Best Whey Protein Producer 2017
Arla Foods Ingredients Group is a 100% owned subsidiary of Arla Foods, a global dairy company and cooperative with more than 12.600 dairy farmers in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland and the UK. We profile the firm to explore the secrets behind its success. The firm offers a wide range of international household name brands including Lurpak, Skyr, Castello and Puck. Established in 2000, Arla Foods Ingredients has since grown into a global leader in natural ingredients. The firm provides whey products which are used in a number of products including sports, clinical and infant nutrition, beverages, dairy products, baking and ice creams.
healthy diet; it is all about how you combine them and the amount you eat. Therefore, the firm places immense importance on maintaining the highest nutritional value of the milk processing it, ensuring that its products are safe to eat and drink once they reach their consumers.
Recently Arla Foods Ingredients opened a new Hydrolysed protein factory in Denmark; the facility is Kosher and Halal certified with the capacity to produce 4,000 tons / year, following the same traditional quality procedures as the firm’s other premises, ensuring no animals are treated with growth hormones. This new facility will pave the way for a bright and exciting future as Arla Foods Ingredients seeks to grow even further and build upon its current success. In the firm’s Argentine factory, the investments focus heavily on functional milk proteins that guarantee leadership in the growing dairy market in the region. The Porteña plant in Córdoba, Argentina, is one of the most modern in the group, with state-of-the-art technology and with capacity to process 3,300 tons/ day of whey.
Many dairy products are very good calcium sources. Calcium is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children. For adults calcium is needed for maintenance of bone mass. Alongside this, milk fat is naturally high in vitamin A - vitamin A deficiency is widespread in developing countries - vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. Arla Foods Ingredients is constantly seeking to stress these benefits as it seeks to build upon its current success and provide even more clients with a healthy option. Healthy eating is important for everyone to live longer, balance weight and reduce the risk of lifestyle diseases. However, wholesome meals are increasingly replaced by highly processed foods that are low in nutrients and high in sugar, fat and salt and do not meet dietary recommendations. This has huge consequence for public health.
The main protein product for South America is Whey Protein Concentrate, a protein concentrate of milk, with 80% minimum protein. This is considered the gold standard for sport and clinical nutrition. It is recognized for its high quality nutritional and rapid body absorption, offering superior content of BCAAs (essential amino acids of the branched chain) that makes it perfect for building and improving muscle, optimizing recovery after exercise, and improving performance. The pillars of the company’s success are innovative ingredients, facilities that use the most modern technology and a team of dedicated specialists committed to providing the very highest standards of service.
The more clients know about nutrition, food, cooking and how to balance their diets, the better they will be able to make healthy choices for themselves and their families. As such, Arla Foods Ingredients seeks to champion good food habits and inspire a healthy life. A healthy daily diet leaves room for the occasional indulgence, which is also part of a good life.
As a business, Arla believes that milk is nature’s most unique food. It is the first drink anyone ever has and it can be a part of a healthy diet throughout everyone’s life although Arla also believes that no single food is healthy or unhealthy. Instead, balance is necessary to ensure a
Through Arla’s wide collection of online recipes, on-pack information, collaboration with retail customers, inspirational events and educational programmes, the firm is able share its knowledge of what is good to eat and how to prepare a healthy breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner.

The company was also partner for the Swedish Olympic Committee to promote milk as Nature’s Own Sportsdrink, including Olympic Days event, where children meet Olympic athletes and try different sports, and other partnership with various sports events across the country. In Brazil, Arla Foods Ingredients is proud to be sponsorship as Ambassador of Lacprodan® HYDRO.365, an extensively hydrolysate whey protein, the Ultramarathonist Marcio Villar, world record in long-distance races. Alongside a commitment to nutrition and health in its clients, Arla is dedicated to acting socially responsibly in order to ensure a sustainable future for our planet. The firm works with suppliers from all over the world and they have major impact on the firm’s quality and ethical sustainability commitments. Arla expects its suppliers to acknowledge their social and environmental responsibilities in order to it meet its aim of purchasing goods and services in a sustainable way. Thus, Arla strives to ensure that its suppliers are willing to comply with the requirements set out in its Code of Conduct. Key suppliers are contractually bound to meet its requirements. The firm evaluates and follows up on their ability to comply with Arla’s requirements. It also requires that all employees are aware of, and follow, Arla’s procurement conduct guidelines and understand the need for ethical behaviour. Overall, Arla’s business strategy rests on a solid foundation; its mission, identity and vision. These all serve as an operational guide to how Arla, as a business, aims to create value for its farmer owners towards 2020 by seeking to develop its role as a global food company that adds value to people’s lives through natural nutrition and responsible operations. To achieve this, Arla Foods Ingredients Group have matched its strengths in the dairy categories to the consumer needs it sees globally. Better Healthcare Decisions in Brazil Best Healthcare IT & IS R&D Initiative 2017 winner, The GESITI-Hospital Project from CTI Renato Archer institution, tells us all about their latest research and how they are aiming to improve the healthcare sector across Brazil and abroad.
T
Projections for the Future The main expected results are split in two approaches: Region or niche: the region chosen for analysis of the IS and IT management in hospitals are from Local Coordinator responsibility as it is the generation of the LRR. The Local result of the analyses (Local means application of the questionnaire in at least five (5) hospitals in the region surveyed) may be used for local decisions making [01]. Integrated results: these results deal with an integrated analysis from all regions surveyed (the integration of all LRR). The goal is to reach about one hundred universities (local coordinators) committed with the PQ application for a best IRR generation. These hundred universities as scheduled within the following proposal goal:
he Project GESITI/Hospital, presented in the event “The 10th International Multi-Conference on Society, Cybernetics and Informatics: IMSCI/2016/USA”, was published in the proceedings of the event –which is indexed by Elsevier’s SCOPUS [01]. The presentation was selected among the best 20%25% from the conference, for attributes including originality, novelty, innovation, relevance, appropriateness, significance, quality, and presentation. Further to this, it was selected as the best from the Conference and has been invited to be republished in the Journal of Systemic, Cybernetics and Informatics. On the back of this invitation, a further research project will be carried out. “Management of System and Information Technology in Hospitals” has been designed with the purpose of mapping out the management of Information Systems and Information Technology in hospitals. By applying an original multifocal prospective questionnaire in hospitals, the research aims to identify the hospitals needs and demands. To enable the company to generate a public integrated research report for supporting public and/or private decisions-makings. The ultimate aim for this project is to see a significant improvement on the hospital management and in decisions-making, which will be reflected in the satisfaction of patients receiving better healthcare as a result.
a) - by the year 2020 the goal is to have up to 50 participating institutions; b) - by the year 2023 the goal is to have 60 participating institutions and, c) - by 2030 the goal is to reach 100 participating institutions. Regarding the IRR, it is strategic since it will facilitate the public and/ or private managers to make a more comprehensive and assertive decision regarding hospitals management. The main aim is to bring timely and integrated qualified information to the public and or private hospital managers. The great merit of this project is expected to be an IRR document as a source for decision-making support for public and or private managers interested in the theme.
Research Methodology The methodology used by the GESITI/Hospital project will be introspective or interpretive. The tool used to analyse hospitals will be a multi-focus PQ questionnaire, aimed at hospital management. From 2010-16 the “methodology and PQ” have been implemented by about forty 40 universities from Brazil and Abroad [01].

The IRR is based on Local Research Reports -LRR- developed by each of forty of the universities engaged in the project. From each LRR it becomes possible to undertake local decision-making regarding hospital management. However, the main purpose of the project is the preparation, based on the integration of all LRR, of a full IRR –with comparative analyses among all Brazilian and Abroad participants, for nationwide decision-making support.

Best Wholesale Banking Technology Company 2017
CPQi is a Fintech firm with an exclusive focus in capital market technology services. We caught up with Giovano Pires to find out more.
Based in Brazil, CPQi was formed in 2007 to build, implement and support financial markets systems in the leading American economies. Operating in seven countries, the firm have had the privilege of supporting 5 of the world’s top 10 banks as well as many other major regional players in Brazil, Latin American and in the USA. The firm has a strong focus on supporting its clients and providing them with the solutions they need to succeed, and this starts from the very beginning of every project, as Giovano explains.
so well positioned in this space that it has seen a 40% increase in its North American revenues in 2016 alone, and, looking ahead, Giovano foresees even greater success, as he proudly concludes. “Over the last 10 years CPQi has seen a substantial shift in the Brazilian market landscape, however our reasons for adopting the country as our home base remain strong. During the great economic crisis of 2008/2009, Brazil continued to grow and our original goal of being a pure offshore player was altered to explore the local market. So successful was this strategy that even today CPQi has almost 45% of our revenues from Brazil. However, as Brazil has entered its own economic slowdown, CPQi has refocused on our goal of exporting the highly skilled Brazilian technology capability to other markets. For that reason, we established ourselves in the North Eastern city of Fortaleza where the cost base, level of loyalty and skills from major universities provide us with a highly attractive workforce.
“At CPQi, our client focused approach starts as soon as we consider each assignment, as it is essential to us that we believe in the joint partnership for success and not simply a supplier/ buyer relationship. The implementation of a major trading and risk platform is a multiyear journey that requires maturity from both parties. It also needs clear acceptance of the individual and collective responsibilities for delivery. As we engage with a new client we enjoy spending considerable time with the key players to ensure we will work well together and are all fully committed to success.”
“Ultimately, banking capital markets always act with a sense of urgency and CPQi is no different. We have worked hard to ensure our culture is able to meet that of our market and this is done through education programs, client visits and regular corporate communication. However, it is appropriate that success is rewarded and we believe strongly in a meritocracy where performance, loyalty and education are strongly recognized within the company. Moving forward, with an exceptional track record, operations in seven countries and such a high level of quality, CPQi is looking forward to the future with anticipation. Our continued expansion into the substantial North American market, growth in Chile and Argentina as well as consolidation of our resources in Brazil leads us to expect over 20% growth each year for the next three years.”
Overall, the global financial markets are always changing and the variations are based on regions. Having seen a strong period of growth, CPQI’s home market in Brazil is now passing through a period of cost control where the firm’s nearshore centre in the Northeast of the country is able to support its clients in their revised financial objectives. Other markets in Latin America such as Chile and Argentina are continuing their journey into the adoption of modern global trading and risk platforms where CPQI’s local presence and cost models offer them an exceptional cost/quality balance. For North America, the company see regulatory cost increasing and this in turn drives two markets: the need for regulatory staff and the need to reduce expenditure elsewhere in order to meet the new regulatory spend requirements.
