LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT We always have a choice, whether we want to do what we promised or we don’t want to. Obviously, it’s not easy to strive for what we vowed. It takes courage and determination. But after all that’s what make the difference. The extra step we take towards achieving what we promised, may take us to the success. This year, we decided to make a bold choice of going through a journey of achievements. As one entity, we chose not to give any apologies. This was the year about #NoExcuses The youth in Lithuania has a vital role to play for the nation. The country and the society is still going through a transformational phase from the independence in 1991. The social issues which Lithuania have are very different to the issues which are well known in the world or in Europe. Lithuania is in need of youth who can commit and take actions for the best of the country. This is the reason why I believe on the relevance of AIESEC in Lithuania and the leadership development we provide for youth through AIESEC. I have confidence in the leaders we develop have the courage, determination and skills what Lithuania is looking for right now. ha As an entity, growth was not an option for us this term. Through out the year, we took lot of initiatives to improve our operations and to provide the best experience for our customers. At the same time, as an organization we have to make sure we are sustainable. Ensuring financial sustainability was a main focus during the entire term. By understanding the importance of being efficient, we strived to make our processes faster and easier for the customers. This report will give you a glimpse of what we achieved in the term 17.18. Looking backward, I’m exceptionally proud of everything we’ve achieved and I’m honored to led the generation of #NoExcuses in AIESEC in Lithuania.

13
OUR ACTION We are a leadership development organization. We believe that leadership is the fundamental solution and it can be developed in anyone. AIESEC has three exchange products, namely Global Volunteer, Global Talent and Global Entrepreneur for any young person to choose to go on an exchange. After going through an experience with AIESEC, young people are better prepared to make a positive impact in any sphere they would choose.

INCOMING GLOBAL VOLUNTEER Incoming Global Volunteer (IGV), was the focus product of the national committee during this term. Through out the year, there were number of initiatives took place in the functional area. IGV started with culture creation and rewards and recognition tight with the #NoExcuses mindset. The challenge in the functional area was created, named “mexICAN Challenge” based on the goals of approvals from the Local Committees (LCs) giving as a result during winter a huge amount of approvals. During winter peak, the IGV functional area took the product “Atvira Lietuva” and developed a second brand for the projects “Open Lithuania” focused to attract Exchange Participants (EPs) to our social opportunities, creating value proposal for our entity partners and having as a result visuals and media (Posters on FB, booklets and searchtool) In the second semester, after the operation summit held in Romania, IGV started to create a strategy to align the timeline with OGX from Europe, accordingly IGV set the projects start date one week earlier. The functional area started to be more visible since it started to work on partnerships with Hong Kong, Mexico, Romania and Ukraine. Thanks to those cooperations IGV started to be faster, there were approvals made in less than 24 hours creating a sense of achievement in members and trust in the EPs. As well made IGV grew, since 50% of the results came from above international cooperations. Now AIESEC Lithuania is known and recognized for fast response that IGV had in its functional area. During the term IGV ran 11 projects in total with the 5 LCs involved. The sense of team was present during the whole term, having incredible cooperations within LCs, helping each other without actually competing in a bad sense, all of them wanted that all LCs succeeded in their projects/goals, having a mindset of unity, co-creating agenda together, delivering sessions, creating a regional IPS where LCs from the same city would gather all their EPs and deliver the seminar focused on the city needs, eliminating previous logistic problems (All committees going to the same city presented logistic problems like transportation accommodation and meals). The media coverage was present in IGV, which had the opportunity to have the national TV channel “LRT” to telecast a promo live coverage of our Global Village. The global village was developed by MC with the help of members from committees. There were exchange participants from 22 countries gathered in Lukiškių square in Vilnius showing the culture of all of them and promoting AIESEC to more than 300 external people during more than 2 hours of event.

INCOMING GLOBAL TALENT The vision for the Incoming Global Talent (iGT) functional area for the term 17.18 was to improve synergy between Business to Business (B2B) and Customer Experience (CXP) functional areas and switch to subproducts for IGT. Regarding the synergy, IGT was working on creating more touch points between the Vice Presidents and also Team Leaders and members. Working hours together, attending the meetings together, CXP final responsible for re-raises, CXP to have more leverage when it comes to signing the contracts with the company, CXP educations for B2B and weekly check ins between B2B and CXP were some of the initiatives took by IGT for the improvement of synergy. How However, all these ideas were taken to the implementation stage but not all of them were successful and brought measurable results. Most successful ones were making CXP final responsible for re-raises; Making CXP more involved into the decision on whether to sign the contract or not, CXP educations for B2B and visiting to the meetings together. Talking about the implementation of subproducts, process is still underway as we still lack talent in sales to be fully comfortable with new profiles. Overall this project already shows benefit as we can clearly see some contract getting matched quicker than usual contracts which AIESEC in Lithuania was working with from past.

INCOMING GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR The vision for IGE in term 17.18 was to make the adaptation of this product as fast as possible for AIESEC in Lithuania because IGE was a new booming product of AIESEC at the start of the term. The main initiatives were to create a clean and informative database of startups for sales area and create sufficient IGE knowledge in the entity. In order to make the implementation faster the functional area decided to start with IGE projects right away. There were lot of struggles with sales in the the winter project as access to startups is harder compared to regular companies, also few mistakes were made along the way with approving exchange participants and setting expectations with both exchange participants and start ups. In the end, when the winter project evaluation was taking place, the functional area managed to recognize the mistakes it made and come up with solutions in order to avoid these in the future. During the summer project IGE struggled with sales but managed to avoid other mistakes which was happening in the winter project. Expectation setting was getting improved, IGE managed to find more matchable profiles for the opportunities and overall processes were improved and smoother. Talking about the database and IGE knowledge, both of these initiatives were managed to achieve. Currently IGE has a rather clean and informative database which is getting bigger day by day. Right now in the entity there are 3 members who have at least the sufficient knowledge of the product, including a Local Committee Vice President who has a wider knowledge. Overall, IGE achieved all 3 of the main initiatives which enables the opportunity to keep improving with the processes and execution. IGE Partners with realizations of AIESEC in Lithuania

OUTGOING GLOBAL VOLUNTEER There were a few changes made in the area of Outgoing Global Volunteer (OGV) this term. To begin with, the number of LCs working with the product in the first semester was 2, with the start of the second semester one more LC was working with OGV again. That is to find the most optimal and beneficial way to collaborate and perform operations, the pooling of OGV (and Outgoing Exchange in general) was changed a few times. Also, to ensure the product sustainability and adjust to the current economic situation of Lithuania, pricing for the product was renewed in the first half of the year, contract for customers was reviewed and modified as well. During the term, OGV attraction shifted more to virtual promotion from the physical one, OGV started to work not only with university or college students, but also with students from last grades of high school who fit exchange participant criteria. In this year OGV was paying attention to the attraction through social media mostly Facebook and Instagram. The social media campaigns were run in both winter and summer peaks. During the winter peak the campaign was run with the tagline of “Experience The World, Develop Yourself”. Learning the importance and tips of digital marketing for OGV was one of the key learnings in this term. The OGV functional area also, participated in the global campaign #LiveTheExperience, During the term, OGV started to use the Intercom platform to get more connected with the customers and to provide specific support for them according to the need. Also, in the second semester OGV started the GDPR implementation in CRM, working processes and approach. OGV was working on collecting materials, testimonials and feedbacks from people who finished their volunteering projects to make sure that fitting improvements could be made in the functional area operations, was working towards improving the response rate of evaluating AIESEC experience. Through out the term, there was more focus on value delivery for the EPs and assurance of Standards as well as good experience and development for the person.

OUTGOING GLOBAL TALENT During the first semester of the term 17.18 only 2 LCs were running OGT as a product in the particular LCs. Starting the second semester, this was reduced again to one LC considering the demand for the product and the internal operational capability. Due to these circumstances, pooling of the product (and whole Outgoing Exchange functional area) was adjusted few times. In the first half of the year, pricing for the product was reviewed and then changed to match economy levels in Lithuania and ensure product sustainability. OGT was mostly investing into getting the knowledge how to work with the product properly and how to sell it. CRM was cleaned during the term and starting of second semester implementation of GDPR in the CRM, working processes began.

OUTGOING GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR OGE was not one of the focus products of AIESEC in Lithuania during the term 17.18. However, it was clear, the product itself is attractive for Lithuanians due to the value proposition it provides. During the term there were changes made in the pricing of the product to make it aligned with the realities of the country. In the second semester, two LCs started to work more with OGE and got to know the specifics. OGE also approached “Erasmus+” with the goal of collaborating and working together. The trying-out stage has started, with the possibility of further development for a successful collaboration.

My experience began with the OPS in my hometown, after which I came to Kaunas. From first moment, I was surrounded by amazing people! I met AIESECers and other EPs (8 people from 7 countries). We were shy, but participation in the IPS and activities helped us to become a team. Btw we spent our time together with people from other projects and it was so cool! The first week was preparatory, we had Global Village - it was so nice to meet new people from all over the world and share our cultures! I took part in two projects. First one is "Kaunas 2022". I worked together with the girl from the USA, our task was to collect little-known but important cultural, historical information about Kaunas and districts, develop a strategy for making these places more attractive for visiting. After that, we all participated in the "International Youth Summer Camp 100 FIRST TIMES". The main goal was to help Kaunas become the cultural capital of Europe. The second one – «The Asphalt Project». It was camp for teenagers. We had lots of tasks: give for children knowledge about different kinds of Art, organize cross cultural exchange, create sessions for exploring and expressing themselves, etc. It was hard. We had lots of meetings, sometimes we discussed all this till midnight, but it was worth it! It was amazing to watch how our children changed, became one team, more open, communicate, share more. But we changed too. I got an amazing experience of leadership, public speaking, teamwork, finding solutions... I knew that my team with me and they will always support me and give sincere feedback. The final point of our project was huge graffiti on the wall. Flying balloons with flags of different countries - symbol of freedom. Real teamwork! We became one family, spending all free time together and it was hard to realize that the project finished and we should come back to home. There were many emotions, smiles and tears. I wanted to stay a little bit longer and AIESECers hosted me. During that time we had fun together and traveled. It was amazing! Now I’m at home but still I thinking about my experience. This project empowered me and I don’t know why, but I feel that I can change this world, make it better. I guess I’ll join AIESEC in Ukraine. Time for action is now!

This trip was so unexpected yet wonderful life experience which I will be remembering for a long time. I went to Seoul, South Korea on the 2nd of January, 2018. I didn’t know what I was doing actually. At the first step out of the plane I wanted to turn around and return to where I had come from. I finally did it. I am here… I am finally in one of the countries I always wanted to go to’. This thought made me so excited and happy. Talking about the project, weeks passed by, as I didn’t know Korean that well, I didn’t know what the kids were saying. But from others, I heard they weren’t really happy with the situation they were in. Kind of made to be here with some strangers. But in few days, they started to open up. They started to use simple Korean and speak with us without any AIESEC members. This way it was better connection between us and them. With some of the kids, I have contacts even now and we are talking in short small dialogues. It is wonderful feeling. You don’t know the culture or language too well, but there is connection that can’t ca be explained. The project itself is like a delight work-holidays that can’t be explained by words. It is just there. The feelings and memories that you never want to forget or ever see them vanish out of your phone gallery. Whoever thinks that is worthless, just because it isn’t paid by anyone, you have to work to get the money and everything, think… what it is actually for you? In your life experience, in what you can learn from other people, what they can learn from you. This is what should be keeping you on going. Not material things as money that can be lost but emotions that actually lasts forever.
