Dear reader, If you are opening this application with a feeling of determination, fear, insecurity and doubts, I humbly congratulate you for already having taken your first steps towards applying to become the next leader of AESEC in Norway. I was once in the same position as you; dreaming for a better organization, reflecting about my own direction, and questioning myself and my capabilities. Leading AIESEC in Norway is, and will always be, a privilege that will challenge you beyond any other position you have held. As MCP, you are responsible for building upon 70 years of legacy through developing your people, a promise that demands a lot of humility, courage and resilience day in and out. As challenging as it might sound, it is also what makes the experience a powerful, rewarding and purposeful journey. MCP JOB DESCRIPTION


PLANNING - Organize the process of planning, - Build and implement tracking systems and decision making processes, - Track, review and coach MCVPs on the strategic plan, - Support on budgeting and financial decision making.

TEAM MANAGEMENT - Build and implement management tools and principles, - Organize and run MC Team Days, - Align and coordinate MCVPs during conferences and events, - Run MC weekly meetings, - Ensure all MCVPs have a correct plan and job description, - Deliver Team Standards to MCVP and LCPs

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT - Build relationship and negotiate with other MCPs about country partnerships, - Track organizational goals and indicators, - Ensure conferences are being used strategically, - Ensure alignment of MCVPs on the strategy for LC development and support,

GOVERNANCE

- Manage Board of Directors, send reports and implement outputs from BoD meetings, - Make compendium and operations to be in accordance to Norwegian laws and external factors, - Lead and manage National Executive Board (MCP + LCPs), - Deliver all requirements for Global Membership Criteria, - Ensure financial transparency to the network; - Call and hold National Legislation Meetings, implement motions as legislated;


MC LIFE AND CONDITIONS


- The MC lives in Oslo, the capital. Accommodation and utilities (water, electricity, internet, general cleaning products) are provided by the entity; you will probably have to share a bedroom, and help with the maintenance of the flat; - The MC office is currently 20-30 minutes from the flat (current office might need to be changed for the next generation); - You must bring your own computer/laptop; - The MC 1819 term starts on the 1st of August 2018 and finishes on the 31st of July 2019. Physical transition for the MCP-elect will take place latest from the 1st of June 2018. - The MC salary is around 5500,- NOK (depending on financial situation of the entity and current term performance – to be discussed with MCVP FIN 2018 and 2019); - International Conference (IPM 2018, PM Spring, IC 2018, PM Fall and IPM 2019) and national conferences will be covered by the entity as the MCP needs to represent the entity at ILMs (International Legislative Meetings);

PACKAGE CHECKLIST


PACKAGE CHECKLIST - Application Questionnaire: - Maximum 12 pages, cover and personality tests not included - All questions answered, in English - CV: maximum 1 page with external experiences only - Picture for announcement (in PNG) - Endorsement letters (signed and with person’s contact): - Someone you led - Someone who led you - A co-worker (current or previous) - Tests results: 16 Personalities, Barrett Values Centre Assessment and your latestLDA Results. - Video of maximum 3 minutes, with URL link in the questionnaire; Candidates are asked to make the process as fair as possible. Your application package and presentations should speak for themselves. You may speak to members of AIESEC in Norway for your process but you are asked not to promote yourself, nor criticise other candidates, under any circumstances. Violations from this ethical process are meant to be reported immediately to your MCP.

The application package must be sent to the current MCP, with all documents in PDF to: louis.repain@aiesec.no, by December 21st, 23:59 GMT+2. No application will be accepted if sent after the deadline, regardless of the reason.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGY 1. Design a SWOT analysis of the entity and then present how and when you will work with each point during your term. 2. What is your vision for the entity for the next term and what national focuses do your propose to achieve your vision? For each focus, specify what national strategies as well as initiatives you want to implement and the reason you want to do so. 3. What does the operational timeline look like, and which markets are the most relevant to tap into during the 18/19 term? How will you ensure that AIESEC in Norway increases its market share in those areas? 4. How will you ensure a strong leadership pipeline and financial sustainability? What evolutions do you see happening in the current business model of the MC? 5. How will you work together with the NEB to realize AIESEC in Norway’s potential? How do you want your MC members to work with the EB members in the network? 6. If you could solve only one thing during your term as MCP, what would it be and what will you do to solve it? 7. Please present the team structure you need and non-negotiable behaviors needed to deliver upon your above-mentioned answers. Make sure to include the JD and MoS for each role. 8..
