Wolfgang’s Steakhouse
W
olfgang’s serves the best Porterhouse in Manhattan, and boasts a traditional menu in a traditional atmosphere. Jay-Z eats there and so do many other big name Manhattanites. The flagship Park Avenue Wolfgang’s is located in a famed historic building—the former dining room of the Vanderbilt hotel—where a grand, tiled, arched ceiling designed by Rafael Gustavino sets as the backdrop of your meal and makes for a

great location for a business meeting in “thick clouds of testosterone,” according to New York Times. Dry aged on-site under exact temperatures and humidity controls, USDA prime steak starting at US$29.95, is served in mammoth portions alongside mashed or baked potatoes and asparagus, broccoli or spinach—a gourmet steak experience in midtown Manhattan.

Maze Grill
M
aze Grill has picked up numerous awards and a Michelin star since opening in 2008, a first for this type of restaurant in London. This contemporary, but cozy dining space is Gordon Ramsey’s attempt to create a London steak place similar to the ones in New York. For those looking for a place to enjoy a good piece of beef Maze Grill could just be the best steak place in London. Choose from Casterbridge grain-fed, 21 day aged beef, Hereford grass-fed and Aberdeen grass-fed, Wagyu Gold “9th grade” which will run you at least £100 and, Creekstone Prime-USDA labeled and corn-fed prime beef aged for 35 days which all come in various cuts, from NY strip and Filet to Ribeye and Sirloin and served on a wood plank.

Hy’s Steakhouse

amed a “Canadian institution” by Dine. to.com, this steakhouse is located in the heart of Toronto’s financial district. Hy’s serves up the best steaks in the city in their high-ceiling, wood paneled dining rooms where bankers and lawyers meet frequently for power lunches and business meetings. Opening its doors in 1962 Hy’s is a traditional steakhouse where AAA Canadian beef takes center stage. Try the New York Strip (14oz, C$42.95) prepared with Hy’s signature steak sauce, Cajun rib steak, or the gorgonzola filet mignon (14oz, $46.95). If you prefer a surf and turf option, Hy’s serves your choice of a filet mignon or New York strip with a broiled lobster tail and lemon butter (C$51.95), or try the blackened Ahi tuna (C31.95).

Buenos Aires La Cabaña

a Cabaña has been around since the early 1930’s and has served every Argentine president since 1935 and other high profile politicians like Charles De Gaulle, Henry Kissinger, Eva Peron, Richard Nixon, and Fidel Castro. Jazz great Louis Armstrong, Sophia Loren and Joan Crawford have also enjoyed steaks at this historic gaucho style steakhouse, or parrilla, located in the La Recoleta neighborhood, just blocks away from the five-star Hyatt. Try the Bife con Lomo (T-bone
steak), Bife de Chorizo (Baby Beef - a steak cut off the rib and similar to sirloin or Porterhouse), Bife de Costilla (Prime Rib steak) and Asado de tira (thin strip ribs), which are grilled on a searing spit, and don’t forget to pair your meat with a glass of Argentinean wine. Dinner for two run upwards of 350 pesos, about US$95. Don’t go to dinner too early, Dinner in Argentina doesn’t start until after 9:30 p.m.
