A Festive Flourish for All!

It was a joy to see so many attendees at the Festive Picnic on Friday 3 December. As the first end-of-year community event of its kind since December 2019, the school and Parent Association were truly delighted to be able to provide this opportunity for AISHK families in 2021. In the interests of COVID-19 safety, some adjustments were made to the event and we appreciated all attendees embracing this, including a very impressive display of picnic expertise all round!

Special thanks must go to the AISHK Parent Association for their contributions of time and particularly the AISHK PA’s sourcing and sponsorhip of all the student activity sets, arts and crafts materials, and also donation of the the very popular Photo Booths! These aspects of the event helped to crate lasting memories of a long-awaited celebration and the event would not have been the same without them. The sponsorship and ongoing support is greatly appreciated.

The newly elected Secondary Prefects and other senior students supervised and guided younger students in the activities arena with enthusiasm, patience and kindness. They are also to be commended and thanked for their display of leadership and community spirit. Thank you to the stellar musical stylings of the senior Rock Band, who had the field singing and jiving with tunes for everyone - from pop and rock favourites to Christmas carols.

The field was buzzing with an atmosphere that had been missed for a long time. For many families, this was their first ever experience of such an occasion at AISHK. We hope all attendees enjoyed the event as much as we enjoyed providing it!
