AUTUMN WINTER 17.18 Titles. Static shot of the autumn winter 1718 season. Welcome to the city of True Denim. In its streets you will explore the denim of yesterday, today and tomorrow, through a season based on the ideas of movement and change. A season magnifying imperfections and anomalies, with indigo as the guest star, integrating the differences seen in a changing reality, that is the story of True Denim. We let our curiosity tap into the roots, receive its knowledge and turn a corner into the inspiration of tomorrow.

THE ANACHROMIX Launderette. False connections. Making the past and future coexist in one piece, clever anachronisms and flashbacks, seeking a new harmony in diversity. Inventing wild, offbeat fantasy for everyday. Giving in to mockery and lightheartedness, cultivating an unbridled opulence, playing with surprising dissonance.

THE CRAFTERS In a tailor shop, a tracking shot spotlights exuberant craftsmanship that shakes up the lines of creative pragmatism. Images become artificial, virtuality overtakes reality and inspires new designs for new bodies and a new standard of beauty. It’s about cultivating savoir-faire and quality, searching for a balance between aesthetics and functionality, and improvising a seductively elegant makeover.

PAX CULTURA – TRUE PEACE THROUGH CULTURE
Red Button (TR) – B32
Peace through Culture 15 April, 1935 - Nicholas Roerich founds a pact between the United States and Latin American nations with the purpose of protecting cultural and historical institutions during peace and war times. The motto of said pact is Pax Cultura, meaning Peace through Culture or Cultural Peace.
Inspired by this motto and in light of the current world events, Red Button’s AW18 collection is inspired by Pax Cultura and the mission to use culture for the greater good. The circle in the design represents the totality of culture encompassing the past, present and the future. The three dots represent Art, Science and Religion; three of the most embracing human cultural activities. The collection symbolizes solidarity against the destruction of life and

property, and signalises the maintenance of our continued existence. The buttons and accessories in this collection reflect diversity in terms of culture, ritual and language - the things that make this world more beautiful - and deliver the message that we should embrace everything as it may encounter. Inspired by Pax Cultura, Red Button’s latest collection for the denim industry addresses respect for human beings through a common and sincere language: peace.

Kilim Denim presents a brand new collection that takes us back to 1986; the company’s establishment year. All images of the 1986 collection evoke the taste of those years with today’s fashion approach. Kilimdenkm manufactures rigid and rigid-looking comfort stretch fabrics in heavy and medium ounces. The finishes are specifically designed to not distort the purest and most natural state of the indigo color. Different designs clearly refer to denim fashion trends of 1986. The special washing is designed as a tribute to the most original state of denim and to celebrate Kilim Denim’s birthday!

NDL is proud to introduce a highlight in Barcelona: Note De L’Auteur. It is a capsule collection of premium fabrics developed by denim legend François Girbaud. The future oriented ‘denim scientist’ has been devoting his time and expertise to water-saving technologies. The name François Girbaud represents a seal of quality in the denim world and more than once his innovative, forward-thinking innovations have triggered a blue revolution. Sustainability, fit and construction play the lead in Note De L’Auteur. The advanced capsule collection follows two main development directions: the premium denims intended for laser treatment, with effects and finishings never seen before, and the high-quality stretch fabrics that re-establish the nearly lost practice of constructing garments with innovative and precise cuts. WARP your mind and don’t miss your rendezvous with the author of Note De L’Auteur… by appointment only.

WHAT DEFINES THE “SOUL” OF TRUE DENIM FOR YOU? When the blue indigo fade out, the true soul arise. A denim garment reflects the life, the good and bad choices of his owner: in one word the people soul. Just like all good things, denim gets better through ageing.
WHAT PURE EMOTIONS CAN YOU FIND IN DENIM THESE DAYS? © A14 Denim by Akozbekler

A14 Denim by Akozbekler (TR) - B23
ORIGINAL DENIM FABRIC SINCE 1948
A14 Denim, specialist in full garment production, is presenting its latest collection, including denim, non-denim, shirts and jackets. In this collection the focus is on raw looks with frayed edges and unfinished seams to create luxury grunge styles. Military looks with exaggerated utilitarian details are key items. Black denims are washed out to create vintage and grunge looks. Black is treated like indigo and updated with tonal patches and repairs.
Denim has an unique history behind. It is good to any situation, formal or informal, make you comfortable everywhere, on work or in your free time. A pair of jeans is in the everyone’s wardrobe, no matter your age, sex, culture, country. If there is something out there, probably it is wearing a pair of jeans.
WHAT PART OF YOUR WORK MAKES YOU MOST PROUD? Improve continuously, create an innovation where it is most difficult, like in little accessories or metal trims. Sometimes the small details are ignored from the majority, but they really make the difference for the insiders. Denim Première Vision is the right occasion to talk about the history behind an item, a production heritage, old techniques that may be even better than current ones ...no way to find such of information in books.
WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO MAKE A HIGH QUALITY METAL BUTTON? In simple words: we make metal trims, thinking the best for the garments on which they will be applied on. A metal part has usually three targets: achieve an easy usability of the clothes, reinforce them to make them long-lasting, and not last, embellish the final picture. More than this, we design buttons starting from a true inspiration to give them authenticity, we find solutions to minimize the impact for the environment, developing safe items with an easy attachment process. Little parts, big difference!

W Denim and Jeanologia join forces for an ecocapsule denim collection. Both companies are pioneers in techniques and practices reducing water use, chemicals and energy. The Light & Atmosphere collection has been powered by Jeanologia’s laser and ozone Dynamic technologies. The W Denim fabrics have been engraved with the continued Laser Dynamic. After the treatment, the fabrics have been washed with Jeanologia Ozone Dynamic technology, thus reducing up to 60% of conventional water use.
Jeanologia Division director Patrick Wendt: “What matters is not only the product itself, but also how it is produced, that is part of the DNA of the product.” Light & Atmosphere fabrics drastically reduce or even eliminate the use of chemicals in the garment laundry process. It is a new technology that offers a sustainable way for fashion finishes. The collection is a genuine indigo collection. It is trendy and casual and at the same time ecological; protecting the workers and the environment.
CIRCULAR STRETCH WITH AN AUTHENTIC LOOK
Calik Denim (TR) – C14
Circular Elastech offers multangular movement and natural flexibility. It’s powered by the exclusive Calik Elastech technology that uses Dualcore in both the warp and weft. With this technology the end-users will enjoy super stretchy jeans that keep shape, hereby negating the bagand-sag-effect that ‘s traditionally associated with high stretch fabrics. ‘Holding Power’ is best provided by circular stretch constructions that hold the body and show a graceful
figure. However, regular bi-stretch fabrics have a natural tendency to grow in the seat and knee areas after a repeated wear cycle. Circular Elastech gives a genuine full range of motion, while conforming to the body and maximize freedom of movement. ‘Double Elastech effect’ is a self-control stretch fabric that helps avoid size differences and is created by consistent shrinkage during the process of garment making and laundering. Circular stretch offers total body mobility.

WHAT WILL BE THE NEXT REVOLUTION IN DENIM WASHING? No water! No chemical! It was utopia 10 years before.
