Exhibition : «Un-Masked

Un-Masked!

A unique open-air exhibition in the shop-windows of the galleries on rue des Beaux-Arts

Paris is in need of art. . . After the museums, our galleries are now closed and cannot carry on their business normally. However, Paris which is the gallery capital of the world is teeming with ideas and initiatives. The area of Saint Germain-des-Prés is historically home to an unparalleled concentration of culture and business. Unlike other parts of the capital, the galleries blossom here with their « faces un-masked », allowing visitors to enjoy the mas-

terpieces visible in the shop windows !

At the heart of this ecosystem, the dealers on the rue des Beaux-Arts have decided to raise their heads and stand tall. While taking into account the anti-COVID regulations, the galleries have joined forces to offer visitors a museum-quality exhibition, accessible every day of the week directly from the sidewalk.

Uniting some twenty exhibitors, the exhibition « Un-Masked » unfolds in the windows of the galleries, visible from the outside. The exhibition will be symbolically inaugurated on Thursday, April 1st, date of the monthly late evening opening organized by the association “ Le Jeudi des Beaux-Arts “, and will remain on show until April 20th.

Centered around the unifying theme : The Exposed Face as an Expression of Humanity, our galleries offer an eclectic and stimulating journey, through the specialties which are grouped on our historic street : Contemporary art, Modern art, Graphic arts, Tribal arts, Design, Antiquities. . .

Come and discover a shamanic mask from the collection of André Breton, a New-Ireland mask from the Galerie du Dragon Collection, a portrait by Jean-Michel Basquiat, works by Vincent Bioulès, Marina Abramović, Erró, Antoine Schneck, Elsa & Johanna, Francis Bacon, matali crasset . . .

We are pleased to announce the participation of the Ecole National Supérieur des BeauxArts de Paris in « Un-Masked » !
