01 WORK + (2020)
WORK + is a mixed-use project that houses co-working spaces as well as additional amenities. The project recognizes how co-working areas are both individual and collaborative and have static as well as dynamic components. Work + explores this dualism of co-working spaces both formally and programmatically to create a vibrant, holistic and collaborative experience for its users and the general public. Role: team of two, in collaboration with Jennifer Otsuki. Software used: Rhino 3D, Revit, Illustrator

02 STATION DESTINATION (2021) The station and the train are places where people from all statuses and backgrounds are compelled to share the same space on their daily commute. This notion provides the opportunity to leverage public transportation for social interaction. Stations serve as static transit and transition spaces en route to a destination. This thesis emphasizes public transportation’s social and economic role and envisions the transportation hub as an active and vibrant destination. The transportation hub is a public space, an architectural instrument to enable and facilitate social interaction. THE SITE The site is the Expo park / USC station. The station is located in the middle of the street and is accessed from the side walk through a street crossing. On one side of the site is the USC campus and on the other side is the Natural History Museum. This site condition is seen across of the transit system in Los Angeles.

This thesis begins to challenges the present day unspoken rules of transit. How individuals are not supposed to listen to music out loud, eat inside the train or converse with one another. Unconventional programs are inserted into the train in order to transform the commuter’s experience. Public transit does not need to be a mundane repetitive experience. A new encounter or experience can be had everyday.

03 USC HOP HOUSING(2019) Hop Housing activates and invigorates an otherwise outdated campus program – the parking structure. The sport of parkour uses architecture and infrastructure as its armature for skill-based acrobatics. This project explores the relationships between physical movement and the built environment and challenges traditional circulation methods to create a series of overlaid activities. It exploits architectural elements like stairs, walls, and beams to create an exciting and dynamic space. The movements of parkour are used to inspire new architectural relationships. Role: individual Software used : Rhino 3D, Illustrator, photoshop

04 INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE- INCUBATION HUB (2018) INNOVARCH Architects Pvt. Ltd. An incubation hub proposed as an annex to the existing IISc Campus. The project leverages the dense vegetation of the site to create a beatufiful and vibrant campus. The master planning and building design encourage innovation and cross pollination between the occupants. The program consists of 2 incubation towers and an auditorium that are connected by an interactive podium level. The project also deploys sustainable strategies such as green roofing, solar paneling and local sourcing of materials. Role : Led the team in the design and presentation of the competition entry. Team : Chandrashekar HV, Disha C, Manasvi Madhu, Rachana Reddy, Aishwarya Pai
The site consists of several mature trees that posed as a major design constraint. The massing strategy was developed by retaining as much of the healthy trees as possible. Several informal spaces are proposed to provoke and encorage interdisiplinary collaborations amongst the users. The project deploys an arterial pedestrian axis that connects all the formal and informal spaces. Proposed arterial axis Pockets of the site available for construction Existing site access

REPLAY (2018) A playground constructed out of recycled materials in a government school in Bengaluru. Part of an initiative started by two of my classmates and me. The play equipment consists of a tire jungle gym, a rope bridge and a rope ladder with a blackboard set. The main structure was made out of reclaimed wood and secured using nails or screws and in some places, rope. The playground was designed and built to be cost efficient. The total cost of the project was only 6000 INR (85 USD). Role : Part of a team of three, worked on the conceptual stages, architectural drawing as well as in Construction and documentation In collaboration with Sanjana SatyaPrakash & Aishwarya C.
PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
Old tires recycled from our homes, fixed with 6 inch screws. Scaffolding wood reclaimed from construction yards
Leftover plywood from an interior project reclaimed from construction site, fixed to scaffolding and very support given for durability.
Local Welder helped to create a archway with metalstrip to increase stability and support the structure
The bottom tire / paint buckets filled with concrete in order to provide a strong base for the structures.
Hammock Knot was used for kids net and rope climbing. Leftover paint was sourced from homes and architectural firms
Square joining wood a were us support
Proposed intervention area (17ft x 9ft)
e Knot was used for of scaffolding and 6 inch nails sed for additional t.
