The Many Different Styles of Writing a Perfect Bibliography A bibliography is the list of resources that you compile at the end of your research paper. These resources are the ones that aided you in writing your paper. It is always included in the last few pages. If you keep a track of all the resources that you are using for your paper while you are writing it, you will find that it will be much easier for you in the end to make a collation of them. So, always make a draft of your resources when doing your work and make sure to include the full titles, the name of the authors and date of publications. You can either save this on your desktop or print it out to keep it safe with you. When gathering the ultimate bibliography for your term paper, make sure all the resources are in an arranged order according to the alphabets. The writer’s name should be given first. If a source does not have a title then they should be put in alphabetical order using the name of their authors. There are so many ways a bibliography can be written so make sure you use the one your teacher prefers. You can use the MLA format or the APL format to make sure that your source’s formatting is correct. On many occasions, you will come across a source which does not have an author who is recorded in the books; this usually happens when you are making a citation of a newspaper article or something taken from the websites. So if you come across such an issue, you should just merely move to the next step of your quotation work. Here are examples of how to list down different sources: • Books: the author of the book first, then the main title of the book. Date of publication if known and city it was published in • Magazine: mention who the writer is with the title coming next. Give the number of pages and the edition as well • Newspaper: the writer with last name first as well. Give date of publication as well • Encyclopedia: the name of the encyclopedia and the date it was edited. Give volume number and article number. • Person: Full name (with his/her last name coming first). Job, Date interview was conducted. • Movie: mention the name of the movie with the director. • Newspaper article: The author with last name mentioned first. “Title of article.” Name of newspaper and the country/state it was published in. Given date and edition, section and the number of pages (also version). Resources: http://www.aoneessays.net/
