Inspired partnerships

Aiglon has partnered with Manchester City Football Club to provide our students with a world leading football programme that aims to develop all of our students as people and as footballers.

Manchester City Football Club offers a unique programme that looks to both improve an individual’s football skills and instil the benefits of team sport, leadership skills, passion, motivation and an appreciation of nutrition and personal development. By joining together, we look forward to providing our students with a unique programme to both develop their football skills and a deeper appreciation for holistic life skills.

The partnership provides full-time coaching by a Manchester City Football Club coach and extensive coaching sessions for Aiglon students. The new football programme will see students coached in City’s unique playing style which has achieved global success and iconic silverware in English domestic competitions.

The Manchester City Football School begins in the school’s 2023 autumn term. The programme will commence with a curriculum offering for existing students and will include after-school and holiday clinics for the wider community.

A range of trips to clubs and training grounds around the world; internships for Aiglon students; entrance to international football competitions; visits to the school from past players and trophies; education for Aiglon’s coaching staff; opportunities for wider non-football related work experience and leadership training in areas such as media, journalism, and business, are also part of the partnership.

Aiglon is the only school in Europe to establish this type of partnership with Manchester City. It is a real opportunity to develop a world class football programme with the rigour and dedication to excellence that is at the heart of our approach. We are really impressed with Manchester City for their work at the intersection of football and holistic education to create unique learning opportunities.
