What is The Global Leader program involves practical team experience that develops leadership abilities by running a global organization. It provides a platform for you to apply your university education in a practical experience whilst increasing global awareness and cultural understanding. Leadership opportunities spread across the globe involving not only running AIESEC locally, regionally, nationally and at a global scale, but also opportunities to coach soft and functional skills in multiple conferences and activities each year. [In the program, you will first join AIESEC in SMU as a team member within a portfolio, opening up further opportunities to build your leadership journey.]

Testimonials Q:How has AIESEC helped develop or shaped you? How have you value-added to society? ! My AIESEC experience started off with me being an exchange participant to Slovakia as part of a project called "Educate Slovakia" to share my local culture with the students there. I joined AIESEC as a Talent Management Member upon returning from my Global Citizen Development Programme as I felt inspired to provide the same quality experience for youths out there. I then stepped up to take on the role as Vice President Talent Management in my 2nd year in AIESEC. I would strongly encourage youths like you to challenge yourself and join AIESEC to develop your potential and be the change you want to see in the world!! !

Lek Kai Jia, AIESECer since 2014

Q: What is the greatest takeaway of your AIESEC experience and any words of advice for the youths of today. My AIESEC journey has been about stepping out of my comfort zone and seizing opportunities within the organisation, which are plentiful. From volunteering abroad to supporting local enterprises to organising international youth conferences, the unique experiences that AIESEC gave me were endless. Along the way, I honed my leadership, communication and analytical skills. However, I think my greatest takeaway from the two years I spent in AIESEC is indubitably the enterprising attitude it inculcated in me. Along with the other 70,000 AIESECers worldwide, I am ready to step up, step out and stand out to make a difference.! Michael Wongsosaputro, AIESECer since 2013

FAQ What is the workload for Global Leader Programme (TMP/TLP)?
Depending on your role in your department, you are expected to work on average 5-10 hours per week. We believe in receiving more when you do more. Thus when you take up more opportunities, you also gain much more learning experiences. ! I read on the website that Global Leader Programme offers international experiences. How exactly does this work? ! For TMP/TLP, a member of AIESEC has the exclusive opportunity to get to know and interact with other AIESECers in NTU, NUS and SIM. In addition, there are many international conferences opportunities for our members to interact with like- minded youths around the world, thereby expanding their network. ! Can I just join Global Leader Programme without the Global Citizen Programme? As our TMP/TLP members are mainly in charge of managing the Global Citizen Programme, it is important that our members go through the programme themselves. Hence, it is not possible to only join TMP/TLP without going on the Global Citizen Programme. Global Leader and Global Citizen Programme come as a package. AIESEC believes that to develop entrepreneurial and responsible young leaders, they need to have a global perspective towards current affairs. ! ! How much do I have to pay to join Global Leader Programme?
You will be only paying for the Global Citizen Programme. Global Leader programme requires no cost. !

Our expectations As a member of AIESEC there will be the following commitments: Time Commitment: Minimum commitment including: 1.  Bi-Monthly Local Committee Meetings on Friday 2.  Team Meetings per week 3.  Engagement with AIESEC events and recruitment drive throughout the year (variable) 4.  AIESEC Outing Conferences: AIESEC Singapore Jumpstart Conference 12 – 13th September AIESEC National Leadership Development Conference 11 – 15th December *International conferences are available all year round as well!
