Arangetram programme charmed many K um Nikhila Ramanthan's Bharatnatyam Arangetram programme was organised at Karthiyayani Socio Cultural Complex Hall in association with Sree U t t a r a G u r u v a y u rappan Temple Mayur Vi h a r Phase-on November 8. The jam packed auditorium was witness to a dance performance by
Nikhila, a very soulful music by G Elangovan and precise nattuvangam by Marie Elangovan. The accompanying artists included G Raghuraman on the flute and MV Chandrasekhar on the mridangam. The highlight of the programme was the rendering of B h o
Shambo, a piece dedicated to Lord Shiva composed by Swami Dayananda Saraswati. Nikhila ended the programme with a Tillanna by Guru Late KJ Govindarajan. The programme was presided over by Lakshmi Chandra, chairman, Trisaraa Trust.
EDM honours kids on Children's Day T
he administration of EDM mall honoured the children of Kaushambi who had canvassed for the recently held blood donation camp at Nanda Towers. Around 46 children participated in the programme. The children were quite enthusiastic about the whole show. Apart from a drawing competition (pic-1), several interesting games were arranged. A cake-cutting ceremony (pic-1) followed thereafter. Certificates were distributed (pic-1) to the participants while gift vouchers and certificates were awarded to the winners.

He was honoured with Shringar Mani award and Kathak Guru Award.
