Who Are We? AIESEC is the world's largest youth-run organisation present in over 113 countries and territories with over 86,000 members. We are an independent non-governmental, not-for-profit and nonpolitical organisation. AIESEC Ghana is the national entity for AIESEC in Ghana and has been operational since 1960.

What Do We Do? We provide a platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential as well as strive towards making a positive impact on society.

How Do We Do It? We have two different experiences we deliver to young people: Team Experiences & International Internship Experiences. With our team experiences, you would get the opportunity to develop personal and professional skills through theoretical and practical means. These can be developed on different levels by working in a team as a LEADER or a MEMBER. With our internship experiences, young people would have access to thousands of internship opportunities globally either as a VOLUNTEER, where you work towards developing a community, solving a societal issues, working in a school or an NGO; or as a CORPORATE INTERN where you work towards professional development and organisational growth.

Over 1000 Members Currently, according to the data provided by myaiesec.net (our Global Information System), see Global Information System Data for more information) our membership base until the end of this quarter is over 1000 spread across 7 universities. We have 700 members participating in our Experiential Leadership Development Programmes. The analysis for myaiesec.net is a bit different from the current reality as new members are yet to register on the system and some alumni are still recognized as members. Even though we grew in matching and realization, the local reality is slightly different from what is on the system and the reason for this can be traced to first, inability to use aiesec.net to extract the membership data and lack of performance at local executive level.

Training Camps There was training on talent capacity building in AIESEC UCOMS where the executive board and members were taken back to our essence and progress and how their role is important in driving the growth of their local entity. At the end of the training members connected to the ‘why’ of AIESEC and were motivated and ready to deliver.

308 Recruited Local entities which were not able to complete their recruitment in the first quarter were able to do so this quarter. This recruitment was conducted by KNUST, CUC and UCOMS. This is in addition to the 219 recruited in quarter 1 by Legon, UCC and CUCG.

660 Team Member Experiences & 269 Leadership Experiences From this analysis, we grew in TMP/TLP matching and realization in this quarter by over 200%. Local committees that are increasing member efficiency tremendously include Legon and CUCG. To the other LCs, There is a need to make sure that members are participating more in LC activities, assigned roles on myaiesec.net and that these activities are result oriented activities. Reward and recognition in the next quarter will be based on results and the number of people contributing to the result.

Partnership Development Analysis There has been a strong focus on following-up on and service the various national exchange partners in this quarter. The partnerships have been managed by conducting regular follow-up meetings, evaluation with interns and the companies and invitation to various events. In addition to the development and focus on exchange, there has also been other activities and support from the national exchange partners. Byblos Hotel and AIESEC Ghana are now cooperating in arranging a weekly hangout for AIESEC Ghana where interns, members, partners and alumni are invited for an informal event to connect and enjoy. In relation to this, Byblos Hotel is providing the venue (Venus Bar) and are giving specific discounts and/or free food or drinks to everyone attending this event (TYF Thursday). Aquafresh has also been contributing to AIESEC Ghana, by giving out in-kind (fruit juice) for our events, in quarter 2; AIESEC Ghana Member Motivation Event. Both these agreements are prearranged to continue in quarter 3 and quarter 4. Ghana Immigration Service Another vital partnership AIESEC Ghana hold is with Ghana Immigration Service. This cooperation has been in existence for several years and is a vital part of the role of MCVP GIP & GCDP to satisfy the Immigration Service and interns coming to Ghana. The partnership is still strong, though with some encounters along the way. The partnership is arranged to continue and the goal for Q3 is to have a written, formal agreement to state the conditions of the partnership. For the partnership AIESEC Ghana receives free services for all visa procedures except emergency visa. MCVP GIP & GCDP is fully responsible for carrying out the arrangements of the partnership for AIESEC Ghana both on local and national level. AIESEC Partnership Development Analysis As part of the strategy of strengthens AIESEC entity partnerships in West Africa, MCVP GIP & GCDP was selected to attend the West African Connection Seminar in Nigeria as facilitator for the conference. Main responsibility was to together with the whole conference team, ensure a high quality conference with space for learning, development, discussions and increase knowledge about AIESEC across all the West African entities. Another important role of the conference was to serve as a platform to further develop the partnerships AIESEC Ghana established in quarter 1 with AIESEC Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Senegal and Nigeria; as well as discussions with other West African AIESEC entities on how to work together to deliver exchange among the entities. The result of the conference was stronger commitment and cooperation amongst the entities with specific guidelines to follow the exchanges amongst the entities. AIESEC Ghana | ghana@aiesec.net | P.O.
