«Thirsty air» needs the active addition of water to prevent it from drawing the moisture needed by our mucous membranes, skin, plants and wooden objects. Heated rooms at our latitudes produce over-dry air, especially in winter – because the colder the air is, the less moisture it can hold. That’s why at outdoor temperatures around the freezing point, the relative humidity indoors drops markedly – often to less than 20 %! Ideally treated indoor air should therefore not only be cleaned, but ideally humidified at the same time. We perceive a humidity of 40 – 60 % as ideal. This is also recommended by medical experts.

The steam humidifier system heats water to the boiling point and the generated steam humidifies the indoor air. Steam humidifiers have a very high performance. This is the most hygienic kind of air humidification, because boiling the water guarantees a bacteria- and mineral-free humidification, regardless of the quality and mineral content of the water. The Air Washers humidify and clean the air without the need for filter mats. Specially textured humidification discs turn in the water, which adds moisture to the air. The water acts as a natural filter, which cleans the air of impurities (e.g. dust, pollen and particlebound odours). The self-regulating evaporation principle ensures the correct humidity in the room, as the air automatically draws as much moisture as it needs at any given moment. Air Washers can be used all year round and are especially suited for allergy sufferers, due to their natural cleaning principle, without the need for additives.

Modern touch panel and extended functions characterize the classic designed Air Washer. The special cleaning mode lets the humidifier discs and the water base be cleaned easily and comfortably. In the decalcification phase, only the humidifier discs rotate and the fan remains shut off, so that no humidification takes place. The convenient reminder function indicates when the device needs maintenance, be that due to low water level, need for cleaning or ISS replacement. For an optimal air climate, the air humidity can be controlled at «the push of a button» thanks to the integrated hygrostat. Thanks to pre-ionisation, the air is efficiently cleaned of impurities such as dust, pollen and particle-bound odours. The quiet, self-regulating principle of evaporation involves a fan drawing the dry indoor air through a floating evaporator mat, which fills itself with water and recirculates the air into the room with an ideal level of humidity. Besides the humidification process, the air is simultaneously washed and cleaned of dust and dirt particles. Almost constant humidification is guaranteed, whatever the water level.

Thanks to effective high-frequency technology, the water is converted into a micro-fine mist and given off to the indoor air by a fan. The powerful demineralisation cartridge provides water mist without limescale. The Ionic Silver Stick (ISS) keeps the water fresh and inhibits microbial growth. The low-noise appliances have a very high level of humidification, which can be individually regulated by an output control. As the room temperature can fall slightly as the mist evaporates, most ultrasonic humidifiers can be set to give off cool or warm humidification at the press of a button.
