5. If we have to add/remove/replace/evolve stages in the AIESEC Experience, probably if any, what will that be? I personally think that after Introduction to AIESEC, There should be a small stage like “Getting into the Flow Before the Taking Responsibility stage is taken. They should learn the processes to achieve their Goal and then Go to TR stage and star working towards their goal.

ER Product 1 – EMPOWER 2012 Rather than being an event for college students wherein they are made aware of the carrier opportunities and presenting business plans, Empower 2012 will be an event for the School Students studying in 11th and 12th standard. It will be a great platform for them to understand the openings in the future and Opportunities they can grab through AIESEC. Instead of being a one day event, sessions will be taken in different schools by AIESECers for almost a month explaining the importance of this platform.

Balakalakaar 2012 Again not a one day event, BKK 2012 would aim to Impact almost 10000 underprivileged children. With AIESECers visiting NGO’s all over the city and conducting activities for children it will be a great initiative to impact more children and impact even those children who are handicapped and can’t travel. The month long Activities will be followed by main event which would have close to 5000 children.

Youth to Business 2012 On the Similar line of Y2B 2011, Y2B 2012 will be just be on a larger scale involving approximately 1000 students also having a carrier fair for the delegates involved. Other events – - Possibly a Global Village to Boost OGX - Partnership with MUN. ER - Sustainability

EXECUTIVE

SUMMARY

Recruited in AIESEC In February 2010. Its been almost two years since i have been in this beautiful organisation. From team Leaders to OCCs to internships I have lived this organisation in almost every aspect Possible. Today when I sit here and type my executive summary all those beautiful moments come back to my mind. Its because of those beautiful moments this organization has given me that I have Decided to apply for the Highest position it can offer. I have always believed that the beauty of AIESEC Chennai is nothing but its people. I have always worked for the people not for the targets. These People have given me a new perspective to life and have helped me grow immensely as an individual in these past 2 years. 2011 was a great year of sustenance. Because The Corps Gave us a brilliant year i decided to keep their dreams for the Local Committee Going and thus Chose my theme “Attaining the Acme”. I believe that after such a fantastic year. The Only Direction in which AIESEC Chennai Can grow is Up. And up is the direction, then why not achieve the Highest peak, The ACME. I am Honored to Mr Diwakar Raju, who gave me this Opportunity to apply for this position and to all the people Who showed their belief in me and Endorsed me for the same. If Elected, I would give my best to perform all the duties as the Local Committee President of AIESEC In Chennai.

Thank You

Kartik Bhatia Candidate for the office of Local Committee President AIESEC Chennai 2012-2013.

“We Sustained, now its time to Attain.”

To Whomsoever Kindly treat this letter as an endorsement for Kartik Bhatia's candidature for the office of Local Committee President of AIESEC Chennai for the term 2012-13. Kartik had joined AIESEC in February 2010 during my tenure as the Vice President, Corporate Relations of AIESEC Chennai. As a newly recruited member he stood out from the rest of the new recruits both professionally and personally. His passion, dedication and commitment for the organization showed a lot about the leadership potential that he had in him. As a member of this prestigious organization, Kartik not only grew professionally, but also took up efforts to develop as an individual which ultimately got him closer to being that leader he aspired to be. In my tenure as Vice President, Corporate Relations, I saw Kartik developing his leadership skills while going through an amazing AIESEC experience and hence i'm very proud and happy about his decision to apply for the post of Local Committee President of AIESEC Chennai. I would like to take this opportunity to wish him all the very best for his candidature for the post Local Committee President, AIESEC Chennai. Yours Sincerely, Bhavjoth Singh Anand Vice President Corporate Relations AIESEC Chennai 2010-11

Dear whom this may concern, RE: Endorsement Letter for Mr Kartik Bhatia as a Candidate for Local Committee President of AIESEC Chennai 2012/2013 I am writing this letter to endorse Mr Kartik Bhatia as a Candidate for Local Committee President of AIESEC Chennai 2012/2013. I first met Kartik during my Developmental Traineeship (i.e. Global Community Development Programme) in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, in the summer of 2010. Together with another Indonesian Exchange Participant and our supervisor, we were in-charge of delivering 30 hours of English and Cultural Education sessions to over 200 children aged 4 to 16 years old. We have kept in contact ever since. Kartik is an extremely resilience person. He had encountered a lot of difficulty adjusting to the differences in culture and cuisine of Russia, but he had never once given up. He had kept an open mind and went through frustrations the team had encountered with a positive attitude. As an LCP, I understand that having a solution-oriented approach to any challenges that can affect the LC is of utmost importance, and Kartik has already adopted this mindset as his life principle. Kartik is very resourceful, flexible and creative. During our traineeship, he had completed many unforeseen responsibilities exceedingly satisfactorily, in spite of time limitation. For example, within less than 24 hours, he had choreographed a dance for the children to showcase in Parent’s Day, and taught them the dance. These qualities will enable Kartik to identify new initiatives the LC can undertake to increase the LC’s capacity to deliver many enriching experiences to the members and Exchange Participants. Kartik is a charismatic person. He was very well-liked by the students he had interacted with, as well as his colleagues. As Vice President Corporate Sector of AIESEC Chennai, Kartik had achieved Good Growth in the same. Hence, I am confident that he would be able to represent AIESEC Chennai to various stakeholders well, and forge many corporate partnerships that would bring the LC to greater heights. Should you wish to clarify any of the above-mentioned, please feel free to contact me at anastasya.yolanda@aiesec.net. Warmest regards,

Anastasya Yolanda Local Committee President AIESEC in Nanyang Technological University 2011/2012,

Dear Diwakar, Sub: Letter of endorsement. I am pleased to know that Mr Kartik Bhatia, currently Vice President Corporate Relations, has decided to stand for the election to the office of Local Committee President of the Chennai chapter of AIESEC for the term 2012-13. I have been working with Kartik for the past 1 year, as I have requested him and his team to source an intern for my organization. I am pleased to notice such professionalism, integrity and sincerity in someone so young. His timely updates and resilience in finding a candidate is most definitely commendable. During my interaction with him at various forums AIESEC has organized over the past one year, I have observed a rapid progress in his character and seemed to be developing only for the better. Hence I request you to consider this as a letter of endorsement for his candidature to the above mentioned position. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish him the very best for all his future endeavours. Yours sincerely,

TO WHOM SO EVER IT MAY CONCERN It gives me immense pleasure to endorse Kartik Bhatia for the post of Local Committee President, AIESEC in Chennai 2012-2013. My first interaction with Kartik was when he had signed up for a Developmental Traineeship with AIESEC in April 2010 and soon after his internship, he became one of the most active new recruits of AIESEC Chennai. He has always been a strong believer of AIESEC values and cherished his Exchange Experience to Russia and inspired many others to take it up. He took up his first leadership role as the Organizing Committee President for Local Congress, July 2010. He was also awarded the Best X+L Award for his complete eXchange and Leadership experience in December LCONG 2010. In October 2010, Kartik took up the role of Organizing Committee Controller for Balakalakaar 2010 and pulled off the most successful event AIESEC Chennai had ever seen. Kartik is the sole AIESECer I know who apart from his role in the Corporate Sector has taken up the eXchange experience and OC Experience and has been outstanding in both. I am honoured that Kartik and I got to work as colleagues as a part of the same Executive Body. Throughout his term he has been passionate about delivering experiences to his members, clients and interns. He mentored the Organizing Committee of Youth to Business Forum-2011 as the Executive Body Controller and delivered the best event in the history of AIESEC Chennai, yet again. Kartik has always been there to help me out as a colleague and as a friend whenever I required his assistance. Kartik has always done justice to what he has taken up and I am sure that he will continue to do so. I hereby endorse him and wish him good luck for all his future endeavours. To Whomsoever it may concern

13th November, 2011 Subject: Letter of Endorsement for Kartik Bhatia for the Office of Local Committee President of AIESEC Chennai, 2012-2013 We as students join AIESEC, this beautiful organization to develop the potential in us, build long lasting and meaningful relationships and to bring out the hidden leader in us. I’m glad to say that after my 2 years in this organization, I have come close to achieving those three things. But if I had to think back now, meeting Kartik Bhatia is one of the biggest things I’ve gained throughout my journey in AIESEC. According to me, he is the embodiment of anything that is professional, passionate, competent, tender and perfect. He has given this entire Local Committee enough and more reasons to prove all of the above adjectives right. From being one of the few leaders who has completed the Duality of an AIESEC Experience to being the person behind the best Balakalakaar that AIESEC Chennai has seen AND towards leading the brightest minds towards organizing a Youth to Business which one could only dream off, Kartik Bhatia has proved his worth externally as well as ensuring an unimaginable growth in the Corporate Sector, single handedly. To see one of my closest friends applying for a position this esteemed, fills me pride and happiness more than words can describe. Apart from being extremely mature and sensible, Kartik has played a great role in molding many people into what they are today. I, am a living example for the same. His ideals in life and in AIESEC are straightforward and simple and they possess the clarity, any leader of today requires. His passion towards bringing a change is something I have always admired about him, and that is something this Local Committee requires and will get if the right choice is made. He is Passionate about AIESEC and the difference it can make to the world around us and I am forever by his side to support this vision and aid it in any way possible. AIESEC Chennai has seen great leaders. What we need now, is a revolutionary leader. One who can respect the past and learn from the mistakes of others, and instill his passion for the organization into his team and their members and most importantly, bring AIESEC Chennai back to it’s former glory and take it to seemingly unimaginable heights. Kartik Bhatia is that revolutionary leader. I hereby endorse Kartik Bhatia’s candidature for the post of Local Committee President, 2012- 2013, AIESEC Chennai and wish him luck and God Speed in the same. Yours Sincerely, Juhi Sharma Vice President Communications and Information Management AIESEC Chennai 2011-2012

Dear President/AIESEC Chennai Subject: Letter of Endorsement of Mr. Kartik Bhatia for the Office of the Local Committee President of AIESEC Chennai 2012-13

I met Kartik at an LCM of AIESEC Chennai during my first Director Visit in Chennai. He was this shy and nervous senior member who came up to me and said “You are from the same city and school as me.” In my head I thought “Wow! And this is the best he could come up with to break ice with me.” Clearly I didn’t have a very good first impression. Then, I got the opportunity to meet this young AIESECer again whilst chairing the December LCong of AIESEC Chennai in year 2010 and that is when I saw the true colors of Mr. Bhatia. From jiving like a rockstar to holding that microphone and owning the audience and their attention, as he elongated and intensified its span, made me profoundly believe that this guy from Jaipur was so meant to be there. I have only heard good, pure, positive and motivating stories about Kartik, which is a great achievement for an AIESECer amongst a community with diverse backgrounds, mindsets and perceptions. He made this young mix look homogenous to me – The young mix called AIESEC Chennai. I credit the great success of AIESEC Chennai in the year 2011 and 2012 to leaders like Kartik, who have an undiluted passion and undisputed commitment for this Local Committee. After leaving the organization, with a great bond of affection, concern and love for AIESEC Chennai, I was convinced that people like him will take AIESEC Chennai to the Zone-Unknown beyond 2010. As a team leader he did a brilliant job in the year 2010 contributing to exchange by his performance and his experience. He was awarded with the “Dual Experience award” for his allround contribution to AIESEC Chennai. He also had a successful Vice President Term. He led an Organizing Committee for a very successful Y2B, enabled his department to win Best Del at JLC 2011, did almost twice as many exchanges as last year being the only VP TN and helped AIESEC Chennai nurture, develop and retain talent by his leadership in his department. A few days back, he told me about his conviction for AIESEC Chennai that has inspired him to take the most courageous decision of applying for “Best job in the world”. It honestly made me elated and I took a sigh of relief as I am convinced of his sincerity, diligence, discipline, commitment and passion for a Local Committee that I immensely care for. Hence, with no doubts in my mind about this decision and, in no influence, whatsoever, I wish him all the best as he makes his way to the lonely and selfless journey of Leadership, Commitment and Passion for AIESEC Chennai. I endorse his candidature for the office of the Local Committee President of AIESEC Chennai for the year 2012-13.
