In the 2019-2020 term, the AIESEC Global Office undertook a research project on the business models of Global Talent and Global Entrepreneur, respec6vely AIESEC's oldest and youngest exchange programs. This research was mo6vated by ques6ons of program sustainability, market share, and value proposi6on differen6a6on between the two programs.
The research project posed the ques6on of how might we enable companies from different scales and industries to access youth talent marketplace and interact through a product that offers a unique value proposi 6 on in order to create diverse set of opportuni6es for youth to develop their professional career.

At the start of the research project, the value proposi6on of Global Talent was a cross-cultural professional experience for young people who seek to develop AIESEC's four leadership quali6es and their professional skills.
The value proposi6on of Global Entrepreneur was a cross-cultural startup experience for young people who seek to develop AIESEC's four leadership quali6es and their professional skills.
The outcome of the research determined that entrepreneurship is not a unique competency that youth can gain only in start-up environment and thus not exclusive to the Global Entrepreneur program. Therefore, it was determined that a more clear product differen6a6on for AIESEC's customers would be to have two professional internship programs with clear market di ff eren 6 a 6 on: Global Talent for business and engineering internships and Global Teacher for teaching internships.
By the end of 2020, Global Entrepreneur was officially no longer a part of the AIESEC poroolio and the three AIESEC exchange programs were Global Volunteer, Global Talent, and Global Entrepreneur.
