not be the very-stubborn person. Because I learn how to accept opinion. By working in a team, I try to be patience and decrease my weaknesses. My strenghts are covered my weaknesses. When I feel moody or lazy (hard to wake up), I remembered again about my commitment and optimism. 6. What are your future plans? Describe your future path and how position as an LCP will help you in achieving your further goals? Be the inspiration for people through what I do. I wanna be the CEO on my own company and also be the best seller writer. I am strongly sure what I get from this organization will give a lot of benefits for my future because I want to be professional, have a lot of networking, and the skill of leadership that can implement and give positive impact through my dream as CEO and best seller writer. Especially the position of LCP is the best learning how to act like CEO. Because there are a lot of skills that I can develop as LCP and surely can be implemented in proffesional work like strategical thinking, presentation skill, etc. 7. What was your biggest failure in AIESEC during your last year and what learning points did you get from it? My biggest failure in AIESEC during last year is when I lost one of my team and he don’t get any develoment enough in this organization. My learning point is just letting your team passion , always give them motivation of WHY and be more open to members. 8. List up your 3 achievements in your life! 1. I can be the inspiration or motivator for someone and many people in the world through what I do (my Job and my books). 2. Having harmonious family. 3. My parents proud of my hard work

specific QUESTIONNAIRE 1. What would you envision for AIESEC Unila 15/16? Please elaborate the measurement of success of what you envision. To make AIESEC Unila become well-known and trusted as Youth Leadership Development Organization in Bandar Lampung and be sustainable entity by increasing the quality experiences, capacity members, strong essence and branding positioning. Well Known as Leadership Organization in Lampung: 1. Brand Positioning AIESEC Unila in external stakeholders is still looked as Exchange Provider or english club or even foreigner club in Lampung. There is only few people who understand that AIESEC is the truly leadership organization. These kind of perpectives that must be solved. Because if we let them still thinking like that, it will influence to our programs. They will get wrong expectation in involving our programs. So how to strengthen brand positioning that AIESEC as leadership organization is delivering the right message through our promotional tools and members. There will be branding class to the members. So that the members will know how important branding is and how they can be a good representative of AIESEC. The measurement of success of this brand positioning is every stakeholders know and understand the right perpective of what is AIESEC. So there will no message of English club, travel agent or even foreigner club. 2. Stakeholders Engagement My analyzis is that AIESEC Unila has lack of egagement to the stakeholders and it influences to our performance. Why performance? We have oGCDP, iGCDP, iGIP, TLP and TMP. This program will not be maximized without the help of stakeholders. In oGCDP, we need support from students, UKM, Hima, other communities and even parents. So if we don’t engage them how can they know that we are trustworthy organization. In iGCDP and iGIP as well. We need support from schools, NGOs, governments and corporate. But if we never do engagement, they will leave AIESEC sooner or later. Because they think that they don’t give any contribution and AIESEC doesn’t give impacts to them. TLP and TMP programs as well. If we don’t engage them by our program, they will resign. That’s why if we want to make them trust to our program and spread the information about AIESEC, the first thing we do is engagement and good CRM. This Stakeholders Engagement will be: 1. Involving every stakeholders in big event of AIESEC Unila like Global Village, Global Youth Fair, Charity Event and AIESEC Anniversary. By involving every stakeholders in this big event, they will feel very appreciated and and it will increase the trust that AIESEC is good partner. 2. Parents Gathering and Parents Newsletter Why I want to make parents gathering because according to my analyze, parents are don’t know about AIESEC. Whereas parents have important contribution in exchange program. Many of applicants GYAP are failed to go abroad because of parents endorsement. So I want to make more showcasing about AIESEC program to the parents. The promotional tools can

be from newspaper. So that they know and get interest to register their children to our programs. Besides, there will be parents gathering not only for Exchange Participants’s parents but also member’s parents. Why? Because parents deserve to know what exactly the members do in AIESEC and what EP will do in abroad. Like what I wrote before, we have to give right message to every stakeholders that AIESEC is leadership organization. That’s why this parents gathering is important. Besides, Why Parents newsletter? Parents newsletter is same like external newsletter. For term 15/16 I want external newsletter not only spread to our partner and TN taker but also parents of EP and members. So that parents will know the GYAP experience from each Eps, their children condition during exchange and also another LC activities. 3. BOA monthly meeting What I analyze from the previous term is that we don’t involve BOA in entity’s activities and also less meeting. So that I will build and maintain relationship with BOA. Therefore they can give more advices and give contribution especially about legality. 4. External newsletter and greeting cards To give more showcasing about AIESEC Unila’s activities as a form of transparency for partners and parents. 5. Partnership Survey To see and improve the satisfaction partnership. 6. Involve in other communities event or external event By involving in new communities and come to community event, they will know AIESEC and they can share and spread information about AIESEC. This will make AIESEC will be well known. 3. Strengthen PR/IM and Program Marketing functional To make AIESEC Unila become well known as leadership organization, we should make a campaign like flash mob or channels in social media. This 15/16 term will be focus in spreading information about AIESEC with the right perpective. Why well known? Because every youths in Lampung deserve for AIESEC experience. Because every stakeholders deserve for AIESEC impacts. So that to make it happen, I will strengthen the PR/IM and Progmar functional.

How to be WELL KNOWN  Build and maintain relationship, partnership to every stakeholders, spread and more showcase about what is AIESEC and AIESEC program with the right message through promotional tools  good relationship, partnership and service will be beneficial for word of mouth marketing  they trust AIESEC as good leadership organization  will be easier in marketing and selling  will boost up GCDP, GIP, TMP, TLP performances. Entity Sustainability

-

-

1. Sustainability Financial To strengthen oGCDP as our main focus program 2. Capacity Members To ensure that AIESEC Unila members get high development capacity and experience. Mentor for members

-

Ensuring EB give minimum monthly lead session to every members Shaping organization culture and sales culture Giving all functional education to all the members so that every members understand operational in every functional. Giving a strong essence and sense of belonging. Engaging members by functional bonding and entity bonding. Ensuring the members do productivity for Raising and Matching. (give basic operational GCDP and GIP). Empowering members by inviting motivator (it can be from AIESEC alumni or MC or external) 3. Ensuring Minimum Quality Promise, XPP implementation and Customer Experience Ensuring that every EB implement the right MQP and XPP in order to be zero complaint from customers. Delivering high quality experience and ensuring 16 standards and satisfaction implementation. I believe if we implement good MQP, XPP and 16 standards and satisfactions, our program will get minimumly C certificate program.

4. Legality Legality will be my main focus action step. The first step is making stakeholders trust on our organization and feel satisfied of the relationship/ partnership. They will support us to legalize AIESEC in Unila. My steps: 1. Engagement Stakeholders 2. Collect the proof of satisfaction survey from partnership, EP, parents. It can be testimonials or promotional tools ( newspaper, social media, etc) 3. Collect the program report and AIESEC Unila’s activities and proof the existence of AIESEC in Indonesia (DIKTI etc). 4. Asking endorsement letter from each partners. Including from parents. 5. Approach Dean of faculty in Unila. Especially FEB,Fisip, FH. By getting the endorsement letter, we can easily get audience for UKM. 6. Recommendation letter from BOA, TN Taker, government, corporate. 7. Approach directly to Third Vice Rector Unila with all the endorsement letter and recommendation letter, also the proof satisfaction survey/ testimonial and program report ( GCDP and GIP performance). 8. If it doesn’t work, we do negotiation why AIESEC can’t be in Unila. What’s the strentghs and weaknesses. We will invite one of partners and tell What’s the benefit for Unila having this platform. 9. If it doesn’t work again, we will invite MC Indonesia to directly approach Rector. Measurement of success for my envision is what I elaborate above that can succesfully be implemented in our entity. 2. Explain your LC 15/16 Proposed Team Structure! Engaging stakeholders 3. Capacity and essence members 4. Brand Positioning 5. Legality and passing internal audit 4. Critically make a SWOT analysis of AIESEC Unila over the past 3 years (12/13, 13/14, 14/15). You can use anykind of theory for your analysis. SWOT Analysis AIESEC Unila 12/13: In 12/13 term, this is the first term that AIESEC Unila was established. So when an organization is very very new, there are a lot of trial and error.

Strenghts: - AIESEC easily get attention from the students because this is something new organization that can exchange and inviting foreiner students. - AIESEC brings new perpective of global mindset to youths in Lampung - AIESEC brings new freshly learning environment to the TN takers and partners. It’s rarely schools in Lampung can invite foreigner to interact with students with English. Weaknesses: - The complexity of AIESEC it self makes other students are afraid to join AIESEC (interview, filling booklet are something new in recruitment for youth organization in Lampung) - They know AIESEC as English club, Exchange program, Foreigner club. That’s it. Nobody knows that AIESEC is youth leadership development organization. - The lack of trust because AIESEC is still new organization in Lampung. - The lack of operational and education . - Many trial and error - There’s some conflict in EB 12/13 that influence to the performance 12/13 to 13/14 early Opportunity: - AIESEC is new opportunity for students to go abroad for voluntary experience. - AIESEC is new opportunity for students to involve in international network - AIESEC is new opportunity for students for develop their potential - AIESEC is new opportunity for students to involve in any AIESEC program (GCDP, TMP, TLP) Threads: - Many organizations dislike AIESEC because AIESEC easily get attention. - Satisfaction from TN Taker and other partner about AIESEC. Some TN takers are not satisfied because the teaching english project in schoold didn’t run well. SWOT Analysis AIESEC Unila 13/14: Strenghts: - AIESEC easily get attention from the students and other stakeholders (corporate and government) because this is something new organization that can exchange, inviting foreiner students and directly gives the impact to the stakeholders. (University, learning, media, TN taker raise) - AIESEC Unila step by step be well known in not only in Unila but also Teknokrat and IAIN ( there some members from outside Unila) - AIESEC Unila unique events makes the students attractive to involve in this organization. (Youth Talk, Global Village, Exchange Fair) - The number of oGCDP, iGCDP, TMP, and TLP are increasing. - The number in iGCDP is the most grow entity that can realize 32 EP in one project. Weaknesses: - Some members are lost even the VP OGX 13/14 - Lack of sinergy among members - Late and Lack of education from LC sister to the and EB to the members. - Late of timeline for oGCDP and iGCDP - Lack of togetherness among members - Lack of promotion - Weak brand positioning - AIESEC is still well known as exchange organization - Legality Opportunity:

-

AIESEC is new opportunity for students to go abroad for voluntary experience. AIESEC is new opportunity for students to involve in international network AIESEC is new opportunity for students for develop their potential AIESEC is new opportunity for students to involve in any AIESEC program (GCDP, TMP, TLP)

Threads: - More organization dislike AIESEC than before. Most of them are jealous. - Some people approach AIESEC for wrong reason. Example: External people ask the foreigner for drunk and party. - Some people utilize AIESEC for their personal goal especially for intern participant. - Some people in Unila don’t agree that AIESEC be UKM-U. - Some people in Unila don’t agree that AIESEC Unila open members from outside. - TN Takers are picky. They just want EP from Europe. - Some students in Lampung are still fixed mindset SWOT Analysis AIESEC Unila 14/15: Strenghts: - Better education and operational than the previous term for EB and the members because all the EBs 14/15 get directly in touch from MC and joined National Conference. - Better timeline and performance - Better performance and sinergy in OGCDP and Marcom. The promotion is good - AIESEC Unila is good potential for market supply and demand. AIESEC Unila is the second entity besides LC Unand in Sumatera Island. (Potential LC) Weaknesses: - Stakeholders are really don’t know what is AIESEC. They think AIESEC is exchange organization not leadership. - Parents are the bottleneck of the oGCDP. They don’t give the permission to their children to join GYAP program. - Legality - Some of the members are unreachable Opportunity: - AIESEC is new opportunity for students to go abroad for voluntary experience. - AIESEC is new opportunity for students to involve in international network - AIESEC is new opportunity for students for develop their potential - AIESEC is new opportunity for students to involve in any AIESEC program (GCDP, TMP, TLP)

Threads: - Some people in Unila don’t agree that AIESEC be UKM-U. - Some people in Unila don’t agree that AIESEC Unila open members from outside. - Some members are still don’t know how to use new GIS Expa - Some members don’t implement the SOP, MQP and XPP rightly.

What kind of leadership is needed in AIESEC Unila? How can AIESEC Unila deliver relevant and impactful leadership experiences through our exchange programmes and TXP? Please correlate it to the Leadership Development Model and inner-outer journey.

Kind of the leadership is needed in AIESEC Unila is delivered based on leadership development model in this organization by creating outer journey and reflect inner journey. Besides, AIESEC Unila members need the role model and lead by example who is the Team Leader. The Team leader that can encourage and track team member’s progress. AIESEC Unila can deliver relavant and impactful leadership experiences by increasing the standard quality of each programs and fulfilling 16 standards and satisfactions. Development, performance and productivity are the main part how we can develop the members. We would like to give the high quality of leadership experience but if we don’t track that 3 main points, how can we give more impact. Everything must balance. We want to develop the members to be the global leader that have high Global Competencies Model and three essential minimum (Self aware, Responsible for the world, Effective Communication) by Inner and Outer Journey. By involving the uniqueness of AIESEC (How AIESEC enables leadership development), they faced the inner and outer journey. Every single step they take in AIESEC that can develop they to be the leader. Delivering high standard quality and 16 standards and satisfactions and at the same time, facing and reflecting the inner journey so that they can improve their development, performace and productivity. We want youths in Lampung can be the global leader that the world needs nowadays. 6.

What are the main challenges that you might be facing during your term considering of :

When my Team is demotivated , unreachable and lack of pro activeness. It will be challenged for me to boost up their performance and give them always motivation. Unreachable and proactiveness are also the big challenge for me. When I feel moody and feel don’t wanna do anything. It’s hard to be always in high performace meanwhile you are LCP. So you have to be super super excellent in front of your members. Leading by example. If you are demotivated, how about your team? It’s challenge for me. When I can’t manage my time management. Multitasking is not my expert. But it will be my challenge. How will you overcome those challenges ? I overcome those challenges by relaxing my self first. Finding my mood booster first. When I can calm and be energic, I will 100% ready for overcome the challenges. I will give motivation and clarity of WHY everytime they feel demotivated. Relaxing for the moment is the best part when I feel moody and demotivated. For my life balance, I always do principle: just DO IT! even you don’t like to be super multitasker. 7. What kind of attitudes and behaviours should the 15/16 generation have and what will your role be in ensuring that as LCP of the 15/16 generation? Behaviours: The sense of belonging, respect, determination , proactiveness and c ollaborative. I will be the guide of WHY. Why we are in AIESEC. The purpose of AIESEC. Because if you don’t know the value behind it and the reason of it, you just do something useless. You do tiredly and when you resign from AIESEC, you get nothing. This is what I see now. Some of AIESEC Unila’s members were resigned because they don’t know exactly the value and essence why they were in AIESEC. Besides, what I see now that AIESEC Unila’s members is only care about their each functionals. There is no strong synergy and collaborative for every members. It influences to their personality. They just close and mingle with their functional. They don’t care with other members. So when the bonding comes, only just few members who come. This is because they think that they don’t close to other members and they don’t get high sense of belongings.

-

-

-

Respect: We should respect each other even for EB to the OC. Some of the members think that EB is like a boss and also some members are not respect to the other functionals.I want to give a clarification that EB is not like a boss and strong advice or motivation to the members that we should respect. Determination/ good commitment: AIESEC Unila members should have determination / good commitment. Why? Because when they find working under pressure, they will just give up about their JD or even they resign. It will influences to their performance and entity as well. What I want to emphasize is giving the self reflection and motivation. Proactiveness: AIESEC Unila members are lack of proactiveness. They just wait the direction from their team leader. We have to increase their proactiveness by giving RnR so that they can highly motivated to seek opportunities and holding functional competition (who are the most proactive member from each functionals). The competition can be quiz or achievement productivity.
