Over Half Of The UK’s Workforce Want More Best Regional Economic Help From Employers With FinancialSouth Planning Wales Credu Charity
Heidi Allan, head of employee wellbeing at Neyber, said: “In the past, many businesses have been reluctant to get involved with financial education for employees – due to concerns
this could be seen as intrusive or unwelcome. What our research clearly shows is that most people want more help. Employers need to stop thinking of employees’ finances as a taboo subject and look at new ways to guide them - whether that’s providing information, education, or products and services which help staff manage their finances.” Helping employees better manage their finances is a win-win for businesses. When employees worry about money it can lead to stress, mental health issues and extended absences from work. In fact, financial
stress costs UK businesses £120.7 billion ever year.
But 39 per cent of those surveyed said that they would value savings benefits if they were provided.

More than half of Britain’s workforce (55 per cent) want employers to help with financial planning, new research from Neyber has found. Younger staff in particular are keen to get more support from the businesses they work for. Over 72 per cent of 18-34 year olds said they would value financial planning information and help. By contrast, just 25 per cent of those who were 65 and older wanted help.
40 Per Cent Of MidMarket TMT Firms Feel ‘No Deal’ Brexit Will Boost Revenues

This project would not be possible without their support. Additionally, the staff of Credu are the real driving force behind its success. A team of dedicated individuals who have really bought into the ethos of the organisation and go above and beyond their job roles. Going forward, Credu is looking at opportunities which will provide further economic regeneration and employment. These developments will ensure the charity’s ongoing success over the years to come.
A further 31 per cent of TMT firms view exiting the EU, having failed to negotiate a deal, will have no effect on their future turnover. Just 20 per cent feel it will harm revenues. 4 per cent believe it would have a catastrophic effect. This compared to 45 per cent of leaders in financial services and 43 per cent in construction seeing the most potential to benefit from a ‘no deal’ scenario. Conversely the consumer sector (35 per cent) see it as the most harmful. David Blacher, partner and national head of TMT at RSM said: ‘Mid-market TMT firms continue to be optimistic about their future prospects, despite continuing market uncertainty. Whilst that confidence is understandable considering how well the sector has performed, coupled with its future growth prospects, it is perhaps surprising how bullish they are when it comes to the effects of a ‘no deal’ Brexit. One of the
reasons for this could be down to their view that come what may, a sector with such high growth potential, coupled with their ability to be agile, can offset the impending challenges and better adapt to the new environment. ‘What is of greater concern to TMT firms is the ever more challenging search for talent, both into London and the UK regions, as well as into more traditional overseas outsourcing locations. The status quo on recruiting and retaining talent continues to worsen. We’re seeing firms looking further afield into lesser known overseas locations in their bid to bridge that gap.’ The quarterly Brexit Monitor, conducted by YouGov prior to the EU leaders meeting in Salzburg on 19/20 September 2018, surveyed 325 mid-market business leaders, 51 of which operate in the TMT sector. David Blacher adds: ‘All eyes will now be on the EU summit in midOctober, described by Donald Tusk as ‘the moment of truth’. Many businesses will be hoping for some much-needed progress from both the EU and the UK.’

Cote Brasserie
Best French Dining Drawing on more than 10 years’ experience in the restaurant market, Côte Brasserie is David Scott to tell us more. With its first restaurant opened in 2007, Côte brand was born from a genuine passion for French cuisine and the desire to bring true hospitality to the forefront of its service. David explores how the brand’s success has been driven by a true passion for fine food and exceptional hospitality.
“Here at Côte, our food is inspired by the brasseries of Paris, and as such we serve authentic French dishes, breakfast through to dinner in our classically designed restaurants. From the classic Steak Frites, chargrilled corn-fed Breton Chicken to our house speciality, Crème Caramel, we are committed to providing
freshly cooked to order menus, from the highest quality sourced ingredients. We are also proud to be accredited by Coeliac UK and have a dedicated gluten free menu as well as a vegetarian menu to offer our guests. “Our first restaurant was opened more than ten years ago, and since then we have seen the industry change, with guests having more variety and choice they have ever had. While we have also grown, we have stayed true to what makes Côte the brand it is today; passionate people delivering great service and food consistently, it’s that simple.” To ensure that guests receive an exceptional level of service every time they visit, Côte has a
supportive, family culture, which David explores in more detail.
“Internally, Côte is like a family and we support and encourage our people with great career development programmes to help them progress. Many of our Managers and Head Chefs today, started as waiters or junior chefs and have worked their way up. We believe knowledge is key to delivering great service and we are lucky that our teams are genuinely passionate about food and wine and want to learn, this consequently has a positive effect on our guests dining experience.” The Côte at Cardiff has enjoyed a roaring trade since inception, and David has noticed many trends unique to the region which he is eager to share with our readers.
“An increase in the breakfast trade is trending across all of our restaurants, but especially in Wales, whether this is due to the
media endorsement of ‘Brunch’ as a trendy thing to do with friends, especially during the weekend. The same care and attention to detail applies to Côte’s breakfast menus, with the renowned Eggs Florentine with homemade Hollandaise served until midday on weekdays and, for a long lazy breakfast, until 1pm at weekends. We also see a continued demand for our value for money set menu which we change on a monthly basis. Cardiff as a city is growing and there are more sporting and music events each year that certainly help to promote the city and drive guests to dine with us. Visit Wales certainly does a great job in marketing the city and what it has to offer.” Looking ahead, Côte will continue to deliver the same exceptional level of service and delicious food that has come to characterise its brand over the past ten years, and will hopefully characterise it for many more.
