We have great weekends of fun planned for you at the Night Swan Intracoastal Bed & Breakfast during the month of December! Start off Friday, the 3rd with Light Up Flagler and Norwood's Wine Festival. On Saturday, the 4th, we have the Annual Boat Parade, the Annual Christmas Parade and the Images Tour of Homes! The following week, we have the Classic Car Show, then a tour and taste of the area B&B's, and a Holiday Open House on Sunday at the Canaveral National Seashore! Light up Flagler Event Happens: Dec 03, 2010 (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM) The annual New Smyrna Beach beachside business district holiday celebration! Presented by the Merchants of Flagler Avenue, most merchants will have an open house at their place of business, serving refreshments, and many will be decorated for the season. Merchants will be competing for "best window display" and "best building." There will be lots of live entertainment on the avenue!
Flagler Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from Peninsula Avenue to Atlantic Avenue (just west of the Beacon Restaurant) from 5-8 p.m. Info: 386.427.2256. 23rd Annual Holiday Boat Parade Event Happens: Dec 04, 2010 (6:00 PM) Join us to cheer for the participants at the Riverview Hotel, The Grille at Riverview, or with Santa at Riverside Park where judging will take place. Decorate your boat and compete for one of the cash prizes totaling $1500! Also, the first 30 registered boats will receive a captain's bag stuffed with goodies. Registration is just $10 , and may be done at the Marine Discovery Center, 162 North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach.
Prizes are: $250 Merk's Bar & Grill for 24' and over, $250 Edward Jones for Best Sail, $250 The Grille at Riverview, The Riverview Hotel and The Spa at Riverview for 24' or less, $250 Allstate for Best Musical and $500 Smyrna Yacht Club for Best Overall. Norwood's Annual Holiday Food & Wine Festival Event Happens: Dec 03, 2010 - Dec 04, 2010 Norwood's Restaurant and Wine Shop has become known as the place to be the first weekend in December. In 2010 December 3rd and 4th Norwood's will be host to the 15th Annual Holiday Food & Wine Festival. The weekend's festivities will start out on Friday, Dec. 3rd from 7pm to 9:30, with the chef's cooking demonstration. Learn how the chefs prepare the food and then eat and drink the wines that each chef has chosen to pair with the food. Medal Awards Tasting Evening on Friday. Elegant foods combined with the 'Best of the Best' Award winning wines promise to create the perfect combination for an unforgettable evening. We also feature live music. Tickets for Friday evening event are $50 in advance and $60 after November 30th. Saturday's main event, the Holiday Food & Wine Festival, has something wonderful for everyone! Wine lovers can sample over 500 wines from around the world and receive great discounts on wine purchases through the month of December. Area charities will be served as well, as Norwood's continues in their tradition of giving back to the community. Food Stations, Live Entertainment, Beer and Bubbles Bar, Martini and Bourbon Tasting. Tickets for this event are $49 in advance and $60 after November 30th. The Saturday afternoon event is from 1-5pm. The festival will be a weekend for progressive artists and feature Diplo, who has worked with MIA, Major Lazer, among others. Located on the 90 acres of pristine pasture that is the Edgewater Ranch, this first time festival expects to have a great crowd.
