Valley of the Waves

Valley of the waves By Juliet Dijkstra I sat down and spread my red flower patterned towel around me. Then I stood up and walked to the water’s edge. At the shore the waves are big and come crashing down then turns into foam. The further I walked the calmer and smaller the waves became until there was almost no sign of them and only the water that went up and down, up and down. “Beep Beep Beep!!” the alarm went off!! Then I looked at the rock wall in front of me, I backed away step by step until I was running. I stopped running and heard a loud clicking noise in front of me I spun around to look at what made that sound. My gaze went up to the rock wall and saw nothing then all of a sudden there was a “Whoosh!!” I looked up and saw a humongous wave coming towards “watch out Jasmine!!” I yell at my sister then I dive. As I look up I see people running around and when the wave hit them I could see them tumbling or diving with the wave. As my head popped I skimmed the water with my eyes. There she is!!! I said as Jasmines head popped up out of the water. She was a meter away from me. I marched right over to her and said “Why are you there you were standing next to me when the wave came?” “It’s because the wave dragged me there didn’t you know that?” asked Jasmine. “No why I was just asking you something” I replied. “I’m hungry lets go ask mom and dad for something to eat okay?” sure I’m also hungry” Then I walked all the way to our towels and sat down and I relaxed for a while. “Later let’s go to the water” I say to my sister “alright but right now I’m very tired so let’s go later and we can get wiped out again” she said as she fell asleep.
