WEWORK l VAISHNAVI SIGNATURE COWORKING SPACE

1

Located in Bellandur, the IT corridor of Bangalore. This Wework is over 1,50,000 sqft in area and spreads over 10 floors with a terrace. Vaishnavi Signature breaks the language of a typical office space using simple materials and elevating them. The large floor plates were broken down into zones that made the space relatable in scale. This project marries terracota, teak veneer and pattern tiles to create an earthy cosy space with a hint of mid century vibe.

MINIMALISTIC ELEGANCE The main floor plate was divided based on function, using brick jaali, low level shelving and ceiling rafters. With bare cement interiors and wooden elements uplifts the interior and results in a warm earthy enivronment. The main lounge broken into cluster lounge seating interspersed with dining seats makes the space more lively and flow into one and other easily.

CHANNAPATNA LEGS + RECEPTION TABLE Vaishnavi Signature was inspired from local elements of Karnataka. The main reception desk was designed in collaboration with local artists from Channapatna ( toy making town in Karnataka). These legs were carved in the traditional process using the lathe machine and colored using natural dyes. Red from manjista root while yellow from turmeric and like wise. The backlighting elevated the legs by adding a sublte glow and highlighting them

NICHE SEATING AREA Small niche spaces were carved out of the lounge with a living room style aesthetic to break the monotony, and also provide members with alternate seating areas. To add more interest to this space, shelving with books and decor were added. The walls were finished in teak veneer and ergonomic seating were created, making it a cozy retreat for small team meetings without hogging a conference room, or for quiet reading.

THE MATERIAL PALETTE The material palette here was more modern to obtain the flashy business style. Brushed stainless steel, ribbed glass with glassblocks created strong geometric forms and muted tones making a chic space. The pegboard was introduced to create some texture while the juxtaposition of IPS flooring and the bold colors make the space pop. The space was softened with plants and spiced up with elements from the local market like the kilim rugs, embroidered cushions and indian motifs that made the space more relatable.

WEWORK l EGL COWORKING SPACE

Wework EGL is the third Wework in India. A 90000 sqft coworking space is located in Embassy golf links business park in Bangalore. Surrounded by several major corporate headquarters, this building offers a space full of energy and character. Inspired from the concept of saree, the building has a common band like element running through the space in the form of a copper band, tambour panel or a paint strip, thus connecting the entire floorplate. The color palette was a combination of cool and warm colors with strong patterns to create depth.

THE TEAL STAIRCASE Featured in the top 10 Wework staircases globally, this communication staircase was an addition to the exisiting space. The strong aquamarine hue made the entrance lounge pulsating. Raw exposed concrete wall with an acrylic cutout art work create a constrasting effect with the solid colored staircase thereby creating more interest. The warmth of the custom copper lights and the cool teal creates harmony and vibrancy to the space.

Wework Atlanta has a 5 story atrium right in the middle of the building. This space connects the upper floors and also brings in ample daylight. The Atrium was designed as a tropical oasis. A mixture of various kinds of seating along with a number of plants and soft pastel colored grid structure gave the space a cozy and warm vibe. This common area feels like an indoor garden or greenhouse. With plants at every shelf level and hanging vines, they form a natural perimeter to the room. In this atrium setting, a three-seater sofa, rattan chairs have been matched with off-white walls and pastel tones. Rugs ground the space and adds extra texture to it.

A flagship store in SoHo, Manhattan noted for its variety of shops ranging from trendy upscale boutiques to internation chain outlet stores. It is a mix of minimalism, intricacy and innovation.

ENFOLDING SPACES - UNFOLDING POINTS The concept was combining the process of wrapping oneself in a knitwear and the structured cuts revealing parts of the body. The knitwear was inpired from body movements during modern dance. A partition screen was designed by tessalating patterns from those dance moves. This partition was used in specific locations of the space to enclose and reveal as we move through the store. The prime functions like lounge bar & fitting room area were bounded by the tessalated screen. The basement was used for storage, private client discussions and the designers office.
