Journal of Image Creation

I am Aishwaryashree and I’m a Fashion Communication student in National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kangra (Batch of 2020). I operate from behind the lens, in ways every aspiring designer does; as a photographer, spot boy, art director, stylist and an editor. I am a huge fan of abstract imagery, hence my focus is mostly to capture the uncaptured. My inspiration comes from ongoing trends and my love for all sorts of media. I don’t really enjoy explaining my work, it kills the essence of it.

Story
Model: Bhavika Panchal
“Back in the 1950’s, I hopped on an Air-India plane hosted by a maiden like hostess. Her hair sideways, fish-like eyes and her curvaceous silhouette wrapped in 6 metes of blueish coloured beatitude. She reminded me of my mother, who died young and alluring. I always pictured her in our ancestral adobe house. She watered her beloved vegetation the same way she smeared herself with mustard oil, with tenderness. She smelled of authentic India and she starved for the wave of change. She embraced herself. “But things could be better” she said.”
Ancestral House
Vegetation
Concept A candid approach to what it feels like when you go back home in the 1950s. A simple recreation of a house that smells of ripe fruits and winter. The aura is automatically created by the primitive artistry of Kangra and enhanced by the usage of Khadi Silk Sarees. Khadi, to celebrate the post independence era of the 1950s.
